Not sure if other people were having problems using the select content feature inside the little videos the HTC One creates. What's the proper name of those? HTC Share videos?
Anyways I played around with Zoe videos a bit and made a couple of my own. Exported from the Highlighted Video folder on the internal storage (that's where they save to).
Here's another video I put together...
Yeah, having no luck with the content selection either.
Also, even if you delete a file, it still shows up in the highlight.
Guessing they may fix that with an update.
I did wind up creating separate folders for the content I wanted in the video.
I'm thinking the next update will cover this.

Hi,
I liked how the gallery app syncs with picasa straight away, but it doesn't give me access to my 'favorites'. My wife uploads our baby pictures to her web albums and she is a 'favorite' so i can easily view pics via pc. it would be great to somehow access her web album by phone. seems like it shouldn't be difficult to do, but i haven't figured it out.
does anyone know whether it can be done? if so, how? if not, can someone recommend a good alternative?
thanks!
Not sure if this will help as I manage my photos on picasaweb a very specific way. Once I've uploaded pics to Dropbox, I go to picasaweb on my laptop, go to my Dropbox album....click on edit....then Organize And Reorder....
From here I select or CTRL select multiple images, and MOVE them to another folder or an existing folder...that folder then appears in the Gallery as a seperate picasa folder. This method can get a bit unwieldly if you have TONS of folders on picasaweb, because they ALL will display in Gallery. But if your careful to organize well this seems as good a way as any..Only takes a minute or so to do unless your moving tons of pictures around....Hope the idea helps..
thanks. that might be worth a try.
i was really hoping for something a bit more automated since my wife usually takes care of the photos. seems duplicative to have two sets of the same web album, but if that's the only way...
thanks again!
Does anyone know a way I can change the artist name and album names on my songs sooooo that they show up in the right spots?
I have songs that I got from download sites and just want to make them all show up under the correct artist.
I will try to explain better if that was confusing.
Any ideas?
Even if I have to hook up toa computer what program would I use to rename them?
You probably just need to edit their tags. There are various free mp3 tag editors that you can use in Windows. Also, a lot of media players have built in support for it. I don't know which one to tell you to use but I use Media Monkey. WinAmp may have the ability to do it too, I don't really know as I haven't used it for years.
Also, if you are using Windows 7, you can just right click on the file>properties, click the details tab and edit them there. You can do more than one at a time this way by clicking on the first file you want so it's highlighted, then, while holding the shift key, click on the last one you want. The first, last and everything in between will become highlighted. Then just right click on one of them and choose properties, then details. Edit it and the changes should be applied to all of those that you selected.
Perhaps XP has the same ability. I don't really remember as it's been a while since I've used it. I can fire up a VM and check it out though if you'd like. Or, if you have XP, just have a look and see for yourself.

Thanks bro
I'm gonna try media monkey later.
I had tried to do what you mentioned , couple nights ago, but I could only edit song name with that method. No other details could be changed.
And I am using a laptop (borrowed) that has Vista lol
I'll try those programs you mentioned when I get home from movies tonight...thanks again
Edit......If anyone knows a way I can do it directly from my phone let me know please
I did a search for mp3 tag editor in the market and there's a lot of them available. I have no idea which one would be the one to use though. I've never used one on Android so I don't know if it's a one song at a time thing or of you can find one that supports batch editing. You might have a look. Maybe there's something there you can use.
As for Vista, well, I'm surprised you can't do the same as in Win 7. You're probably right though. The only experience I have with Vista is when I ran the beta MS released and when I've worked on other peoples computers. Didn't like the beta so I didn't really explore it all that much. Went straight from XP to Win 7.
I have used a program called iTag from the market before to edit individual songs. It works fine if you only have a few songs here or there that you want to edit.
I haven't really found anything worth the time if I have to do a lot of editing though. If you have 20+ songs, it is easier to use something like Media Monkey.

Hy Guys,
The Win program I use is Easy CD-DA Extractor, been using it for years. Does everything audio you could think or want to do (Swiss Army Knife Of Digital Audio). it's the only one I use check it out. http://www.poikosoft.com/
Suppose that into images folder I have several subfolders, say 25. I would like a way to display in Gallery say 2 folders, with the pictures that I desire into each one, without having to physically moving the pictures (because for example each subfolder corresponds to a month, like nokia does: 201201, 201202, etc.)
Any way or market software to do it?
Hoi,
there are severals Gallerys on the market, which can what you want.
The Standard-Gallery app only can display the pics in the way you told.
Doei
Franz
Well, if there's any, I couldn't find it. The ones I tried are closely similar to the stock gallery viewer.
Any more ideas?
Foreword:
I want to import my pictures from an i9100 into windows. Easy enough, right?
Wrong. It's been a nightmare since ... well my first HTC G1.
What I want:
1. I want the ability to preview thumbnails of the phone's videos and thumbnails before importing.
2. I want the ability to select time intervals between photos to group them nicely.
3. I want the ability to append a filename to said groups so that they're imported in neatly named folders.
4. I want autorotate on import
5. I want to import only from a specific folder (crazy, right?), namely the DCIM folders. I don't care about the gazillion thumbnails scattered on my phone.
Live photo gallery comes close to these requirements but fails on points 1. (no thumbnails for videos on stock roms, but works with cyanogenmod) and 5. (gazillion pictures).
Adobe Lightroom isn't any better and fails on almost all criteria.
Picasa also falls short.
How do you do it? Am I missing something? Any clever app that knows how to exclude .nomedia folders?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers & happy new year.

Hi me from the past. Just a quick reply to tell you that nothing has changed in the future and no one seems to care about importing photos properly. I guess people are just happy doing copy/paste of folders...or have a lot of cloud space to upload full size photos...or just don't look at their million photos. Later me.
I've noticed that cyanogen/aosp names the pictures with the date they were taken for example 20121303 for may 3 2012, however sense merely names the pictures by number which is very frustrating when you are flashing and taking new pictures, trying to back up pictures, getting duplicates etc. I was wondering if there is a way to have sense name the pictures with the date instead of of numerical order thanks.
I use Photoshop CS2 Bridge to rename all photos once offloaded. They may have a low cost tool (Lightbox?) that does it. You can rename files based on most any embedded EXIF data. I usually use YYYYMMDD-[HHHH|SER#]_text_text_size.[EXT]. So even in pics taken very close together, usually there are no duplicates (particularly because I'm not using multiple cameras at the same time).
So what the phone or iPod or device names them, is really just a temporary file name.
I know, not the answer you asked for, but a different perspective to image file naming conventions....
