Hello I am using a Micromax p480 with Android 5.0.1.I have rooted it and installed link2sd . My second partition is 3.50GB .I want to install the dark Knight rises. The obb file is 1.78 GB and although my second partition is free my internal memory is only 212 MB and hence I can not paste in the obb folder as insufficient storage message comes up. Where should I paste it. I have already installed and linked the app to SD card

Hi, I have successfully done exchange internal whit external sd card memories following the instructions from great thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108775
The only problem I've occurs is "insufficient storage available" when try to install some aps, not all, from play store or aps previously downloaded to internal-external memory. I was on the phone properly format required partitions for LINK2SD apk which works perfectly and I have a lot of free internal (now ext 341 MB used 2GB free) and external memory(now internal total space 8.95GB available 2.1GB).
For example I successfully install Nenamark2 after an unsuccessful attempting to install the Electopia from play store when showed up error "insufficient storage available".
If someone can help me I would be grateful:fingers-crossed:

Are you using LINK2SD to move you data??
Sent from my LG-P765 using xda premium
This strange behavior happen to me when I swap internal and external memory. It seem to work fine when your internal memory (real phone internal) is not nearly full. If internal memory (real phone internal) is almost full I got a not enough memory even there're a lot of available space on my external SD (which is now internal mem by swap)
I think there might be some system config that not properly changed for swap script. So I use Link2SD and directoryBind instead.
how to use sd memory as internal memory(Xolo q800) in root?should i root my xolo q800
some big games like nfs mostwanted cant run due to low internal storage.so plz tell me how to use it.
also what are the other uses of rooting a device??.my htc dream(tmobile G1) is also rooted with cyanogen mod.can i use my sd card space for ram?and internal storage.also how to.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39393136#post39393136 - the rooting method i presume to use.is it good or is there any other method??
Hi,
Myself Using XOLO Q800.
previously:
sdcard->sdcard0
sdcard1-> null
sdcard0-> internal memory
But When i inserted my sd card . It swapped the sdcard-> sdcard0
sdcard0->memrory card
sdcard1-> intenral memroy
so u just insert fresh memory card.
copy the entire internal memory (where past games sd-data stored) to fresh memory card.
change the installation preference to "system decide"
now Reboot.
So changing installation location will place the obb file on sd card....does this has any demerits??
I am using Samsung Galaxy Ace GT- S5830i, using stock rom, rooted and having a 1.5 gb 2nd partition on Sd card. Whenever I download an app from Play store , it gets installed in my SD card (1st partition) after which i link the apk+dex+lib manually using Link2sd. Whenever i link the app, i saw that i recover the size equivalent to the dex size in my internal memory, for eg if the dex size is 2 mb and lib size is 4 mb and my internal free space is 30 mb before linking, then after linking the files i saw the internal free space is shown 32 mb. I don't understand why i didn't recover the space due to the lib files. Is it that the library files are not deleted from the internal memory but are merely copied to the Sd 2nd partition. I am confused. Please help.
Hi,
I tried installing high end games which require high memory space on my canvas HD. This was as per the guidelines mentioned on the download sites as well as some threads on this forum. The problem that I am facing is as follows:
# I have an external memory card 14GB. I installed the .apk file first and then copied the contents of the cache folder (.obb extension!!??) into external sd card>Android>obb. Then I tried to run the game but it asks me to download the cache separately. What am I doing wrong?
# I also wanted to know, I have my default write disk selected as external SD card. So whenever I install any .apk file, does the program get installed in the external memory card?
# In the apps section, there is one phone memory and internal SD card memory. Does the phone memory correspond to 2 GB default memory and the internal SD card correspond to the 14 GB? While installing any program, what memory should I select?
Cheers
I know this has been posted before but there was no working responses..micromax a121 was has two memories internal 1.23 gb free and phone storage 1 GB so it runs out of space very quickly and moreover you can't even install games that are larger than 1 gb..i have a sd card 16 gb but it doesn't install any app or data to the sd card it still install apps on either the internal or phone storage..i have tried editing the void.fstab file but it has only one line dev_mount sdxard/storage/sdcard1 auto/devices/msm_sdcc.2/mmc_host
and i have also tried using other void files but no success in swapping.
my phone is rooted with vroot and android is 4.3 if it's any help..help guys i really need the space:crying:
I use Apps2sd on my a121 to move apps to sd card and can also install games larger than 1 GB by linking them to ext card through Apps2sd.
