Sense tv - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Anyone run into this problem running sense tv? Completely stock at&t

I've seen this when using an iffy internet connection. The screen shot shows you on the EDGE network, so I'd imagine that's the issue. Connect to a solid wifi network and see if that fixes the problem.

Ah! So you are... so you are. Then you, like me, may be looking for a new internet provider soon. Or perhaps the wifi you're on is having issues.
During my testing so far, I have only seen this on my (somewhat shoddy) wifi connection, and not on the much better LTE connection. That said, it also could be the HTC server is experiencing difficulties.
Assuming the issue is intermittent, it is almost certainly a problem with the network or the service, not your phone, and there's nothing much you can do about it on the phone itself.

unreliable tethering

my tethering seems very unreliable. im using the latest wifi tether apk but thats irelevant as i have used many versions but the problems persist. allow me to explain, im in no way new to android nor tethering. i have followed all the steps to get 4g tethering speeds ( toggle data off, disable 4g re enable and so on) the thing is i cant get a stable connection from my laptop or my xoom for more than 20 mins. the connection either goes idle or the phone just restarts or i simply get disconnected from it. im just wondering whether it' s just me or whether this a common problem among photon users. many thanks and great forum.

I believe the 4G on your phone becomes idle. Just a guess.
I have heard this happens to other Photon users as well. Not sure what the cause of it is or the fix. I'm going to try some things out when I get time and see what mine does. I've never tried to tether for that long of time before. Will post back if I find out anything new.
**I can only test 3G. No 4G in my area.
Are you rooted or using a rom?
**Ignore this (my) post...had something but changed my mind***
thanks. yes rooted & stock

i can torrent nd get bout 10+ mbps download running through tether for 3 hours no problem. could even get on gears of war on my xbox while tethering no lag no problem
favorite tethering app- open garden tethering (easy and you can lower the transmit power for huge battery life increase, i keep mine on the lowest available) but wifi tether if i need specific settings

Hi this worked for me. I'm stock and experienced connection issues with my wifi...sitting 2 feet from the router!!! Never had any problems connecting anything via wifi b4.
Go to settings>>wifi>>menu>>advanced. in the advanced section there is a radio button to enable Best Wi-Fi performance. Once activated I had no more connection problems.
Hope this helps.
Not sure if this might help but I changed WiFi to 2.4 GHz and like above best WiFi per. So far good

I did this and it worked for me briefly but then reverted to "authenticating" and then telling me it is the wrong access key for the network. I don't understand why it's doing this but at least for me it seems to be a 1.22 based problem as everything I've run with the prior firmware has been fine....

Your problem is different. Mine was dropping WiFi signal and then self reconnecting. Not anymore though. Your problem I have not came across. Have u tired running the ruu and reset your router?

I've reset the router multiple time and even gave my EVO a static ip to see if that would work. I guess I'll ruu and see if that will help. It's weird though.

Wifi issue with Evo LTE

I have encountered a rather odd issue and am at a loss.
My download rate is atrocious (approx. 250–300 kbits) but my upload speed is about 5 mbits. I have isolated it to my EVO which I just activated and started using on my Wifi. Obviously the bandwidth is there based on the upload but no matter what I try; resetting the modem and router, isn't working.
Stock evo lte on most recent firmware.
Any help you have to offer is greatly appreciated.

Have you checked your download speed with another device, just to make sure it's your phone and not something else, like the router/network?
Sent using my EVO LTE and a magic wand
Yes. Both my lappy and tv are chugging along nicely via Wifi

menu/settings
click WI-FI
click Menu then advanced
click WI-FI frequency band
check
2.4Ghz only
try that. It might be trying to bounce between 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz
Still crap speeds. Ugh. May be my router and phone just aren't meant to be friends.

Changed my router from auto to G only.. Finally getting the 15Mbits per second I'm paying for.
It would appear to be a software issue, hopefully one of the many that is fixed if we ever get JB.
Thanks to all those who provided feedback on this matter

Seems to have happened to a few people with Evo LTEs.

I also would suggest to do a proper Network reboot but most people are able to fix this problem by turning off the crappy connections optimizer and then go into wifi advanced settings and turn off DLNA.
If this has helped you please hit the thanks button

ICS OTA WiFi Issues

Stock phone. I downloaded the ota ics yesterday. I have been having serious wifi connectivity issues that I never had before. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I've had no Wifi issues so far. Using Comcast cable modem, I am getting Wifi download speeds of 25 mbps & uploads of 5 mbps.

Thanks for the response. I am using comcast's latest modem and when it works, it's great. The connection does keep dropping, though, and I never had this problem before ICS.

Starting last week my Comcast internet service began disconnecting intermittently, especially late afternoon through the evening. After wasting time on their website and with an online chat, I called Comcast to ask about the modem. They told me I needed an upgraded Docsis3 modem. I went to the local office yesterday, and they swapped it out @ no cost.
Switched from Arris TM602G to a SMC smcd3gnv. Not sure which type modem you switched to.
So far, no problems with the new modem. What I don't understand (well, maybe I do) is why I had to spend so much time figuring this out. Why didn't Comcast notify me first?

What router are you using? Sometimes certain phone OS's don't play nice with the certain router firmwares. I've had problems with my Netgear and my Tbolt in the past.
I am using Comcast's Technicolor TC8305C. I was told it was their newest modem/router. Works in tandem with Xfinity X1. Hated to do it, but i did a hard reset on the Thunderbolt today and so far everything is fine. It even took some of the lag away. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
