Again fashing way Flashtool JB in you device. NOT TRY REPAIR WITH USING PC COMPANION OR SUS can get hard bricking.
It has the su binary guys..Because some want superuser and some su simply download the app of your choice and you are done..
Thanks for the kernel, worked like and charm. Phone rooted and working.

Sure mate..
I followed your method, flashed the kernel, but nothing happens, their is no SuperUser or supersu app installed.
I downloaded the superuser app from play store and tried to get root access for X-plore file manager, but root is not accessible.

I'm thinking to install it using RecoverX as the key trigger is important when you do not have a rom running...

So just a heads up here, i managed to test the CWM, it works! Just that i think people might find it hard to go into recovery mode. Have your phone TURNED OFF. HOLD VOLUME UP + POWER BUTTON at the same time. Once a blue flash and the first vibration occurs, you can now immediately release the POWER BUTTON. But keep holding onto the VOLUME UP BUTTON. Once the Boot logo shows up followed by the 2nd vibration, you can now immediately release the VOLUME UP BUTTON. You'll go into CWM Mode
Ok, just a little report. I just had 2 FCs now after installing it yesterday. Not a big issue to me. I'm guessing i should just fix permissions.

Do at your own risk... But if u unlock ur bootloader means u will lost ur DRM key with Bravia Engine 2...
The SU binary and busybox seems to be installed incorrectly. There is no request for superuser access and many scripts have problems finding busybox. I have to flash a superuser zip and install busybox manually.
Thank you so much for this CWM! But i've few questions!!
I'm first gonna flash Extended Stock Kernel,Then my phone is rooted!!
Inorder to get CWM, i flash this kernel, does that mean, i will lose the essentials of the extended stock kernel (root+features)??

Just flash this kernel and there will be root and cwm. No need to flash other kernel. Only unlocked bootloader need.
After flashing install Superuser or SuperSU from market and update su binary.

The recovery you have is not a true recovery, it's a 2nd init. It lives on your system.img a real recovery lives in a recovery.img.

Correct, it relies on the system.img (/system) to work. For example, if you remove /system/bootstrap or busybox it won't work anymore. A true recovery does not need the system.img to operate.
The 2nd init cwm is a recovery, but one mistake and you will softbrick your system.

First, on your computer download the DooMKernel from here and the SuperSU package from here.
Save these files on desktop and transfer the SuperSU zip on your Xperia Z Ultra (first connect your smartphone with your PC via USB cable; when done, unplug the USB connection).
Unzip the DooMKernel package on your computer.
Now, connect your smartphone with your PC one more.
Navigate towards the .img folder (where you have unzipped the DooMKernel file).
From there open a command prompt window: press and hold Shift keyboard key while right clicking on any blank space.
In the cmd window type
Code:
adb reboot fastboot
or
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
in order to reach fastboot mode on your handset.
Now, reboot your Xperia Z Ultra into TWRP recovery (once more, you don’t have to previously install a custom recovery image on your phone) by typing into cmd :
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
Good; then from TWRP recovery load and install the SuperSU zip file and then do the “Swipe to confirm flashing” action in order to resume the root process.
When done, from main menu of recovery select “reboot system now”.
Do note that if you will get stuck into a boot loop, you need to go back to recovery from where you should select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.

let the kernel to flash on your device

You can use one of the many root programs and inject the towel root exploit.
I've owned, destroyed this phone about 5x I just recently got a new one about 2 weeks ago. So I've tried everything on the ultra. All he has to do is flash a stock ftf which doesn't require recovery.

Flash it how? "siri can u make this stock flare preroot flasher hasher on the precipice of the ftf foto kernel and dunk the phone in a 5 gallon bucket of crap?"
Dude like the above garble, its greek to him as is me. How do you flash a zip with no root and no recovery?
I just tried the official sony MM rom (downloaded the files and built the ftf), but I wanted to root it.
I tried to flash the twrp recovery (to later root it), but it doesn't boot to it, it just ignores it. Did I do anything wrong?
The only way I could get access to the recovery was to flash boot.img from a LP rom, but that uses the old kernel and I don't think it's a good idea.
Is there another way to root this rom?
Recovery is lacking
I successfully updated to MM 6.0.1 and gained root access (i unlocked my BL) however I can't find any recovery that I can use for this.

Upgrade from 7.0
Hi,
quick question:
I am on 7.0 with root and DRM fix comming from here: "[Guide] Nougat with DRM fix, root and TWRP* (SGP771)".
Can I simply flash kernel and TWRP as you described on top of these or do I have to restart with any TFT's on 7.11?
Thanks a lot and best regards
Hi guys, i need your help!
Flashed new tft .160 via Flashtool - check
Flash boot via ADB - check
Flash Twrp via ADB - check
Reboot into recovery - nope nope nope ...
No matter what or how i flash i simply cannot boot into recovery
Tried older Twrp versions, in ADB shell everything is ok, no error, .....
simply don´t know what to do anymore hmmmmm ....

If you're using SGP712 you need to flash the proper recovery for that device, the one in OP is for SGP771
This one is the correct one (also linked 3 posts above): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298956222
Well .. actually OP and your´s in 3rd post and here are all 3 the same
Like said tried these here, from androPlus thread, etc etc ...
Flash via fastboot is working but cannot enter recovery after flashing
Tried to access via Power button, volume button, adb command, ... i dont even have a led signal at power on

oh, didn't notice, although I'm pretty sure the one in OP was different
It's booting on my device, but the first time I tried it didn't. I think it booted when I accidentally flashed it on the boot partition instead of the recovery one maybe you can try that.
but before, try hot booting it with:
Code:
fastboot boot ~/Downloads/TWRP-3.1.1-lineageos-karin_windy-20170520.img
Hotboot endet in an Bootloop but flashing recovery to Boot helped! Many many Thanks
€dit: Ok my bad didnt work ....
Hotboot didnt work
Flashing recovery to boot did boot up Twrp - Wiped cache/dalvik, flashed SU, Tablet constanty reboot into TWRP instead of system
Flashed Kernel/Boot to Boot - Tab boots into system but no root
Tried to reboot into recovery - no luck
