Hi,
1. Any one tested the ~GamerZ Kernel~ on HP Touchpad?
2. How is it, and how to apply.
thanks
It works fine for the ROMs its intended for. I haven't been able to develop for a while so it is a bit behind in terms of things.

Which chromebook do you have? Unless you have the chromebook pixel I wouldn't recommend it due to the computing power necessary to compile from source. However any x86 based chromebook would work even the ARM based ones with the proper cross compiler would work. Overall, yes it possible provided you have the proper packages and complier installed with Ubuntu.

Here is Pinoyto's source for CM10.1 on the P769. Please thank him as he was kind enough to share with us.
Please also create mirrors as my dropbox account gets hammered daily and downloads get blocked.
Let's get started on some custom roms(MIUI please!) and CM fixes.

Not a problem. Anything I can do to help the community and keep development on our phones alive.
If I'm not top busy today I'll set up a git for everything. I'm no programmer by any means but it may prove useful to someone else.
To anyone who IS a dev, paranoid android open sourced their holo notifications.. Would be great to merge that with our CM.
Edit:
Here's a GIT repo.

Yes we have permission. But there is newer source with bug fixes available. Look around and you will find it.
Does he have a git? I'm reinstalling Ubuntu tonight on my faster hard drive. Going from 10.04 to 12 as well.

He did not share his git.
Here is the latest source that you should probably work with since it is newer and has more bug fixes. There is a link to the git repo in the first post.

Don't forget to share any fixes you provide.
Thanks so much! I threw out the hard drive my Ubuntu build was on BC it was going out. Was wondering wth happened to my build lol. I'm currently making space on my 500gb HD for Ubuntu. Will be installed tonight and I will begin downloading source. I'm thinking I'm going with paranoid android. Any other suggestions?

Currently setting up my environment but Ubuntu is giving me hell about my dual display.... shows the 2nd screen but I can only occasionally move my mouse to it so I'm just using one screen for now. Installing drivers blah blah. From source it is
Edit .... these bases are based off the p760? I got paranoid loaded on Ubuntu but if these are based off the 760 I think I will just make my own device tree. Either way I should have a test build out next week, I'm headed out of town tomorrow.

I had a exp. build on my LG 2x, in cause of that I think it's possible.
You need just time and a build machine
It's pretty same as compiling AOSP or CM so only wasting some time is needed to fix problems during compile.
I'm recently wondering on AC100 distro - as far as I comprehend those are basically the same, except for tablet/netbook part??
I have no knowledges to compile and install it, for I was wondering if any of the community got, and then show us how to do it.

So, I'm sure I'm not the only person here that wouldn't mind seeing a build of Ubuntu Touch available for our devise. BUT, it would most likely have to be done through safestrap.
Would any dev be willing to work on this??
This would be awsome :good:
Idk if Ubuntu Touch could be done on Loki, but definitely not safestrap. I started porting it to the Note 2, which is a lot easier to work on then our phone, and it basically is based on a modified CM/AOSP tree & kernel.

I'm still working on it on the note 2 ut, I'm just learning. That phone has a fully unlocked boot loader on an exynos processor, so the kernel stuff is just simpler than on our Qualcomm Snapdragon's.
I just know that to run a totally different OS, even if it is still Linux based, requires heavily modified low level kernel code and safestrap unfortunately can't touch that.
