It has everything you need to get yor phone ready for a return, I've used it myself, it's pretty easy, download the drivers in that thread and you might need to install htc sync also, that maybe your main issue, get all the files from there and good luck.

Hello i need help unrooting my evo lte.I used zedomax method to get super su.I didnt know or should i say i didnt read that it doesnt unlock the booloader.the process is to complicated for me.Iam now trying to unroot and return to stock.I know if you go into super su you can undo the changes to go back to your prevthat were made.my bootloader is locked.I have s-on.I have been trying to install the ruu that matches my phones software settings.i downloaded the drivers for the evo.I downloaded microsoft framework 4.0.my problem is this every time i go to install the ruu it fails because my drivers go back to saying android 1.0 and when i try to update drivers it does not let me.i am running on windows 7 64bit.this is really getting annoying. Is there any way to install the ruu through the bootloader? One more thing i tried putting the phone in fastboot on the bootloader but i still get the android 1.0 and i cant update the drivers on my pc..I am running software version 1.12.651.1 710rd.If anyone can help i would really appreciate it thanks.P.S pardon my poor grammer.

How to Root/Unroot HTC Evo 4G LTE! [Windows/Mac/Linux][One-Click][<=1.22.651.1]
A quick peek at the android development section would have been quick and painless
not working
I did check out the thread.Im following the intructions.Like i said before when installing the ruu and my phone try s to reboot into the bootloader i get a error code 171.Thats because i cant update the drivers during the process.I go from my htc to android 1.0 and i cant update the drivers. Also one more thing my software version is displayed as 1.13.651.1_r2.But the ruu i downloaded only say 1.13.651.1.Can i still use that ruu?I cant seem to find a ruu thast has the _r2 at the end.Im sorry that im being a pain in the butt.
No its not that you are being a pain it's just that there's been a rash of people trying to revert to stock to take the ota. They all ask the same question and then they don't follow the directions or they don't read them correctly and end up back here with more issues. Try flashing a stock recovery and take the ota
A couple days ago I felt the same exact way thinking if anything happens to my phone I can't return it to sprint or anyone I rooted the same exact method that you did but I did my research and eventually gave up on trying to flash a ruu over being rooted with the boot loader unlocked has way more perks then having stock sense 4.0 if you ever need to update radios or anything upgrade the android software later on all you do is flash it there's so many people on xda to help you along the way as well believe me I thought I messed up my phone several times but like I said thanks to the good people at xda I'm enjoying my phone a lot better then the day I bought it brand new

Question, how do I flash back to stock recovery?
fastboot the recovery image
Alright I will try to recap what ive done today. I Was rooted with s-off via the thunderbolt tool and had the new ICS rom installed and running fine. But I decided to sell it so I used the thunderbolt tool to unroot and return to stock.
All was going well then in the boot-loader the update failed and i got stuck with boot-loader locked security warning, which would not let me do anything, was stuck in the boot-loader.
After some searching I found a link to unlock the boot-loader via htcdev to fix the security warning and allowed me to finally boot back into the rom but the phone kept shutting down after it booted up past the thunderbolt screen. So after searching I found this link http://www.thunderboltforums.com/forum/htc-thunderbolt-help/7853-how-fix-security-warning.html and used the 2nd method to fix it since I still have a custom recovery on the phone. Now my problem is I am once again trying to get s-off through the thunderbolt tool like it says in the guide but every time I use the tool it says Starting up... and does nothing. Bascially im now stuck with s-on and an unlocked boot-loader. oh I tried to relock the bootloader but it just gives me a security warning again and im stuck in the bootloader again.
Any Ideas?
Alright never-mind I just used the Revolutionary 0.4 program and gained "revolutionary" in the pink field and s-off again so im good there again.
The thunderbolt tool is still stuck at "starting up"..., is there another way to get the tbolt back to stock condition?

If you have S-off then just grab a stock RUU (easiest probably gingerbread) and flash the RUU in hboot. This will completely return your phone to stock as well as unroot you. If you wish to keep root then flash a leaked RUU that someone put up.

If you're already rooted go to the development section and download the new radio and put it on the root of your sd card, rename it to PG05IMG.zip, reboot into the bootloader. The bootloader will automatically scan for the update and ask it you want to update. Select yes. Once it is finished and the phone boots back up. Use a file manager to browse to the radio and rename it. Then download and flash the official ics build. Don't confuse it with the leak. The leak is a worthless piece of crap and doesn't come close to how much better the ota is.

Hi there guys, I rooted my HTC One a couple of months ago. But now I want to go back to stock. So I watched this tutorial video on how to unroot my HTC One and got to the part where I'm supposed to relock my bootloader.
I had to stop the process because the application he recommended wouldn't run on my Windows 7.
So, I'm stuck with a relocked bootloader and S-on.
I thought about converting my device to Google Play Ed but realized that I may not have the right skills for that just yet so now, I just want to go back to stock 4.3 but when I selected Recovery, it showed "***Security Warning***" right below "***Tampered***" and "***Relocked***".
After 2 restarts it disappeared but I'm scared that it might appear again.
I really want to just go back to stock. I've looked in the past threads and didn't find a solution on how to unroot specifically for relocked bootloaders.
I would really appreciate some help please.

Did you use rumrunner to s-off? Are you using a patched/modified hboot? Whatever method you used to s-off, you have to use the reverse of that, or you could brick your device. The answer to your question lies in the method you used to s-off your device.
I'm not saying this is going to help you, but I did a simple google search when I did this, and this helped me:

It says it's S-ON though.. Do I Make it S-OFF first then unroot it? I thought it would be S-OFF because I rooted it. Should i try rumrunner to turn it to S-OFF?

I recently decided that I wanted to unroot my HTC Droid DNA. I am just tired of the bugs that come with custom roms and I never really took advantage of root. I tried to use RUU to unroot but I kept getting error 155. I found out that is caused by having the wrong hboot version. I had 1.57 and needed 1.54. I downgraded but accidentally went down to 1.33 and now my computer won't recognize my phone so I can't upgrade my hboot to what I need it to be. I have tried to install the drivers manually the same way I did when I first decided to root my phone but it says that the drivers aren't compatible. Does anyone know of any drivers that I can use or any other way I can unroot my phone? Thanks in advance!
I found a stock android 4.4.2 rom and have decided to just use that rather than unroot my phone. I would still like to know how to update my hboot though so that I can use fastboot. Is there a way I could do it through recovery? If not I guess I need to drivers for hboot 1.33.
I've started down the path of getting S-OFF on my M8. I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone. I then started to get S-OFF and got as far as installing InsertCoin, which worked fine. I then attempted to install FireWater, but quickly found that won't work any more so I need to use Sunshine. OK, fine with that but Sunshine will not run, giving an error message that it cannot be run on a device that is debugable. I read in another post that someone got this working by installing a new bootloader. I did try this and even tried many different bootloaders but nothing worked. I have the device back booting into Android with InsertCoin installed.
So my question is what do I need to do to get the device into a state where Sunshine will work? Or, how can I revert the InsertCoin install??
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Stock ROM and stock recovery are best for sunshine, from what I've read.

Thanks. I found stock roms on the HTC website and was able to get the device back into it's factory state.
