I was just wondering if anyone was having problems booting into TWRP or Getting SuperSU after gaining S-OFF with DirtyRacun. First off I just wanted to say I followed the directions and DirtyRacun worked flawlessly. But afterward I was having problem booting into recovery. I tried flashing through goo manager and through fast boot. Finally I unlocked through fast boot again using same unlock token as before, and it immediately booted into recovery. I am still a Noob. I only tried this because it didn't say unlocked on the boot loader screen. But it did work.

I did have issues being able to successfully boot into recovery after fastboot flashing TWRP. Using the bootloader (PJ75IMG) method worked fine, though.
Good to know. Like I stated I am a noob. I tried to get help on the irc channel but got stonewalled. I guess the question is considered off topic. After I Re unlocked the boot loader I was able to use a previous nandroid and boot right up. Maybe this will be something that could be added to future releases of Dirty Rancun.

These were the files I needed (To Get Root Back) once I Dirty Racun S-OFF'ed my 1.15 HBOOT LTE today. Hope this helps someone, if it does thank me please...

I downloaded both files but didn't change twrp to a zip. I tried flashing through fastboot. Sounds like that would have been much easier. Either way I got up and running. I imagine a lot of people will have same issue hopefully this thread will clear up a lot of questions. Definitely would have saved me some headache

After you do the DirtyRacun process it should not say "unlocked" at the top. It should say "-- Dirty Racun--" or something like that and show s-off.
When I did this process day before yesterday I did the Dirty Racun process, then make sure to boot your phone to the stock rom first. Then you can reboot to the bootloader and fastboot TWRP, then restore your Nandroid.
I had no problem at all except that Dirty Racun would not accept my 2GB card. All I had was a 2GB and 32GB and the 32GB is not supported. Ladyx patched the program and uploaded a new version to the site so that the 2GB would work. After that the process went flawlessly for me.

I processed a successful dirty raccun s-off Hboot1.19.(phnoe died so I sent it in and HTC hgave me a new one). I tried from goo off the play store, PJ75IMG.zip and nothing. Any thoughts from that point? Sure would like to get rolling on this thing with a nandroid and a little rom action!

Have same problem except I am still s-off and trying to get root. Tried the goomanger to install and also tried changing the names of it file and flashing in bootloader mode. I RUU to 2.13, relocked, took the latest OTA and still can get root by any method. I have the latest hboot (dont remember the number, but it's higher than 1.19. Any ideas!
Hello All,
I rooted my phone a long time ago and went from the stock rooted rom to MeanRom ICS. I then wanted to try other roms. I use TWRP 2.6 and tried everything to install a new rom. A friend suggested that I S-off my phone to see if that would work. I then tried Moonshine to S-off my phone. Now the phone wont boot at all. I can still get in the recovery and bootloader, but that's all I can do.
Here is my info for Bootloader:
Jewel PVT Ship S-on RL
HBOOT 1.19.0000

Thanks in advanced for the help
First things first, welcome to XDA, and congrats on your first post/thread. Too bad that this is the reason for it.
On to more pressing matters...are you sure that you completed ALL of the steps in order? Also, did you happen to read this thread?

Do you have a backup you can restore from recovery? If so, install your backup to get you up and running again. Otherwise, you can mount USB storage in recovery and copy a ROM from your computer to your phone, then flash the ROM. Remember since you're S-on you'll need to install the kernel separately from the ROM. Most Sense ROM's like MeanBean and Viper have a kernel installer built in; just follow the OP for whatever ROM you wish to install.
Also, you must either use Facepalm or Dirty Racun to gain S-off on your phone. Moonshine only works for those on Hboot 2.09/software version 3.16.
You can find links to Dirty Racun & Facepalm in the link in my sig.

Tried the backup I made a few days ago. No joy. I think that my bootlaoders fragged. When I boot into the bootloader, green text for the bootloader saying theres no PJ75Diag.img, PJ75Diag.nbh, and or PJ75.Diag.zip.

All that green text means is that the bootloader is looking for a PJ75IMG file on your external SD card. There isn't one normally there unless you're updating firmware. It's normal.
What ROM's have you tried to flash?

I load the backup, but the screen goes black after the initial HTC boot screen. I don't know what's going on.
I've tried CM 10.1 Nightly, Ubuntu touch WIP, and a few others. Everything seems to do just fine while installing, and then I reboot to a boot loop or staring at the HTC boot screen for a while.
When I rooted my phone, I went from CM 9 to MeanRom. After I went to MeanRom it acted kind of funky. I've not been successful at loading any new roms after that. I think I forced something that the phone didn't like onto it and now its stuck with it.
Try flashing MeanBean. Make sure you wipe properly before you flash it.

Should I go for the newest one? (3.09 or and older version)
The latest version should be just fine. The rom version doesn't change much aside from the fact that 3.09 has the latest changes and bug fixes.

In addition, make sure you follow Mikey's instructions on flashing the ROM since you're S-on for the time being. His ROM has a kernel installer that requires an extra step to install the kernel separately from the ROM on phones that are S-on.

SuperCID for HTC Evo 4G LTE:
Code:
adb shell
su
echo -ne "22222222" | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 bs=1 seek=20
After you do this start the other commands
Just take your time do one at a time and read what it says in the cmd window
Sorry to bother you guys again, but it says device not found when I enter adb reboot bootloader. Am I doing something wrong? I do beleive I have all the drivers. Sorry for being a pain, still learning about this stuff.

I installed TWRP last night and proceeded to flash JellyBAM. The issue now though, is that my phone won't get past the booting screen if I try to just let it turn on.
I cannot get into Recovery either. Last time I was able to, the back up file wasn't working.
I'm keeping calm at the moment because this is not the first time, but I could still use some help.
I'm trying to get the phone to recognize the PJ75IMG file, but it keeps failing to load.
If there's a thread I missed to see, please let me know. I'm headed to work soon so couldn't dig enough last night

Relocked
If you're S-on you have to flash the boot.img (kernel) separately from the ROM. You also need to go back and unlock your bootloader, since it's relocked. Hit the link in my sig for more info.

I was a bit overzealous in wanting to get ParanoidAndroid up on my refurb that just came in the mail. I unlocked the bootloader, then rooted, but before doing S-OFF, I tried to flash PA. Now, I'm stuck on the HTC bootscreen. I can get into the bootloader and TWRP, but when I try to flash something else, it freezes and reboots right around when it says "Installing Kernel, please wait."
I'm hoping there's something i can do from this point, I'm just not sure what.
You have to fastboot flash the kernel/boot.img since you are s-on
Download meanbean rom and follow the instructions in the op for s-on, then go get s-off... Good luck!

Hello all, and thank you for taking your time to attempt to help me with my problem.
I could not find a solution even after hours of researching and trial and error, so please forgive me if this happens to be one of those problems that are seemingly impossible to solve, when the actual solution is really quite simple! I'm hoping it is at the very least...
A few days ago I received an HTC Evo 3d from a family member.
I'm certain that the phone was completely stock, never rooted, no custom ROMs ---- just an ordinary HTC 3vo.
So I decide that I'm going to go ahead and find the steps necessary in order to flash a custom ROM, and I believe I did with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889438
I followed the guide, and eventually got to "***Step3: Perform JuopunutBear (wire trick) to get S-OFF status" where I had a little difficulty with the timing of the taps on the SD card. At one point I removed the battery from my phone because I thought it was stuck on the screen with the green arrow pointing downward, and after trying to reboot I found that the same JuopunutBear screen with the green arrow was still there.
I removed the battery once more, but this time when booting I held the volume down button to initiate bootloader. That went successfully, and so after trying the methods I found at http://unlimited.io/jbtroubleshooting.htm to remove this screen, I figured that I might try and flash a ROM from recovery and maybe that would fix it?xD My logic proved only half correct because even after formatting data/cache/dalvik, and then flashing a few different ROMs (not in the order of course) to see if any of them would allow the phone to boot up completely into OS, the phone is now stuck in a bootloop :'(
If I didn't provide enough information in the above description then I'd be glad to give any more details.
My bootloader reads like this:
- Juopunutbear -
SHOOTER XC SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.57.5757
eMMC-boot

^ Never noticed that the date is inaccurate before typing all of this out! Not sure that has anything to do with my problem here, but still interesting..
Thank you again for taking your time to help me.
This phone has given me trouble since it was first given to me lol.
The first issue before rooting or anything was with the inability to use wifi!
I ended up having to buy service for the phone to even register my Gmail account..
You're in good shape
With s off you can recover easily.
The question is what do you want to run?
If you're going to stay ics sense, then you'll just need to format all partitions except sd and flash a Rom
If you want to run a jb Rom, you need to downgrade your hboot to the jbear 1.50

Thank you for the reply
I'll try flashing different sense ROMs specifically,
and see if it will boot all the way through to the home screen.
Have you installed a recovery?
I suggest 4ext
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
I have installed a recovery, and it just happens to be 4ext!
I've been installing my ROMs by toggling usb storage in recovery, placing the ROM on the root of my microSD, and after disconnecting from usb storage I proceed to flash the chosen ROM, provided I've already wiped everything.
My trouble usually comes afterward when the ROM has completed it's installation and I go to reboot. Every time I've tried so far I've encountered a bootloop :/ But we'll see this time!
Gotcha
You'll get it sorted
What Rom are you trying now?
Sometimes you need to flash the boot.IMG after the Rom, but that usually only happens if youre s on.
If it still bootloops I would try this next:
Boot to recovery
Wipe all partitions
Reboot recovery
Wipe all partitions again
Flash Rom
Reboot phone
If all else fails you can run the ruu (will return u to stock Rom and recovery) and you will keep s off but will need to install recovery again.

I chose Team d3rp - Lights Out just to see if it would work, and to my surprise it did!!!
I wiped everything but my sd manually once,
and after flashing the ROM, the aroma installer gave the option to wipe again so I did.
After a suspenseful minute or two during the reboot, I finally got everything set up!
I can't thank you enough..!!
I'm not sure if I should make another thread or not, but the only problem I see now is with the wifi.
I have it connected to my network, and it's showing full signal,
but I can't access the internet and 3g doesn't even pick up when wifi is on.
If needed I'll make another thread, but I figured I would ask just in case!
I appreciate all the help so far.
Try a reboot or different kernel...don't know why it doesn't work

You can only flash sense based ROMs with that h-boot. Since you're s-off just downgrade your h-boot to 1.49.0007 or 1.49.1107 and you can flash anything you want
