i have a Boxchip A13 generic tablet but i can't find any way to root it.
i've searched and found a guide to root all allwinner A13 generic SoC http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1929822
but on my device although USB debugging is selected and my ADB detects my LG Optimus 4x
no device is detected when i connects my Generic A13 tab
interestingly i can't seems to find anyway to enter stock recovery either. On my device there's a orientation slider (autorotate/portrait), power, Vol +/-, home key).
My device doesn't come with driver CD nor proper OEM driver on the web.
are there gonna be anyway to root my tablet?

I have a noname chinese made Rockchip 2918 based tablet PC that I am trying to root so I can use some tools to increase performance/etc.
I have ADB and the Android SDK installed.
I have the most recent Rockchip drivers installed.
I have Development Mode turned on on the tablet.
When I plug the device into USB, nothing happens other then the windows notification sound to let me know something was plugged in. No "searching for drivers" nothing. When I go to ADB and do a "ADB Shell" command, it says device not found.
If I boot the tablet into Recovery mode, connect USB, and repeat the above procedure, I get the same result.
Is there a seperate USB Recovery mode I need to get into? I read about this on other RK2918 based tablets and I have tried all the methods to no avail. Volume up and Power is the only combination that does something, and that just takes me into normal recovery mode.
Just a side note, If I connect my HTC Evo 4G LTE and try the shell command, it finds it instantly.
Any ideas on what I am missing here?

Go to my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2362844 use this tool to root the device then use adb wifi. Is the only method to have adb on those rockchip devices without disassambling them. Do not worry the CWM is for all RK2918 devices.
I gather that to do this I need to use a Windows-based RK3188 root tool. The one I have uses a batch file called TPSparkyRoot. The first time I ran this it detected the tablet, but it failed to reboot the tablet. I rebooted manually but since then the tool hasn't been able to detect the tablet. Device Manager doesn't show the tablet as installed until I click "Switch" in RKBatchTool. Doing this puts the tablet into a mode where I can't use it, and it doesn't seem to be the right mode for this RK3188 root tool to work.
I would guess that to use the RK3188 root tool I need the driver for the tablet in the standard mode, whatever that is, rather than for the switched mode. I do not have this driver, and Windows can't find it automatically.
Any takers?
Cheers
EDIT: What I need is PiPo RK3188 ADB drivers for Windows 7 x64
Hey guys,
Recently I ordered the Allwinner A13 (Q88) from DealExtreme. I wanted to flash a custom ROM onto it, but following all the guides I still can't manage to get it. First of all, I noticed that the firmware it came is 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, as opposed to 4.1 as they had written on the site. Anyways, I managed to get the storage drivers (computer can see the device and I can put files onto it), but I'm not sure about ADB, because the computer says nothing when I connect it in debug mode and it just makes a noise that a USB device is connected. I tried using LiveSuit to flash it, and after watching some guides that tell you to hold down the volume + key and press the power button 6 times, I found out it only works when I hold down the power button, and even when I do that it says that the USB device is not regognized (error 43). I have Windows 8.1, but I tried to do the same thing on my Vista laptop, and after I do that there, it connects and disconnects, and says that the device was unplugged. I wanted to know, how can I flash it? Is it a driver problem or the tablet is just faulty in that matter? I tried using Uberizer and that doesn't find my device as well. I would really be thankful if someone could help me out, because I want to install a custom ROM. Thanks!
Have you tried the Tech Know forums : http://www.techknow.me/forum/index.php?board=130.0 ? They are quite resourceful when it comes to cheap tablets or devices.
I own the TV BOX TRANSPEED_H616 (Allwinner H616, Arm Mali-G31 MP2, Android 10, 4/64 GB).
I would like to root but can't. I can't even connect the device to the PC.
When I connect it with the USB-OTG cable, in the device manager it shows "USB device unknown (device descriptor request failed)" and I cannot find the drivers. Can someone help me?
Thank you
i have same problem.
After several attempts I managed to enter recovery mode.
I would like to root the device now but I don't know how to do it.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you
Since no one can help me, I want to try to summarize everything I understand using this device. The first thing to do is to enable the developer option and then check USB DEBUG and USB0. At this point, by connecting the USB cable to the OTG input, the device is recognized by the PC as MPT. By opening the Phoenixsuite or Powershell application from the SDK folder you can send commands to the device, you can access the custom recovery and nothing more. Unfortunately, the bootloader cannot be unlocked, and the firmware cannot be changed either through the PC or even with SD. When entering Bootloader mode the PC loses connection with the device because it changes to an unknown device without drivers. Also with Powershell if you want to unlock the bootloader this is not possible because when you send the command "./fastboot flashing unlock" it returns the message "Failed". By inserting the SD card with the firmware and starting the device with a stick inserted in the AV input and the electrical AC connector, a red indicator lights up on the display and the flashing does not start. Clearly in these conditions it is impossible to think about rooting the device. I hope that in the light of what has been said, someone can give me some research ideas or useful advice. Finally I apologize for my English (from Google)
Hello, recently I bought a transpeed X88 pro s (from transpeed official) , h616, 4gb+128gb with android 10.
But it is a fake, it's a board with hacked firmware (dispute is open) , it only have 64gb ( chip Samsung Klmcg2ketm), it warm so much (more than 90°C) with faults on gpu (changing colors, slowly,...), only way to work is with open box or fan.
Anyway, I'm in the way to root and change firmware too.
It's rooted by default, with supersu 1.82 work well and permit restart to bootloader (with reset button was impossible).
I will inform about progress.
Hi everyone!
I have an Onda V701s tablet that runs on the Allwinner A31s SOC. Specifications of this tablet can be found here: https://www.imei.info/phonedatabase/onda-v701s/
While trying to root the tablet with ADB commands, I bricked the device. When powering on the device, it is stuck on the Onda boot logo. This boot logo shows the brand logo with the text "SINCE 1989" underneath it. The device does not boot any further, no matter how long I wait.
I've tried to connect the tablet to my Windows 11 (64-bit) laptop in a special download mode using the following steps:
Power off the tablet
Press and hold volume button
Connect USB cable from the tablet to the laptop
Press the power button up to 10 times until the tablet is recognized by the laptop
These steps indeed result in a different connection between my laptop and the tablet, but I am still unable to flash the stock firmware. To do this, I've tried LiveSuit and PhoenixSuit, but both pieces of software do not recognize the tablet (no device connected).
Does anyone here have experience with flashing bricked Allwinner chipset devices?
