Not that i have seen, i've installed it and had a quick look through it. I use Nova launcher though, gives me far superior control of what i like to be able to do with a launcher. As far as i could see it just gives you your old style LG launcher with the same abilities as the default UX5 launcher.
Yeah...Nova is by far the best option.
I also haven't noticed any settings differences. But yeah, try Nova. You definitely won't regret it!

Cheers for the reply.
I am really not liking the ''All white ui'' not only does it drain the battery twice as fast but it also give me headache. I hope there is a way to change it without root because i know i can easily change it on my G3 with Tweakbox or any custom theme.

Zero. Used it for years. Enables resizing of widgets, backup of your configuration...just all around flawless and awesome. Should be the Android stock launcher!

You lose LG specific widgets like weather, smart hub etc, along with weather effects on lockscreen. These are the main ones i know of but maybe there are more.

Wrong... I still have my weather effects on the lockscreen. And as far as the white draining the battery faster...that applies to Amoled displays. I don't use smart hub and Nova has a perfectly good weather/clock widget. As much as the Lg launcher has nice features i am happy living with the same options on Nova...and my lockscreen weather effects [emoji6]

Ok, so I know this is a hugely personal thing, but, will you keep Touchwiz or use a custom launcher?
Personally, I don't like the look of Touchwiz at all. With that in mind one of the great ICS launchers (Nova and Apex) should seem like an easy decision!?
The thing is I am not sure how many of the new features you may lose out on by giving up on Touchwiz... will features like SmartAlert and SmartStay still work?

I as well will be changing the launcher. Yes, your extra Touchwiz like features will remain (ie SmartStay, SmartAlert, and the redesigned apps such messaging and the settings and the drop down notification shade) as those are baked into the firmware. The only you thing you might (and probably WILL) be losing are your Touchwiz widgets and from past experience with them that's not a deal breaker at all.
I will say one thing as someone who's deciding between the HOX and the SGSIII that I'm a bit disappointed that Touchwiz hasn't matured quite the same way that Sense has. Sense just plain looks nicer and you can clearly see the ICS undertones. I feel like ICS has been buried beneath Touchwiz. And I don't like that :-(

In all honesty I'll either stick with touchwiz or use spb shell 3d which I already have on my tablet.

none. unless he means the theme itself.
I used a custom launcher on my S2. However looking at Touchwiz on the S3, I quite like it. It looks alot nicer.
I`ll probably keep it until I want more options and theming.

I think that's exactly it. I am judging it before I have had time with it. My new approach will be to keep it until I don't like it!
Depends on two factors:
1. How good the tw widgets are (some of them are good!)
2. Whether I need more ram (tw is a memory hog), and whether tw is butter smooth (I'm guessing this iteration is!).

i never put a custom gb rom on my gs2, but i have put the att leak and now aokp on it. i have less memory now than i did with stock att plus tw. my experiences may very well vary from others.

Likewise. TW will be the very first thing I change when setting up my phone and will be replaced with Go Launcher EX lol
If the phone shows zero signs of lag - I will likely keep the stock launcher. Just rooted to ditch bloat apps.
touch wiz launcher is just a part of all the software customizations packed. if you replace the laucher you will still have the rest of touch wiz package like music player, radio etc etc

I'm using PA 5.1 and I really appreciate the option to change dpi settings so the screen can take much more content now.
However the icons remain with the same sizes and are looking kind of blurry now. So if there would be a icon resize option as in the Launcher+ app, that would be a good feature to complete the dpi resize option.

Thanks, that of course is one option I am using currently. However I think it would be a good improvement to the standard launcher as well.
What needs to be done to make it an official wish for the standard launcher in PA? Do I need to post something somewhere?
It's about a 99.9999999% chance that it will not happen. We have zero plans to do anything with the launcher. It's just not worth our time and there are so many better options for a launcher out there.
When most of the users install their own launcher immediately after flashing it makes messing with a paranoid launcher a waste.

Ugly fix to working in nougat. It may crashes a lot in the first. But seems it can work in the last. Try at your own risk.
//updated in 2017-1-5
Now it supports customize dock and desktop column size
//updated in 2017-1-5
App renaming is now supported
//update in 2017-1-3
Per app icon set is supported
//updated in 2016-12-29
It's been renamed to Pixel Settings cause it supports icon pack now. There might be problems here and there so just try it out. I'm gonna keep working.
If there is any problem email me [email protected] or post reply.

Which version of pixel launcher you are using, I am using android 6.0 and pixel launcher 7.1.1-3359438. The dock is always there...
By shortcuts, he wanted to say the new 7.1 shortcuts on long press. Use Nova launcher, it has the ability to set the transparency and shortcuts works

Working with Pixel launcher. Please add this to Google Now launcher. The Pixel launcher annoying is the lack of choice of main screen. Better Google Now.

Yes, Nova has this feature - - which is great for friends with fumble fingers.
Why keep stock launcher when Nova has that, and more, like icon packs, shadows under icons, different transitions, landscape movement across screens...
I can see keeping stock firmware instead of custom ROM, but keeping stock launcher? Come on, don't be silly.

I just want to keep it things simple as possible and fast. But your prolly right will try the launcher again.
EDIT: I remember why I couldn't switch. I can't use LG widgets with Nova launcher. So I'm trading one thing for another. I can live without desktop lock for now.

Hi folks,
Bored of stock Xperia launcher?
Here's the best alternative, Lawnchair.
Google play version is outdated but you'll find latest update here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/delet...627-ci-q-merge-android-apk-download/download/
You will need Lawnfeed to enable Google left panel: https://lawnchair.app/lawnfeed/?ref=lawnchair
Enjoy
I like the way that Lawnchair Launcher looks overall, but I do not like that I can not hide the dock. I prefer having a full screen look where possible.
I like it but I don't like the clock, I wish you could get rid of that and use your own..

I went into the Dock settings and I saw nothing that said "Hide Dock".
I have Nova Launcher now and I can Peek a Boo the dock with a swipe gesture so that it is not always present and disappears when not needed.
That is what I am looking for here. Am I missing something here?
Hey great, thanks for pointing that out...have a look at what I've done...if Lawnchair 2 did a clock like that I would be happy...or if you could mod the clock, colour it, resize it, change the padding around it, and the icons for the weather....so I could make it look like that..
Either way, it looks a million times better than the Xperia launcher so thanks for the advice...
Happy to be able to create folders in the app drawer.
Anybody knows how to get rid of the white line below the dock?

Via adb, you could try:
wm overscan 0,0,0,-30
And to revert:
wm overscan 0,0,0,0
Bear in mind that this simply moves the nav bar below the bezel, some full screen apps react differently to this. Good luck.
I also like the Lawnchair Launcher a lot, but it cannot work with gestures navigation without quickswitch magisk moudle, which is pity like all other launchers
