It's playing in 1080p on a small screen. Pixel density is to blame. Your other phones are not 1080p

Oh no, i do not have a provider through the app (AT&T).
I watch through the website (espn3.com)
Very nice, had been killing me (at least on my galaxy nexus) having to watch through the browser.
Yeah, it actually maximizes to fullscreen now. Quality is still not as good as the browser, but I'm having problems with the ESPN3 website (doesn't go full-screen and the video keeps on streaming even if I close it).

Just download Bs player from market. No lag at all, just install it first then it will tell you which codecs you have to install

Its better to convert it to an mpeg4(.mp4) 320x240. No need to install apps. Thats my method.
I was messing around with my buddy galaxy s3 and I noticed they can do this picture in picture kind of thing where they can minimize the video and still use other functions on their phone. I was wondering if anyone can implement this mod in their room or even make it available for the EVO.

? you mean minimize a playing video and have it still play in the background? or be recording a video and then minimize while recording to do something else? im not quite sure what you are trying to get at here haha think you can find an example somewhere?
Watching video and minimize it

or maybe he means this? i can do this with my computer monitor but it requires 2 different sources for video. so i can have my computer video full screen (via a dvi connection) but then have lets say a xbox playing in a small corner at the top through a different cable such as hdmi. looks something like this

is that what you mean op?
just follow the link i posted on the from the market and you'll find the app that will let you do the video minimizing option...you can watch a video while texting or even browsing on the internet

No I believe he is talking about the "Pop-up Play" feature that the GS III introduced that lets you play a video, minimize it to do other stuff like text and browse while the video is still playing in a smaller "picture-in-picture" window like seen here. luisrod03 was also correct. Here is another app that let's you do the same thing but it isn't free like luisrod03's link.
Yes the app let me do what I was trying to do... I wanted to view a video while texting and doing things on the phone... Also when u tap on it it will go back to full screen but I do like that super app though

Here's another option that sounds like it does what you're asking for.

Only catches are that it's $1.79 and I've never used it.

I'm having issues with the stock video player (another topic) and am looking for something to replace it. I would like something that has a screen capture button like the stock one. Other than that the rest could just be as basic as the stock player. Paid app is OK too. Don't need anything with a million features.

I have been using MX Player for years now.
Thats what I use so thats my recommendation.
Dont know if it has a screen capture function. If its there I havent seen it.

yeah just tried that, mobo and some other one. Didnt like any of them because so many options. MX kept flashing and reloading when browsing the list of video. even stopped playing a video and threw me back to gallery.
I just want something simple like the stock player.
Have you tried Archos video player?
Im good now with the stock player. Light flow was screwing it up. Need something to replace light flow now

Been using VLC media player with good results. Together with BS player no video will give trouble. BS player also can get subtitles files if necessary.
Light flow does same thing on wife's note 3. Weird.

Hi, does anyone else having the same issue as what I'm having? Youtube quality isn't as good on this device compared to galaxy note 3 or HTC one.
Videos play smoothly but the quality and the sharpness of the videos seems to blur and not as sharp and I already set the youtube setting to HD.

Download boat browser or another preferred browser with support for flash and watch 1080p without a problem.
If that's not an option, get the youtube mod allowing for 1080p streaming. Although I couldn't get it to work it might get fixed soon.
Turn off X-reality also, it kills YouTube.

I already knew that option but its not as easy as playing via app. Anyway thanks for your suggestion
I tried Viral Youtube app and its quality even though max it support 720p as of now(earlier used to support 1080p) is really fantastic.I find it much better than default youtube app.
