I know this is available in many thread already but the files are really confusing, I just want to know where to find the latest cwm recovery touch for my galaxy tab 10.1 p7500 (is this p4). Dirrct link if available.
Oh and can I use the one here? http://builder.clockworkmod.com/ in the existing device for p4?
Thanks a lot. It will really mean alot.
For cwm touch get it from here http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Tar it and flash via odin, unless you know the commands to manually write the recovery.

Should i take the samsung galaxy tab 10.1? P4 isn't listed. :/ oh and speaking of rom manager, how come when i try to flash cwm via rom manager, the app doesn't list my tab (p4)? Only p4wifi and others

galaxy tab 10.1 is p4, if you have the wifi only version, its p4wifi. Regarding rom manager, i don't really know why..

our phone isnt supported with rom manager yet, there is clockworkmod for our phone though but you need to install it through odin
Download Odin 4.28 and the ClockworkMod file, and flash your phone to CWM that way, it works- thats how i got my phone running CM7.1.

No need for links. Clockworkmod Recovery is now officially available through ROM Manager.
Solved (for me)
I also have a Samsung GT I5500 (Galaxy 5, Europa)
So, as I see, Rom Manager free isn't available for Android 2.1 (that's the version I had).
Although, Clockwork recovery can be installed using Odin, but to start the phone in "recovery" mode it's needed to do it trough the console in the computer, using the developer tools (with adb) ...or, use it just after it's installed.
After installing that recovery image it's automatically started, for the first time.
But you can use it to install another newer and better ROM, that can be compatible with ROM Manager. I installed CyanogenMod 7.
First you have to "root" your phone, here is how I did it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19576527#post19576527
To install something using Odin use this post (about installing ClockworkMod Recovery and CyanogenMod 7), it's newbie-friendly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416190
But I recommend using the files from this post (are the latest 7 January 2012):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149110&highlight=mad2sd
And, as in that last post says, be sure to install the "Baseband", without that I got a boot cycle:

Hi all,
I did a bad work with my galaxy tab. I've flashed it with a new ROM but this ROM is not working correctly, I can't see correctly my display probably due to a bad driver inside the build. My problem is that I've no more a working ROM on my galaxytab and I can't reflash it.
USB seems not working correctly, so device is powered on but I can't access to it from Windows.
Is there a way to to upload a file to internal storage in recovery mode or download mode?
Thanks
Stefano
Stefano,
Depends what recovery you have as recovery...stock recovery no you can't, clockwork recovery yes you can. From download you can use Odin.
What model Tab do you have? Wifi, 3G? What version firmware were you on before the problem and what do you want to restore to?
Ciao
Hi, yes I've Clockwork installed but how I can 'upload' a file using Odin? The standard guide shows that Odin3 is used only to upload a .tar.md5 file to root the phone....
Thanks

That's why i asked what sort of tab you have and what you want to flash your tab to..
There are odin files available to go back to 3.0.1, to go to Early Touchwiz, both for Wifi only tabs...if you are really stuck it is often beneficial to go all the way back to 3.0.1 then go in whatever direction you like.
Or, if the tab is sort of working even tho the display is corrupt you might be able to connect and use adb to push a rom to the sdcard and then flash from clockwork. More info Stefano, what have you got by way of tab, and where do you want to get to?
Download the samsung drivers on your computer . Then install android sdk so you can use the adb if you haven't already. Then you can adb to push a rom to your device and flash.
I'll try ASAP...I'll also add ROM and device details.
I've a Samsung Galaxy TAB 10.1 GT-P7500
Problem is with ROM: [ROM][CWM][EUR][3G] BroodComb G-P7500 XWKG9 [ALPHA]

I know how to unbrick my tablet but I cant find the file I need. I need a ROM that can be flashed via odin. I dont care what ROM it is as long as it gets me running. All the ROMS I find are zip files which will not work.
I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10" 16GB Wifi Only (P7510)

You have to do a free registration in order to download the files...

Sometimes you need to unzip the roms in order to get a flashable .tar file. Also make sure you download Odin files and not CWM recovery roms.

Hi
Does anyone have CWM "recovery.zip" for Gtab 10.1 GT P7500. I can only find md5 and .img files. I am refering the latest version 5.5.0.4.
Thank you
I asked around for this a few days ago and a guy posted a link for me...I can't find it now...darn it!
I read in another thread that you can use ROM Manager to flash your IMG though. If you still have that zipped up, park it on your SD card, open ROM Manager and go "install zip from SD Card". Select it and flash and I think you will be okay...I have never tried it that way though.
Can anyone else confirm this works? Or if you are brave give it a try and let us know!

This is the GT-P7500 CWM recovery 5.504 with Odin3.
View attachment Tab10.1Recovery.zip
There are some issue upgrade ICS 4.0.4 with rom manager.
like boot loop, screen rollong in CWM recovery mode. maybe not affect by Rom manager...
but most issue reply with rom manager installed.
For rolling screen there's a fix, flashing custom bootloader, but causes issues on official ICS at the moment...

Thank you for your files. Just to explain why I need it: since i am a linux user i try to flash my tab using linux. The following procedures did not want to work:
-Adb / Fastboot
-heimdall
-flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img.
The only method to flash the recovery for me is flashing it with the recovery as a .zip file and then rebooting the recovery. In this way I was able to install CM10 Jelly Bean on my tab.
Cheers.

Did you zip it up first? Don't extract it.
You can use Mobile ODIN to install the .md5 recovery if you're rooted
The pro version is on the Play Store or the lite version is free in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347899
I don't think that zipping the image solves the problem. As far as I know you have to zip it without compression. It would be helpful if there would be a how-to for Linux in this case.

My Samsung Galaxy S2 SGH-I727 is stuck in a bootloop and I'm trying to make a backup of my data, as I am getting a new phone on Monday (woo, finally an upgrade!). It seems from my limited knowledge and research that the best way to do this would be to flash CWM recovery. The problem is, when I download the CWM recovery for my phone from the clockworkmod ROM Manager page, I can't seem to find a tar.md5 file after unzipping, to use to flash using ODIN. Am I missing something here?

I dont know clearly but clockworkmod ROM manager app includes ROM's not recovery file. If you search your devices forum you can find CWM file which you need to flash from ODIN.

I wasn't referring to the app. CWM's Rom Manager section of their website has a section for CWM recovery files, but none seemed to contain the tar.md5 file I needed. Luckily, I stumbled across one in one of the threads here which worked. XDA is great!
