Have anybody a link to a changelog found?
Google is providing only informations about new features, but nothing about bugfixes
Has any phone received OTA's for 4.0? Last I understood was the new galaxy nexus phone will be the first to have 4.0 and goggles is already bringing out another upgrade?

New android
We should request google dev's to release a lighter version of android above Gingerbread which could run smoothly run on 600MHZ and 800MHZ phones,, I think that ICS is quiet heavy for our phones... Thousands of requests could do it..
It's about a marketing scheme, you make more money by advertising a new product to better devices, it isn't the other way around, if our phones were capable of getting ICS, would anyone really spend 400 dollars or more for sgs2 or galaxy nexus phones?

Social stream API in Contacts provider: Applications that use social stream data such as status updates and check-ins can now sync that data with each of the user’s contacts, providing items in a stream along with photos for each. This new API lets apps show users what the people they know are doing or saying, in addition to their photos and contact information.
Calendar provider enhancements. Apps can now add color to events, for easier tracking, and new attendee types and states are now available.
New camera capabilities. Apps can now check and manage video stabilization and use QVGA resolution profiles where needed.
Accessibility refinements. Improved content access for screen readers and new status and error reporting for text-to-speech engines.
Incremental improvements in graphics, database, spell-checking, Bluetooth, and more.

Could you try updating your source and building ICS 4.0.3..?
Many things should work out now since this release is officially meant for the Nexus S...
Maybe google has fixed some issues??
Best of luck..

No, the problem is as follows: google want to support only newer hardware,
up to Nexus S - we can see this in the new android software architecture,
the only thing developers can do: remove all that OpenGL ES 2.0 **** or make
it compatible with the old OpenGL ES 1.x ... and that takes a lot of time, even
for good developers.

Ladies and gentlemen let's face it, the OpT will not be compatible running ICS... The best we can do is theme other unofficial gingerbread source roms with ICS lookalike appeal... The only way you will get ICS is buying a better phone

Huh? The g1 has an ics port. It runs.... um.. it runs.
So you can get ics by getting an older phone. It just doesnt work well.
Optimus can get ICS... The fact that it was able to boot, load GSM, WiFi and stuff means it can run ICS... There are sooo many phones with Adreno200 GPU's and lower spec Android phones, Google just cant ignore em'... even if Google doesnt do anything, the guys at XDA will surely do something...
So wait for some time.. ICS just released last month... theres a long way to go...
some one, someday, might just turn up with an ICS ROM...

Cm9 & cm10 differences?

What's some differences in cm10...I've not flashed a cm10 rom yet and I was just curious? Is there any difference in how the UI functions?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
No difference in the UI.. just the performance of jelly bean is better
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda app-developers app
CM9: Based on Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4
CM10: Based on Jelly Bean 4.1 - 4..2
Apart from the difference in upgraded Android OS versions, Jelly bean holds a smooth UI with improved notification support and performance. It also adds some cool framework features like the notification dropdown which has been improved significantly. To sum up, if you are willing for stability go for CM9 which can be used as a daily driver but If you want drastic improvements with some bugs to compromise with, choose CM10. On this note, I would also state that bugs are being solved at a speed and so will you get a bugless CM10 soon. Thanks to Rashed, adfad666 & Bytecode.
I tried Rashed's and adfad666 CM10 ROMS and the only difference I found aside of the notification bar was the version number and the countless bugs. ._. !
All jb roms have terrible battery life atm. If you use WiFi a lot that alone is a no go.

It has minor UI and performance improvements. Battery is completely variable depending on usage. You can just search up a changelog for more details. And yes it is officially available for download now.

[Q] Custom Google ICS or Jellybean ROM for Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro/Win

Hello there,
Can a custom ROM with Google's ICS or Jellybean version be available?
Though there are lot of mods available, though trying each of them didn't give me the complete feeling of Google version of my phone.
I like Touchwiz but the AOSP version is what I love the most.

Ok. I found that cm 11 is available for it but it is preety unstable as they said.
Also it is the KitKat version. I am thinking to have the older i.e. jb or ics versions cos of their simplicity in UI.

Huawei MediaPad X1 KitKat VS Jelly Bean (Chrome Browser Review)

Huawei MediaPad X1 KitKat VS Jelly Bean Official Rom B007 with Chrome Browser testing.
I found that KitKat version has increased the performance of Huawei MediaPad X1 especially to Chrome browser. It is now fast and smooth.
