Should be getting our own S4 section soon as well
Nothing about shipping yet. They haven't charged me yet, either, so when I see a charge pop up for it, I'll know it's shipping soon. I believe that they do not charge for the device until the day(s) it will ship.
my pre-order is now showing a full charge amount pending in my Amex pending charges.... makes me think it might be shipping soon
It's been moved up to May 23rd for the in-store date so it should be in your hand next Thursday hopefully.

We all know that captain obvious. Some people were saying they have activity on their cards, I was saying I have none. Nor have received any emails
Checking daily for a charge to my CC - will advise.
Thus far all anyone's seen is a preauth. Simply, this means that Verizon has merely verified that the credit card account is valid and that funds are available. At this point, no one has indicated that they've been charged.
It is highly doubtful that anyone will have their phone shipped out prior to next week Tuesday. Beginning Sunday or Monday, they'll print shipping labels and generate Fed Ex tracking numbers, at which point, folks will actually be charged and should receive an email indicating status of their order.

Companies wouldn't waste time running a transaction twice. I would imagine that once you see the preauth, it will convert to a posted charge.

Negative. All credit transactions are processed twice-that's simply the way the banking system works. There is a preauth, followed by a settlement. There is no automatic conversion to a posted charge. If t the settlement (aka batch) is not processed, then the authorization hold is automatically removed from the consumer's account after a set period of time.

Since the in-store date has been moved up, I sent a tweet out to VZW support about when the pre-ordered phones will ship. If/when I get an answer, I'll post.
It's saying on the VZW site that these will not ship til the 23rd. Now if people are going to be able to get these in their hands before the pre-order folks are, I'm going to be a tad salty.......

thats probably the day THEY receive it. legally they cant give it to you until the 19th.
Does your order status from BB say that the case and phone are backordered? I hope I didn't preorder it too late to where I'll be delayed in receiving mine longer than the earlier orders.

Sometimes our computers show two dates. One is listed as an in-stock date, and the other is listed as a street date. This is commonly set to prevent someone from selling a phone/game/anything earlier than intended by the manufacturer.

I was just wondering if the other BB preorders are currently showing the same backordered status as mine is. There's about a one-week window where people have been placing their orders (my order being on the latter end), so it's not out of the question that BB has ran out of their allotment for their initial shipments.
I can also understand how since these are preorders (and therefore not in stock), that BB would therefore indicate the status of the item as on backorder until they're allowed to ship them out on or around the 17th.
Either way, I'm fine with whatever the outcome is and am not expecting any magical early shipment.

I wasn't responding to your post and I wasn't being sarcastic. BB and AT&T made it pretty clear when the phone would be shipped/sold. I wouldn't expect any email after the order confirmation until it ships or is canceled from lack of funds.
It actually isn't unheard of for preorders to ship/arrive a day or two early.

It says free activation for new lines... but when I ordered as an upgrade it said Sprint would charge me $36 activation. I called Sprint retention department and complained about their lack of lte, etc and got a credit to my account and a promise to waive the activation fee

The $36 fee waiving is for new lines only, not upgrades.
And don't worry about the backorder note, Amazon told me that's just a placeholder type deal. They told me that that all pre orders are on track to ship by 5/18.

I made a promise to myself to never do that again, so my next HTC phone will definitively be via Amazon for sure.
I was opposite. I ordered through Sprint, canceled, ordered through Amazon to save $62.

Amazon did say I should have it by 5/22. Not sure whether I believe that or not, but at least they are giving me a date. I also noticed they gave me a free car charger once I placed my order. That was a nice surprise.
Not sure how this customs thing is going to affect it if it is true.

Yep they are giving a free car charger to everyone. Can never have enough of those generic USB chargers.
In all honesty, I doubt the Customs thing is going to affect pre-orders that much. Most of those phones have probably been in the country for at least a few days.
Those customs batches are for units not yet sold, I suspect.

Amazon often plays by its own rules. So I wouldn't be completely shocked to see them ship out preoders if they were able to get their batch. I know Sprint would prohibit them from doing this, but how effective could they be?

Just got my response back for the change in shipping. My order has been updated and says it will ship on the 18th and be received on the 21st. I figure Amazon will join the delay alongside everyone else, but they are taking their time getting that info to their customers, so I wonder if they will do anything about that... they are generally good with their customer service. I don't mind waiting if it comes to that.
Yeah I'm trying to keep my expectations low so I don't get disappointed but I'm hoping they already had some stock onhand before it went to backorder status and are still sending those who had preordered their phones on time.
On a related note, I did email again and requested for one-day delivery instead of the free two-day shipping that they automatically give you and score!

theyre shipping between the 16th and the 18th and theres a high likelihood they will control when they ship it based on location so they all arrive on the 19th, no matter what method of shipping you chose. but theres also a chance it arrives a day or two early.

It has billing account number, order number, shipping order number, and also shows the serial numbers for the phone and sim card.

Tried all the the alternate numbers on UPS, none came up. It is showing now as being picked up and sent 2 day air, so it will arrive Wednesday.
Hopefully they will not block the bootloader unlock by then, if they are even going to block it.

I switched today from tmobile to AT&T, due to very poor , piss poor service in our area, actually.We bought the htc one, a g3, and a sammy exhilaration for my mother and law
I ordered via web, and on completion told me scheduled to ship the 16th, got confirmation email,then the order proessed and sent to warehouse email, where it went into immediate back order, then, jut now came out of backorder, and into processing/pending shipment.The shipping method is overnight, so hopefully tbe 17th

Be happy you knew when the release date was--I preordered the Nexus 7 and had to wait more than two weeks, most of the time in the dark as to when it was actually being shipped out. Not only that, but brick-and-mortar stores ended up selling them before Google had shipped the preorders. It was really annoying and ten times more tortuous than this.

Not all business customers. I ordered mined on the 4th. still shows pending shipment. Although hopeful that it will change before Tuesday.
I ordered on 4/4 right when pre-orders started and my phone changed to shipped just a bit ago with a tracking number that doesn't work just yet.

Also, in case someone gets worried about the HTC Media Link that's supposed to some with it: I called customer care because my shipment notice didn't include it, but the rep said that it should come as an in-box accessory. Would have to wait and see if that's really the case.
to those who received their tracking numbers, was it for the 32gb or 64gb version? mine is for the 64gb and i still dont have a tracking number.
I have a dev edition coming but i ordered a 64 gb from ATT today. Just got off the phone actually. They jacked my premier site up and the shopping tab wasnt visible. They fixed that but said it would be 24 hours before it showed up. So i called in and ordered. I asked if they were on back order, she checked the SKU of the 64gb and said it showed -157 (negative). I wonder if that is the total amount ordered or the amount on backorder... She didnt know. Anyway they knocked 200 off the price even though i got an upgrade in November. Added overnight fed ex. Hopefully it ships tomorrow.
Mind's 32gb normal ed. Its also through FedEx if that makes any difference and I placed my order on the 4th.

Did you credit card get charged? because with preorders they charge your card which means they are sending it.. that what has happened to me with the droid x and galaxy s3.

Is yours a business account too? I ordered on day one and my personal account status has not changed. Just wondering if the first wave will be business accounts (which I know get overnight shipping), followed by personal accounts (with 2 day shipping).

No. New activation, personal account. Switched from Sprint to a Verizon S4 for my wife, and pre-ordered a note 3 for myself. Suffering with Sprint till it comes in. I do get a corporate discount, but its just a personal account.

I also have not been charged yet but for giggles I emailed that address asking what's going on. No response yet...

The way mine used to look was when I put my 16 digit "Preorder Confirmation" number in as a "VerizonWireless.com" order, it would show me "We received your order and it is in process. Expected Ship Date: 10/10/2013". That part hasn't changed, it's still doing exactly that. But when I'd use my 6 digit "Order number" and "Location code" as an "Over the phone" order (which was how I pre-ordered), it USED to show my order number followed by a blank tracking number, now it goes to the screenshot above. I've checked a few times since I saw that this morning, No change in website results and no charges to my card either.
I pre-order mine about two weeks ago, and it still says delivered by Oct. 10.

Good looking out. I just checked my both ways and get the same results as you. Mine too used to show an empty tracking number box when looking it up as a 'phone order', but now it's showing the "check back in an hour" message instead, while the online order status remains unchanged. Something is going on in their system. I wouldn't be surprised if we see our credit cards billed sometime today or tomorrow, and a shipping notification tomorrow/tuesday. Keep your fingers crossed!

That's what I was thinking. If it doesn't ship by Tuesday they have to know a good number of people are going to cancel their pre-order

When I check with my confirmation number all is the same. When I checked with my order number it says it's not found
