Hey everyone,
I recently took my beloved Amaze for a swim in the Atlantic Ocean, and it no longer works. (duh, lol) I have some pictures saved on the internal memory of the phone that I would love to get back, by any means necessary. I know that on the HTC HD7, the internal memory was an actual micro SD card inside the phone. Would that be the case for the Amaze? And if not, are there any other ways that you guys can think of to access the data? Thanks for any and all suggestions you have.
Some info:
The phone won't connect to the computer via USB, nor will the orange charging light come on if power is applied. Thanks again.
You have but very few chances to get your pictures back. Even if you manage to power the phone, your internal memory could have been automatically formatted because the circuits were closed. Check this thread.
I could find no service manual on the Net, but I have a picture of my mother board, maybe someone will help you to localize the internal memory on it.

Hey guys!
I've recently been running CM 10-10.1 and I've always had the problem, that the SD card isn't recognized. Now I've reverted back to Android Revo. HD and I've still got the same problem, the SD card was tested in several other devices and it worked there - It's the same 16GB SD that came with my device (Special offer at the German Telekom, whilst the device was still new).
I've tried several things, like formatting it on other Android devices, in Ubuntu, in Windows and even on a Mac - Nothing will work.
I just ran a logcat and copied as much as I could (I never really do this, so I'm not entirely sure how to directly write this to a file from the Power Shell.

I hope that's enough info, because I'm at the end with my Latin :S
And yes, I'm 1mio% positive that the SD card is plugged in
Thanks in advance!

After three years of reliable service, my Rezound is now hard-bricked. My extended battery case tends to shift around a bit as the battery heats up (the locking tabs are worn down) and the phone lost power DURING EMMC formatting, due to the cover popping off enough for the battery to come disconnected. After putting the battery back in place, no power, no charge LED, no USB connect sound in Windows, no ADB or Fastboot response.... JUST DEAD.
I was preparing this phone to give to a friend since I just got a One M8, but I doubt he wants a brick. I looked online for unbrick services, and it seems that a $50+shipping JTAG/RIFF unbrick is just not cost effective (the phone goes for $60-80 on Swappa).
Can anyone here find it in their heart to unbrick this thing at a VERY low price so I can give it to a cash-strapped friend? If not, into the lake with it! :crying: :crying:

Recently my photoapp Quickpic deleted by itself my Camera FV-5 videomap, a map which contain alot of videos on my young kids
Recoveryprograms like Recuva dosen't recognize my phone(an unrooted Oneplus One) because it uses MTP instead of USB mass storage.
There are recovery programs for android that works, but the phone need to be rooted to make it work and the problem with my phone is in order to get it rooted I need to wipe the whole phone which will make it almost impossible to get the deleted files back
A memeber on Oneplus One's website told me that his phone was recognize as a cd-unit on his pc(see on the picture below) and he can access the files on it. He dosnt know why and how the pc recognize it as a cd-unit but If someone here know how to I would really appreciate to learn how to make my pc to do that.
I post this in this forum because no one could help me in Oneplus One section and it is a bigger chance to get more replys in this forum section. Hope it is ok

Thread move to other section
Hi all ! Mods please move the thread if its wrong place, excuse my inexperience
I have an old phone made in 2014 , LG-P705 . Recently i have realized i had much much important files in it .
Whatever.. The problem is the phone's screen was cracked completely tried to fix it , bought a screen from chinese market then i gave up on it in 2014.
So we have a phone that LCD screen won't work at all. But the motherboard has not taken any damage. I charged the phone and it is alive. It vibrates when i turn it on and off .
i want to boot this phone and take the important files out. Is there any possible ways that we could start it guys ?
I have some ideas but not enough knowledge nor i am geeky about this stuffs. I think we could do a kind of a "mirror" between the Computer and the phone so that we will be able to see the files from the computer. Will it work ? Will we be able to see the files in it from the pc without using the screen ?
I am open to ideas. I need some geeks around here
.

Not sure if I am posting in right place. If I am not, I apologize.
I have a S9+. I was using the camera app called Camera MX. I took some pics a week or so ago, then I took some this morning. When I go into the gallery of the camera app (the part where it shows the little thumbnail of the pics), the pics that I took a week ago have a little SD card icon in the corner of the thumbnail. And if I select one of those and try to delete it, I get a pop up screen.
I posted a screenshot of the pop up...
**If u cant see pic, the pop up says
FAILED TO DELETE FILES: these files can not be deleted due to restricted SD card access.**
So what does it mean? How can I fix it??
I dont think I have any kind of restrictions on my SD card. I have no clue.
Sorry if confusing.
I appreciate all the help.

Use Samsung Gallery instead, seems the app gallery doesn't have permissions to delete.
