I don't think so. My note 2 takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes to charge from like 4% to 100%. There's a reason its charger is 2A...

Mine never ever charged that fast, I had it from launch day till this past Monday.. it would always take all night.. would last me 24 hrs though so I didn't mind

Oh and to answer the question.. I haven't timed it yet but it went from 1% to 22% in only 30 minutes

Well certainly seems to be a thorough report and investigation. Guess the battery is crap
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA App
It will take 4-5 full recharge cycles to hit full capacity. The graph you show is fine. How much battery life were you expecting? 12-14 hours would seem about right.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
When i first got mine, my battery seemed to drop like 2% like every 5 minutes the phone on and I was just browsing forums.
I think it will get better once u break in the battery more.

I was hoping to hit 12-16 hours before a charge is needed. That's what id get on my inspire and captivate.

with that math you'd be getting around 16 hours with 4 or so hours of onscreen time. I don't see a problem at all with that battery life.
I miss my battery percentage icon
I used 40% of my battery in 7 hours of playing with my phone. So far I'm very pleased
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Remember if anyone's like me you can't put the phone down right now, using it like crazy! It will be better after a few charge cycles. Be patient folks. Give it a few days before starting to freak! Enjoy the new hardware already!
Are you guys charging fully before first use or taking out of box booting using and letting it drain? Does it matter never been able to get a good answer.

I do not think you will have a problem getting that once your battery is at full capacity.

Mine goes right out of the box and booted and I start playing. A charger or outlet is always handy by me so why wait for it to charge?
I am not going to be concerned with battery life at all... I'm currently coming from the HTC Vivid and comparing the two tests between the phones from Engadget, I'm happy...
HTV Vivid - "In our formal battery rundown test, the Vivid held its charge for a paltry five hours and ten minutes."
AT&T Note - "...with the phone managing eight hours and eight minutes on our standard rundown test in an HSPA+ area."
I've been using my Note heavily for about 11.5 hours today and still have 29% battery life left. I've been watching videos, playing a game or two, tracking the snow that is forecast for my area and my normal texts, email, twitter and Facebook. My Inspire wouldn't last this long with moderate use. I'm pleased with the Note's battery life, but I'm not in an LTE area if that matters much.
no *****in about battery life for at least a few days if not a week... it will not stabilize until the phone has been charged up and drained several times. case in point, i took it right out the box and started using it. started at about 50% battery life and was dead in an hour. charged it up last night and been using it for the last 6 hours pretty heavily and its still at 77%.
it will only get better, be patient my atrix was just as bad out of the box.
Do not expect the same gas mileage as civic from your lamborghini.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
hmmm...
after a full day i have about 13 to 20% battery life left..
You guys are judging way too quick. Let the battery settle in and then after a week you still get the same battery life then by all means complain away. When I say you guys I mean the OP and anyone that agrees with him

If i can pull 10 hrs I'll be happy. Wont get mine till Monday though. Just waiting patiently till i get back from camping then I will make sure to send Da-G some loot (HINT HINT) then root and patiently await the kick ass blue dragon. (You reading G?)
Please folks... send this Guy a donation. Even a buck helps.

You should get 24 hrs on normal use and 12 hrs heavy use.i have international for month now
I can easly make 28 hrs.just phone text and web.no movies or games.first few days dont charge unless almost dead.

For those with extended batteries...

How long does it take to fully charge your phone with say 30% battery left? I'm curious...

About 3-4 hours
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
Same as above and it lasts much longer of the charger. Well worth the extra bulk IMO
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
It only takes 2 - 2 1/2 hours tops from a completely dead battery.
Sent from my Rezound
Depends on the charger you use. If you use the charger that came with the rezound, only a couple of hours from dead battery.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
It also depends whether or not you're using your phone while on charge as well.

Off topic but does anyone know of a rezound battery that comes with more power but same size cell? I really don't want to use an extended battery cover.

In the accessories thread there is a topic on a mugen? extended. It fits in the stock cover. Not sure how good they are. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1545032

I have heard that the mugens do last longer but after 3-6
Months they degrade and end up like a stock battery. Not worth it in my opinion. But for extended, it takes about 4-5 hrs to charge mine but I only charge my phone via usb, not wall charger
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
mine can charge in a little under 3 hours with a dead batterry... but then again it is never dead...
its like it cant die. Running n64 emulators, streaming netflix, it still trucks through the day.
I bought the OEM Thunderbolt Extended Battery. Same results as above. 3 Hours to charge from dead. The bulk is also definitely worth it as stated above. After 26 hours I still had 10% battery life. I used bluetooth, wifi, played music, and games though out the day. (Pokemon, Shadow Gun). About 3 hours of screen on time. I do only have 3G enabled (CDMA Only). I'm in a 3G only area.
My phone takes about an hour to fully charge. From 30%, I'd say about 45 min.
Everybody else takes a few hours. I guess mine is just really fast.
Ok thanks for the replies. Thought maybe my battery was defective, but three hours seems about right. My tbolt extended took hour and half, so i thought there was a problem.

Battery charge too slow

Was just curious to know how long it takes you guys to charge your EVOs. I think my phone takes a ridiculous amount of time to charge and the battery seems to discharge at a faster rate than when I first got the phone. I'm am currently charging my phone from a complete drain. It has been 6 hours and it is still only 90% finished. That can't be correct?
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Depending on how many accounts you have and at what frequency they update determines your battery life dramatically even if being charged. I have 8 different accounts which the phone says is high but it still takes around 3 to 4ish hours to fully charge from zip. If you basically put your phone in airplane mode or just turn phone off it'll charge fully in what feels like an hour but really probably an hour and a half or so.

Wow. My phone charges incredibly fast. So fast that I never trust it. It'll go from 20%-80% in 40 min. But the last hump from 99%-100% takes a while.

I'm honestly not sure what to think. Next time ill try it with the phone off. But as it stands two hours have passed since I made this post but the battery light still isn't green though the battery does appear to be full according to its icon.

I'm in the same boat. It takes forever to charge. I remember I could be around 25& on the evo and would charge for probably 25 minutes before work and would be fully charged or almost fully charged.
Mine charges faster than my S2 and that was fast. I went from 45%to 95 in a hr.

Mine charges from 20%-90% in less than an hour, but from 90%-100% takes almost an hour. I assume its just the way it displays battery% or the amps drop down near the end.

Guys why does my battery die so fast I've had the phone for 1 WHOLE week what's going on here!

Is the drain from using LTE throughout the day? I did that one day at work and it was down to 10% in 6 hours. Same usage on WiFi the next day and the battery was down to 70%

Bad? You're getting 15h, I wish I'd get 15h, I get 14 if I don't use it at all, 12h in average.
I still love my OneX+, best device I've had, it is fast as hell, 64gb finally allowed me to retire my iPod, gorgeous screen, great look and feel, plus sense is quite useful for me, what else can I ask for? Better battery lifr? I guess it is only a tad better than in my previous OneX but I have accepted smartphones have this kind of battery life in general.

No the battery is fine I was just reading all the people who complain about there battery mine does just fine the same as my galaxy s3 did. Only difference I noticed is my s3 dropped 1% an hour and this phone drops 2%

just ensure you charged the phone via wall socket and you will see and increase in battery life.Moderate use takes me two days to drain the battery. Wifi and LTE or 3G drains a lot of battery

Mine got 100 % yesterday at 8pm, over night in flight mode, some mailing and 1 hour of music via bluetooth, now (18 hours later) it is on 90 % :good:
Nothing to complain about!
PS Sure I can drain the battery to zero in a few hours with full power use That's the same on notebooks: with moderate office use you get 6 to 8 hours, with full power it's empty in 1.5 hours...
Oh wow this battery is so bad!

Battery Charge/discharge Curve

Folks,
Attached is a graph of my Amaze's battery cycle. The discharge curve is for a normal to heavy use and charging curve. The right side shows charging straight to full using AC wall charger. The battery charges to about 70% pretty quickly, maybe within 1.5 hr but then as you see in the graph it takes another 2 hrs to go to 100%. Is this normal? I have a Galaxy Nexus with same age battery (2 yr old) running cyanogenmod 11, it's battery charges full in less than 2 hr and the charging curve is pretty much steep all the way to full, without slowing down for the last 30%. Any thoughts?
Cheers

Interesting thing, after waiting to get full charge at 80% if I reboot into recovery, it shows full battery. See the attached screen shot, after rebooting at 80% it has jumped to 100%.

The best way to charge is to pull the battery and then plug in. Test how long it takes to charge from there

Yes, and pulling the battery makes sure it's fully off. Some Roms enable fastboot by default so when you think you shut off your phone it's still on.
