Access application through laptop - Streak 5 Android Development

Hi everyone,
I have airdroid application and it occured to me what if i could access applications stored on our anroid phones through our laptop and i searched the forum for the similar post unfortunately none came to my notice.
Please advice me in whether there is any application through which we can access apps installed on the phone and use it..?
eg: if a msg comes on whats app we should be able to reply it by using that application from the laptop itself while our android device is connected using wifi, bluetooth or even the data cable..to the laptop.
Hope i have put the question in an appropriate manner of understanding.Any help would be much appeciated.
Regards,
Moid.

There are apps which mirror your phone via wi-fi or data cable but, TBH none works upto satisfactory level. The reason being low frame rate, smaller resolution and lack of touch control in applications where mouse doesn't work effectively.

Curious if this has been done (Phone as touch screen for pc)

I was wondering if anyone had thought about the idea to change your phone into essentially a second touch screen monitor for your computer. You could do it wirelessly, but I think a usb connection to charge the phone while you do it would be just as good, in some ways better.
One you could extend your desktop to essentially, and make it work like any other monitor, just with the touch input.
Its called Logmein or VNC .
Unless I am mistaken you need to carefully reread my post. I do *NOT* want to control my monitor through my phone. I want my phone to *BE* a monitor for my pc with touch input. Last I checked either of those programs only allowed me to control my pc through my phone, not act as a secondary display. If I am wrong feel free to inform me.
Logmein Ignition is close, but its still not what I want. The goal is to have the phone be nothing more then a monitor and HID for the computer its hooked up to.
i doubt its possible because if you haven't noticed on the back of your monitor are some wires, ( if your using laptop its inside ) those are what your CPU shows to the monitor, and those cannot be connected to a phone, its just not possible.
Resolution wouldn't work its wayyyyyyy to small.
it might be possible, but i highly doubt it.
Totally possible through USB, the point is not to have a huge display but a minidisplay.
USB Monitor example.

No offence, but typical of this forum apparently. Instead of throwing out FUD please answer if you have the knowledge of have read the actual post thoroughly. Thank you .
It could theoretically be done through Linux. The problem would be the resolution conversion. And that, would have to be done from the computer side~~~ convert size/resolution/format~then send. The problem would getting it to stream without delay or lag. Normal text would be probably ok but video, I think it would get delayed so looking at the CRT and the phone you would experience delay and speed differential.
I do not know an app that does that, but I my brother wrote an executable for Sun that did this. So, it can be done.... Sorry I am not much help.....
Perhaps I am not being clear, or people are just not used to the way multiple monitor systems work under windows. Not sure which so I will try to clarify what I am talking about and provide a couple examples.
I want to know if anyone has developed or is interested in developing a way to have an android device be used as a secondary monitor, with touch input, for your PC(preferably windows PC).
What do I mean by secondary monitor?
An independent display that is able to use its native resolution, and not be a duplicate of your monitor.
Examples currently available:
Here is a website that has many different kind of usb monitors.
http://www.mimomonitors.com/
Final note:
The goal is to have a small display that can be taken advantage of when you want to use it, while charging your phone. Given androids ability to multi-task you would not lose access to the phone while doing this.
Application purposes:
Display chat output, music, ventrillo, and web pages while in a game or other landscape intensive task on your computer.
Why?
Our phones sit beside us while we are on the computer and for the most part we don't utilize them while they are there. Why not make them usefull while they charge? People have been purchasing multiple displays or mini-displays for many years now, and I think it would be awesome if we could use our phones for that purpose without having to go out and buy a new device.
Yeah I would love a feature like this.

[Q] NFC on the DNA

I'm new to using NFC and discovered that apparantly there are issues with transfering data between different platforms (android to windows) and sometimes even between different versions of Android. Has anyone come up with a way to transfer files between different platforms or does anyone have any tips and tricks to make the best use of NFC? I know NFC tags are probably the easiest answer, does anyone know of the best tags or where to buy them? Thanks!

Can you please explain what you mean by issues with transferring data? Like what kind of data? NFC is for like sending contacts to another phone by tapping them together. NFC tags are pretty cool you can program them to do all sorts of thing from enabling WIFI when you get home or disabling it when you leave. NFC isnt for sending files back and forth from phone to phone... as far as im concerned you cant use it from phone to PC.
Sorry not to be clear on that. I'm referring to transferring data such as pictures and videos between android and Windows phone 8. I've also read that some different droid phones have issues doing this as well.

I'm also curious about NFC. I've never used it before and don't see any kind of app or settings regarding NFC in the menus. How does this stuff work?
It's actually easier to use than I thought. All i did was browse to a contact or webpage and then touch another NFC phone. Once you make contact you'll see your screen change at the top to say "touch to beam" just simply tap the screen to send. That assumes that you have NFC turned on in Settings > More. Also be sure to turn on the Check box for "android beam". My problem was that I thought we could transfer pictures and video from android to windows phone but apparently we can't do that yet, only android to android for that stuff.

Ah, the Settings > More part is where I'd missed it. Thanks!
Yea its really simple android makes it super easy and all you gotta do is turn it on. Currently not too much is supported by it because it is a newer technology give it another year and more stuff will be using it

[Q] How to use Desktop/Laptop to send/receive Whatsapp messages?

I've been looking high and low for something that can achieve what is mentioned here, but to no avail. I would like the ability to send/receive messages directly from my Desktop without having to touch my phone (something similar to AirDroid, though unfortunately it only supports SMS).
AirDroid claimed they were able to make it work, though it requires root and other permissions that may infringe privacy rights. this leads me to believe that a similar software should exist.
any recommendations? please don't suggest emulators/BlueStacks - as the experience is suboptimal, and/or one would be required to have a separate phone number or sign out from the phone service in order to use it exclusively on the desktop.
Thanks in advance for your help!
I know you said not to mention emulators but you can use a emulator and change the IMEI and MAC Address to the same ones on your phone, then download whatsapp and you will then be able to use whatsapp on both, emulator & phone at the same time.

I was going to say Bluestacks, but you said no emulators. And when you mentioned AirDroid it reminded me of something else, TeamViewer. I use TeamViewer to control my phone from the PC and vice versa (yes you can, in case you didn't know). But you need to install the main TeamViewer app, then the TeamViewer QuickSupport app, then the QS Addon for your specific device. Then you can control your phone from the PC and use WhatsApp.

I actually downloaded it to both and kept switching between them, so can you please tell me how do you change the IMEI and MAC Address on Bluestacks?

I don't really know how to change it on bluestacks but I know that 2 devices with same MAC Address can receive messages, and if they were same IMEI too they both will be able to send messages on whatsapp.

the reason why I mentioned no emulators (and similarly, no VNC-like service.. even teamviewer falls under the same category) is that the performance is pretty bad, regardless of how high end your desktop specifications or network connection is (i.e. it can never reach something like 50fps smoothness).
preferably a native app built for this very purpose - welcoming more suggestions!
thanks!
Fantastic idea
I am currently not sure if this is possible due to constants of the What's app service linking to phone numbers.
However, if there was a tool that can apply iMessage like functionality to What's App I would definitely download it.

Arjun

it is 100% possible because AirDroid has achieved that before, but didn't allow it due to security vulnerabilities.
anyone got a suggestion please?

[Q] Remote access app

Hi.
I'm new here, so apologies in advance if i ask a question that was handled in a previous thread.
I'm looking for a decent app that will allow me to control an android device from a pc. I have a tablet that is being used as a kiosk device and i would like to connect remotely and check the status of apps, run scripts, generally just troubleshoot issues that might pop up from time to time. I would like screen sharing also, that would make things a lot easier. I've tried webkey, teamviewer, airdroid but none of them give me the kind of functionality I need
At the moment I'm using a Nexus 7, but I'd like the app to work on any device. In future we might start using generic android devices, nothing brand-specific.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated

Hey,
once there was ShareKM the dev kinda dropped the projekt. I found some Guides for it because the old version stopped working.
Here is the original thread ShareKM on XDA
If you read it a bit they start to talk about the workarounds.
Hope that helps you I'm also very interested in this.
i found app that will help you to remotely control your tablet

Thanks. But as far as I can see, this only works if the pc and android device are on the same network. My kiosk devices are hundreds of kilometers away, so I need something that works over the internet

FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY
You can download droidjack on your pc and then create an apk using droidjack and install it on your target phone
Possibilities with droidjack are limitless and insane
But remember use it only for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES if you don't want to get behind bars.
Regards,
milkyway3
Thanks, but as I can see it is paid.
With AirDroid I could connect remotely and control my device
