Ok so I've seen a lot of talk about these things in the HTC One forums so I thought I'd try and put it all in one place.

How To? Easy Unlock/Root/Recovery Flash guide byTorxx
Bootloop? I got in one after Aroma froze, I tried going back into recovery and it only flashed up for a second and then rebooted.
1. Re-lock boot loader, then unlock it again
2.Wipe cache via Fastboot("Fastboot Erase Cache").
3. Flash Recovery again. Reboot into recovery.
4. Sideload a ROM with ADB
International ROMs work on the AT&T HTC One.
Gaps in the Zero Gap design.Yes there are some gaps, we've all seen pictures, and there's more about that issue here.

It's NFC. It's there to let you know NFC is enabled, to get rid of it, flash an international ROM, or go to settings>more>NFC and uncheck the tick box(Note:This will turn NFC off.)
Faint blue horizontal lines on the screen in direct sunlight. I've seen them they exist, you may want to check if you haven't seen them. IDK what to do about this problem yet.
Faint popping sounds after playing a sound through the speakers. I've heard this too, but I hear a software update may fix it. If you want to hear this yourself listen to a sound, stop it and place the phone near your ears and after about 2-3 seconds you may hear it. (Note: Very very faint sound need to be in a quiet room.)

That ugly sticker on the back That sticker has your IMEI and stuff, that you don't really care about unless you need to send your phone in for repairs, so hold on to it. (Note: AT&T model seems to come with another IMEI,Serial# sticker in the box, not sure if other come with it as well.)

You must Have HSPL!
- Do a task 29 (not essential, but recommended)
- Flash the 2.10.50.08_2 radio (not essential, but recommended)
- Flash The ROM
- Hard Reset (hold the volume up and down button once the flashing reaches 100%)
- Post your feedback
That's taken from Shu.[OP] that was posted on Cruzer's HD2 ROM. It's what you need to do to flash a ROM. Long as you don't use a .51 radio, you're fine. Example: 2.10.50.08_2 is good for Tmobile USA, but if you had a .51 in the radio, it'd brick your cell. All the basics are covered in the tutorials in the HD2 General forums or just do a search for it. Make sure you do the right HSPL. You can do a search to find that out as well. To get into bootloader, just pull the battery and hold down the bottom part of the volume button and then put the battery back in and turn it on. Hold it till you see the rainbow screen. Dusk is good for TMOUS. I've used it and it's pretty cool.
Think I had wrong radio. Trying to recover now...

Doesn't have to be the one I listed. I use 2.12.50.xx
Dusk Is Compatible with T-Mobile.
To every one that want to know.
Of course Dusk Roms can be used on the T-Mobile US
Reason I am so sure and why veru easy to check is that
all of his Beta Theme has T-Mobile US to flash his test roms
on.

Hey everyone, I've searched thru the forum looking to see if someone had the same issues I did, and the stellar assistance that was given to others with various problems, I'm hoping that I can get the same (haven't seen anyone with my particular issues yet).
As mentioned in the title, I'm using a stock T-Mobile Amaze, unlocked and I'm using it in Barbados. A few weeks ago, a notification popped up on my phone.

Naturally, I was curious to see what this update was, but after ensuring that everything that was required for the update was in place, I see this...
...which I'm sure means there's some error in installing the update. The phone freezes, and I can't get out of this without doing a battery pull a la blackberry. This is issue 1.
Issue 2 is that a lot of my menus have wrong names, e.g. the 1 for Wireless connections says "Turn It On"
and even the options within the menus are wrong, e.g. In the display menu, to set the screen brightness, that option is entitled "Set A PIN code to lock your UIM Card"
Further to these, often when I try to access many of my settings, the whole shebang crashes, and asks me about sending an error report. Til now, nothing has changed in that regard. Any assistance to these problems would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Your best bet is just to do a master reset on the phone. It should clear up all those issues.
tried it...didn't work (well, the menus still are screwed up, and the settings keep crashing when i try to access some of them, like the Sound menu.)

Have you tried locking your bootloader and flashing the stock firmware?
You already unlocked your bootloader, right?
Just flash a custom rom.
If you REALLY want to flash the 1.43 update then relock your bootloader and flash this: http://goo.gl/KvHzj
Rename it to PH85IMG.zip and store it on the root of your sdcard.
It will update everything.
Then unlock your bootloader again, reroot and you'll be good.
I have an AT&T Note that has locked me out (bought from ebay), and the VOLUME UP is broken so I can't get into recovery.
I feel like my only hope getting into the phone is "adb reboot recovery". The problem is I can't get into settings to check USB debugging
Is there anybody out there that knows if it is possible to disassemble a ROM and make changes so that instead of USB debugging being OFF by default, it is ON?
And if you know it's possible, does anybody know of anyone that could handle the task. Thanks a bunch guys:good:
Any other ideas are welcome, I think if I can get into recovery I can factory reset and get past the lock. Will this even work?
if your rooted, you can use titanium backup to get into recovery mode
He is locked out, can't get past the lockscreen. How will he install TiBU?
Since the volume button is broken, and possibly other things wrong, why not get a new mainboard?
Or send it to a JTAG service to force a new rom into the phone.
Sorry didn't see that, couldn't you just flash a stock rom with Odin, the volume down button works right?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Ya I tried flashing a stock rom, it still doesn't get me past the lock screen. And this is a new logicboard already. What if there is a MOD or something that adds boot to recovery in the power menu? Then I could get into recovery. I would have to be able to flash it with odin though. I have 3 notes, one needs jtag, the good one I gave to my wife and this one I pulled from a note run over by a car haha. I would like to get this one going I can live without a volume button!
I think the next step is finding a way to get recovery on the power menu!
The new Novena J2 rom (stock ICS) has the four reboot options in the power menu. Go for that.
I think plan B would be to ask a developer to cook you a rom that has the lock screen removed completely.

A couple questions, Where can I find this rom you speak of, and is it flash-able with odin?
If this rom exists im set, thanks man. I've been looking but can't seem to find it.
Really?

Hi all,
Looking to bootloader unlock a P769 to intsall custom ROMS.
Here's the current system info (rooted w/ CWM):

It looks like I can use this (kuma82's) method to unlock the bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2601480
But I'm seeing other threads for people looking for alternate methods to unlock the P769 bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557249
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2653639
But I can't establish why those people cannot just use Kuma's guide, need to know that his guide will work for this phone.
Any ideas??
I used kuma82's method
The P769 is annoying to unlock but kuma82's method worked for me after I'd unsuccessfully tried various others. The trick seems to be to leave your L9 on with data connected for as long as you can (45 mins is suggested, but I left it for around double that). Make sure you disable any screen lock and turn on "show touches" in developer options before you do anything - the crazy messed up screen drove me insane I also opted to leave the screen on and left the phone charging throughout so that sleep didn't interfere. Good luck!

Can you tell me the date under your battery?
Date under battery
Sure, it's May 2013. I purchased the phone in Nov 2013 reconditioned from Wind Mobile in Canada. I updated to the latest official kdz using offline flash (21D, I think) and had artas182x locked bootloader CWM recovery on there (as I was thinking of flashing kuma82's themed rom for locked b/l). Didn't have any joy with unlock methods listed on XDA and elsewhere, gave up for a few months, then tried kuma82's script and it worked. Hopefully others are finding the same.
Device is a pretty much new LG V30 from verizon, running android 8.
I have done pretty much nothing with the device yet. No root, no tinkering, nothing. I accidentally accepted the software update request it showed me today, which I didn't want. I shut the device down but everytime I would turn it on it would start the update progress.
The only other option I had was booting into recovery, so I did that. I was presented with the following options:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So I went with factory reset. After that the phone won't boot anymore, and all I see is this screen:
What can I do now?
Again: No root. No unlocked bootloader. Nothing. I used LG's "require password on boot" feature though, which I assume is equal to android's full disk encryption. (?)
I talked to LG already since it's under warrenty (got it literally last week) - LG however told me the warrenty is void because there is a small crack on the back of the phone. WTF? Is that even true? I didn't drop the phone. I don't even know where the crack comes from. It's small. Shouldn't the warrenty cover that TOO instead of voiding the warrenty for everything else? Like jesus christ all I want is LG to fix my software why does a crack on the back matter?
From what I see my only option is to access fastboot and re-flash the ROM? The thing is: How do I access fastboot on this phone? Power and Vol- brings me into recovery (stock) everytime. Are there flashable images for the V30?
No one knows what I should try or what I could look into? This doesn't sound like it could be something overly complex to me.
Issue still persists. I had a talk with verzion at their store and they said I'd have to pay a $149 deductible. So what can I do now?
I'm assuming flashing a ROM via fastboot. Two questions:
1) Where can I get the ROM from?
2) How can I access fastboot on this phone? The method suggested everywhere puts me in LG's stock recovery, not in fastboot.
