Flash an official RUU for your device. All stock roms are in the amaze bible.

Flash a ruu from the same brand if it's a Asian version then you'll have to do some digging also most mobilicity users had problems aswell flashing stock ruu

The one I flashed was ota ics tmous I did it exactly how I was told to do word for word. I get stuck trying to clear the security warning thru adb. it shows up as no device found but when I run fastboot devices it come up

I think I just messed up. I was following the direction to put the original stock on the device as advised but when I locked the phone it stuck on the HBOOT / Bootloader screen.
How can I fix this??

Ok that worked... Oh yeah!! But when I attempt to flash a bamf it gets stuck on the loading screen...
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA
if you are looking to flash bamf, I think you have to root it first. Unless you are flashing stock rom, you must have your device root first.
Yes, it is rooted....

After you flash both the rom and the kernel (boot.img) flash that zip.

Yea the rooting tool won't work because they patched it. You have to go into amon ra and root it yourself

Noob question. Can you accept the ota with s-off or will it cause issues or possible brick? I haven't had my tbolt very long and it was already modified when I bought it.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
You can accept it, but then you will lose root.

Yea it has been disabled on the Rom I'm running, I was just curious if it would cause problems if I took the update. I'm still learning the ins and outs of rooting. But I understand what your saying, I've seen some time that the ota push was not disabled.

I believe it will fail at the bootloader stage when it encounters a non-stock recovery.
I'm running stock n all I did was flash stock recovery via boot loader then download n install the ota, then flash cwm recovery via bootloader then flash the su zip then boom rooted ota

Googling stock recovery did nothing for me. I loaded killa sense 3.7, flashed the ota enable zip, but no luck. Error. I guess that elusive stock recovery is needed.

Is your bootloader locked? Do you have a custom recovery installed? You must have a locked bootloader and not have flashed a custom recovery.. In other words bone stock

What version of TWRP are you currently on?
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE
First off, confirm exactly what ROM you installed - I mean the actual link to the ROM itself.
Secondly, install a custom HBOOT - the stock HBOOTs, even when "UNLOCKED" can be stingy about allowing system to be written to, especially with a stock boot image.
And thirdly, please confirm what version of TWRP you are using. If it's not the latest, I recommend this one (updated to allow flashing KitKat ROMs, if you're so inclined at a future time).
I was on 2.1.8. I updated to latest, which I thought I was. And everything flashed. Now says 3.17. . . Thank guys.
