When you choose wallpaper go to gallery not regina theme and you can choose
This is a awesome launcher and has one of the best looking weather widgets I've seen. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557091
Worth looking into. What version did you download?
Either of the ones that say qHD works. I tried both and they are exactly the same.
I just loaded this on my MO PHO & am quite impressed w/the smoothness of the scrolling on the desktop. I would like a vertical scrolling app drawer, but, this will be a non-issue once I get the desktop all set up.
Great find! This works great! Very nice.

I modified the app drawer icon for mine to the xperia icon from the AnaKonda rom on the epic 4g touch. Ill upload it in case any one wants to use it. This one just move it to system/apps and set permissions then reboot.
Last picture didn't work.
It looks nice, but browsing the instructions I see a reference to ClockworkMod Recovery. It doesn't seem to apply to me since the instructions say, for the condition that applies to me, to skip that step. I'm not rooted and I don't have CWM, straight stock 2.3.5 Electrify. Can I use this? I'm quite happy with GO Launcher EX, but I like to try new things. I even tried ssLauncher (for about 10 seconds, haha -- not my thing but I did give it a shot).
Just extract it on your desktop,or with a file manager on your device.Install them like you would any other normal apk. I like the folders, they're like the ones in GO,and the transition from drawer to home, and vise versa is super smooth.no custom icons,or any of the other features youre accustomed to in GO though.

From any homescreen: Menu, Settings, Applications, then tick "Unknown sources". If it's ticked, I don't know what to tell ya. It worked fine for me.
This launcher is a bit light on features. You can set the number of home screens, but that's about it. Dragging icons has kind of a neat effect like the icon is wobbly, and the trashcan animation when you delete something is similarly nice, but this launcher is basically crap. It's like a stock launcher. Which I suppose it is/that's the point, but it's still worth noting.
Oh, and it has app drawer sorting, which I haven't seen before, but everything other than alphabetical is random and doesn't do what it says.
And the widgets cannot seem to be used with other launchers. So there is that. Shame about that, widgets tied to a specific launcher. Sense does this as well. Is there really no fix for it? To be able to use widgets tied to one launcher, in any launcher?
Ok, so I know this is a hugely personal thing, but, will you keep Touchwiz or use a custom launcher?
Personally, I don't like the look of Touchwiz at all. With that in mind one of the great ICS launchers (Nova and Apex) should seem like an easy decision!?
The thing is I am not sure how many of the new features you may lose out on by giving up on Touchwiz... will features like SmartAlert and SmartStay still work?

I as well will be changing the launcher. Yes, your extra Touchwiz like features will remain (ie SmartStay, SmartAlert, and the redesigned apps such messaging and the settings and the drop down notification shade) as those are baked into the firmware. The only you thing you might (and probably WILL) be losing are your Touchwiz widgets and from past experience with them that's not a deal breaker at all.
I will say one thing as someone who's deciding between the HOX and the SGSIII that I'm a bit disappointed that Touchwiz hasn't matured quite the same way that Sense has. Sense just plain looks nicer and you can clearly see the ICS undertones. I feel like ICS has been buried beneath Touchwiz. And I don't like that :-(

I always use Go Launcher EX on any of my phones
In all honesty I'll either stick with touchwiz or use spb shell 3d which I already have on my tablet.

Depends on if it finally able to sort apps by alphabetical order.

+1000 GoEx on all our devices.
Nova launcher ftw

I've used various launchers but nothing covers up Touch wiz completely, which is why I use custom roms.

So what elements of touchwiz remain after changing launcher?

none. unless he means the theme itself.
I used a custom launcher on my S2. However looking at Touchwiz on the S3, I quite like it. It looks alot nicer.
I`ll probably keep it until I want more options and theming.

I think that's exactly it. I am judging it before I have had time with it. My new approach will be to keep it until I don't like it!
Depends on two factors:
1. How good the tw widgets are (some of them are good!)
2. Whether I need more ram (tw is a memory hog), and whether tw is butter smooth (I'm guessing this iteration is!).

i never put a custom gb rom on my gs2, but i have put the att leak and now aokp on it. i have less memory now than i did with stock att plus tw. my experiences may very well vary from others.

Likewise. TW will be the very first thing I change when setting up my phone and will be replaced with Go Launcher EX lol
If the phone shows zero signs of lag - I will likely keep the stock launcher. Just rooted to ditch bloat apps.
touch wiz launcher is just a part of all the software customizations packed. if you replace the laucher you will still have the rest of touch wiz package like music player, radio etc etc

At last someone who knows what they are on about!
@all.......Touchwiz is the whole ui interface, not just the launcher, and it sucks if you have ever been on a CM ROM

TouchWiz looks awful! All the apps samsung made and skinned look dated, clunky and hard to use. They use bad colors. Is there any way to change this?

I agree! thats why I like to heavily theme my phone with nova launcher, xposed framework, and I also have a custom rom installed. Use replacement apps like the ios7 themed espier apps if you want. There are also a stock camera apk somewhere along with a stock gallery. Use icon packs too. Basically, use replacement apps that are 10x better.
Leave a thanks if I helped!
Since UX4 is an older version, do we lose any app/widget functionality by installing it over UX5 ?

Not that i have seen, i've installed it and had a quick look through it. I use Nova launcher though, gives me far superior control of what i like to be able to do with a launcher. As far as i could see it just gives you your old style LG launcher with the same abilities as the default UX5 launcher.
Yeah...Nova is by far the best option.
I also haven't noticed any settings differences. But yeah, try Nova. You definitely won't regret it!

Cheers for the reply.
I am really not liking the ''All white ui'' not only does it drain the battery twice as fast but it also give me headache. I hope there is a way to change it without root because i know i can easily change it on my G3 with Tweakbox or any custom theme.

Zero. Used it for years. Enables resizing of widgets, backup of your configuration...just all around flawless and awesome. Should be the Android stock launcher!

You lose LG specific widgets like weather, smart hub etc, along with weather effects on lockscreen. These are the main ones i know of but maybe there are more.

Wrong... I still have my weather effects on the lockscreen. And as far as the white draining the battery faster...that applies to Amoled displays. I don't use smart hub and Nova has a perfectly good weather/clock widget. As much as the Lg launcher has nice features i am happy living with the same options on Nova...and my lockscreen weather effects [emoji6]
