Hello,
I recently installed Nemesis Kernel & Enigma ROM in my Xperia sola and the ROM is crap - it takes like 5 secs to open the contacts app when I want to make a call. I don't want to get back to stock ROM because I wanted to get rid of google crap (google+, gtalk, maps), so what ROM do I chose now? there are plenty at the Development section and I don't want to make a bad choice again.
thanks
first it is not good to say CRAP because the man worked hard on it (u dont know how much of work/time this need)
second if u want a rom with out google apps other things try Tiny Xperia
But is recommend Project GX ROM
about contact this is sony’s problem all roms had it
And plz PReSS ThaNX

Hello everyone, I´m new on the android word and just got myself an x10 mini, and would like to install a ROM. the real thing im after is the ability to save apps to SD, I tried installing App2sd, using a tutorial in these forums, but it completely broke android 3 times, getting stuck on an endless reboot cycle.
Now that that option is out of the window I am looking at ROMS.
My phone is flashed with an international firmware, with band M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015, Android 2.1. What would be the best ROM (given persona experience) fully working, of course?
Thank you,
DamDSx
hi im pretty new too, but found it quite easy, i installled 2.3.3, i havent got time right now to post the links il get back 2 you if you havnt sorted it, but you can get all links and software from this site, the easiest way i found was using superoneclick to root, just one click! then youl need xrecovery to backup (just incase) &restore then browse for the rom you want to use, if you have a look you'll find all these on here with n00bie instructions 4 us beginners, hope this helps some what.
Im going with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200675
Currently backing up with Xrecovery, but im not sure if I need to wipe user data and cache? the rom guide does not say anything

welcome 2 android
ROM's are of personal taste and as the camera problem of gingerbread is fixed, most of the ROM's are fully working.....as u r new to android, i would suggest you to go for MiniCM7 2.0.5 as the MiniCM is perfectly "tailored" for the mini's small screen estate...however, other ROM's like GingerDX, FroyoBread, MiniCM6, Andread etc are very stable alternatives too ..i am using "FRoyoBread" latest version because i find the battery consumption to be less than the Gingerbread builds
if you are after the ability of moving the apps to SD, most ROM's would suffice. But, i'll give u a caution, don't move apps with "Widget" support or "operational" apps to the SD card...many a time u will get a "problem loading widget" popup or your SD card won't show up on the computer.
try some ROM's until u find the one u would like the best...most of the ROM's are great because OUR DEVS ARE AWESOME
if i helped you, press the "THANKS" button

Thank you. Android is awesome!
I´m trying GingerDX, the only problem I have found is the keyboard. it was too big for the screen (Unmodified X8 port) but ThickButtons from the market fixed it. Loving Gingerbread so far. On a side note, my new phone, and thus Android, has put some stress between me and my wife, because ive been spending more time with the phone than with her! lol!
Indeed the devs are awesome. THANK YOU!!!!!
Hi Guys.
I was running an old version of WolfBreaks's Froyo ROMS for the X10 and Google+ Instant Upload was working perfectly.
Now the other day I upgraded to WB 4.0.3 GingerBread and Google+ Instant Upload no longer works!
I love having back the SEMC Camera UI, but really miss the Instant Upload.
Also missing is the option to Share via Google+ using the Gallery's 'Share' menu, and this option was working with the CM6.1 - based ROM I was using before.
And from the Google+ application itself I can share photos's, including the photo's I make with the SEMC based GB ROM, but I can't find there any of my movies to share!
So my question is: Is this a problem with Wolfbreak's 4.0.3 that can be fixed in that ROM? Or is this a problem that all SEMC based ROMs have? Is it a problem specific to the X10 release of SE? Or do the latest ARC etc ROMs have the same problem?
If the latter, then time to complain to Google and/or SE, and to switch to a ROM based on CM until the problem is fixed in SEMC based ROMs...
I just really like the SEMC dialer, Contacts app, and Camera UI... So that's why I would prefer to have the problem solved in this ROM!
(PS: I'm asking this in a new thread and not in WB's thread, because I don't want to ask my Q just about WB's ROM but I want to know for all ROMs if it works or not)
wrong section , so I won't answer it .
@mods , please move or close .
Im using T.E.A.M transparent rom which is based on the official 2.3 and am not having any problem with google+. could try asking in wolfs thread to see if anyone else is having the same problem if you haven't already.
But yes this thread does need moving.
My apologies for posting in the wrong section. X10 - Android Dev is about the only forum I check, and I wanted to reach users of more ROMs than just Wolfbreak's -- it didn't even cross my mind that another section of the forum exists and might be more appropriate. Again, my apologies. If I knew how to move the thread myself I would do it.
I will try out some of the other ROMs based on SE's standard GB 2.3.3 and see how well they work. TEAM Transparent - I never heard of that one? Where can I download it from?
Thanks.
Here us the link to the thread.

I would of thought Google+ should work on wolfs Rom as well because there both based on stock, maybe you could try reflashing it? I dont know if that would sort it, its just a guess.

I tried TEAM Transparent, and Google+ freshly installed on this ROM. The Instant Upload feature of Google+ didn't work for me on this ROM either. So I'm strongly inclined to believe it's something to do with the SEMC camera software.
(PS: Moderators, please do move this thread to a more appropriate forum! I don't seem to be able to do so myself)
Instant upload works for me on wolf 4.0.4 using stock se camera

Get updated to gingerbread now.. There are many interesting options u would love ..!! N yes all goggle apps are supported in gingerbread.. N I find it more stable n fast..so make a try.. n 2ndly ur post is in the development section.. Please post ur questions in Q&A section next time..
Gintonic.SE + zombie-pack kernel by slade ..
If you want to stick on your rom, you can make a backup and try a clean install. But i recommend upgrading to gingerbread. The roms on 2.3.x are really stable and fast, but keep in my you will lose all your data as 2.2.x data can not be restored on a 2.3 rom.
I really needed this app but no one made it seperately and one guy did it bit when i wanted to shut down, there were no options, just a reboot!!!!!!u can check also that i started this thread in themes n apps tooo
THIS 'MIGHT' WORK NEEDS TO BE FLASHED VIA XRECOVERY BUT PLEASE DO A BACKUP OF YOUR ROM FIRST

i dont think it will work
could someone be so nice giving me a tip for a custom rom which is Android 4.4+ that is very stable and have long accu time.
it must not have the ultra super future functions and must not be the latest. Also don't need super kernel tuning switches.
At the moment i'm on 4.3 rooted stock rom and the features are fine for me.
Need only a newer rom for playing pokemon go
thanx Michael
