Not long ago, I discovered the Screen Magnification feature (Only on Android 4.2.2) and it solved all my problems.
But now I found a new problem: Enabling this feature causes a general delay effect throughout the rest of the system, especially in apps like caller and calculator. In general, applications that have a keyboard further demonstrate this delay even more, but you can feel that something is wrong all over the usage.
The cause is simple: To enable the Magnification you need to triple tap the screen, so when you tap for the first time, the system is still waiting for the other two taps before making something. The solution? I do not know, but the Apple devices solved this by activating the feature with a three fingers double tap, that is a unique gesture instead of a single finger gesture.
The question is: I detected a problem and I suppose I know how to solve. Now, to whom do I report this experience? I do not think Google is going to worry about it because they are always leaving aside any accessibility features. It would be nice if I could get in touch with any developer who wants to improve the Android usage. Can you ajduar?

Not sure if this is impossible, easy, or even already accomplished, but coming from CM7 to MIUI there are two CM7 features that I am sorely missing:
1. Lockscreen gestures. I want to secure my device, but I've always hated that with Android you have to get past your "slide this there" lockscreen, THEN enter your pin or draw your pattern before you can get to the phone. With CM7, you can turn off the slides/rotaries/tabs/whatever that normally appear on the lockscreen (so it's just your lockscreen background, clock, and music controls) and set it to unlock when you draw whatever special invisible lockscreen gesture (which I also feel is more secure/less susceptible to onlookers than connecting dots on the Android pattern grid) you specified. This feature is great, and I think a lot of people misunderstand it!
If that isn't possible, does anyone know how you can at least turn off the conventional lockscreen if you have the pattern lock on? I really just hate the redundancy of the two-step unlock process.
2. (Screen off) long press volume-button track skipping. Simple as that. I need to be able to skip tracks without looking at my device (when running, driving, working out, whatever). Even lockscreen music controls don't cut it, because you have to click the screen on, look at it, poke the right button, relock the screen etc. When you're running, being able to long press on the volume up button to skip a track is HUGE.
I'm loving MIUI otherwise. Looking forward to Ace getting a handle on the wakelock, and sound/games/media issues.
As an aside, I do wish Xiamoi would release source code for people to comb through...it seems weird to me that a corporation--Chinese or otherwise--would sink untold dollars/development hours perfecting and making freely available a product that offers no clear monetization strategy. Furthermore, Huawei and Baidu's longstanding cooperation with Chinese Intelligence agencies makes me leery of Chinese corporate interest)
Gestures would be cool especially since on the default lock screen you have over half the screen of nothing.

Just wondering, if you accidentally hit reply, why "submit" the comment? You could have still avoided it.
Just found this flashable MIUI mod for the volume track skipping:
http://forums.miuiandroid.com/showthread.php?7356-MOD-Skip-track-via-volume-press
I haven't given it a shot yet, but if it works, it might be a good one to build into Ace's MIUI (like he inbuilt the extended settings mod).
Still keeping my eyes out for a lockscreen gesture mod.
I need to use screen magnification, tried magnification gesture in accessibility, and it caused my phone to be so much lagging in general.
I tried Assistant menue, it contains a screen zoom feature, but it is not much helpful, takes a part of the screen and slow.
- Is there a way to change or cancel the Magnificaion 3 taps gesture so the device wouldn't be laggy, and change it with other way of turn it on/off and triger it by Tasker?
- Is there another application that does the same?
- Is there a solution?

Hey Friends,
i noticed, that unlike other phones, I am having the issue of having to tap twice on the screen to get the phone to react.
More specifically, when I am scrolling up (for example the whatsapp contact list) and I tap on a contact shortly after the scrolling has hit the top the app will not go into the contact despite the tap.
I have to wait 1-2 seconds and then tap for it to actually register the tap itself.
I am having a similar tap issue with the nav bar below. I find myself often tapping twice on the circle to get to home. Somehow the hits are not registering in time/correctly.
To my surprise, there are apps (e.g. the home drawer) that react on the first tap.
Anyone with similar issues?
anyone?

I'm having similar issues but went to settings/ smart assistance and messed with "touch disable mode and glow mode"
Also try settings/ language and imput/ pointer speed.
I'm giving this a try for a couple of days before my return period expires good luck!
Case closed?
I thought i was the only one since i hadn't seen anybody post about it
I finally decided to remove the "tempered glass" which after removal I realized its not tempered glass, but a very thick screen protector (don't know what brand, I got this phone from a friend). So I was hoping that the screen protector is the culprit and YES, after removal my touchscreen sensitivity is better now. I wouldn't say it's performing perfectly, but it's much better than before. No more typo every now and then lol.
Edit:
Still getting trouble (just less frequent than before) especially when im typing fast, the letter S and A usually missed out. For example, i typed "missed" but result is "mised". And spacebar too! So annoying
Also like OP, nav bar sometimes i hv to tap twice.
i have problem with navbar not responding for about 1.5 sec after doing some stuff on homescreen. workaround for me was to switch to different navbar style after phone reboot. after next one delay returns. reported it to huawei and we'll see what happens. im on 8.0.0.129. to reproduce just tap anywhere on screen and then rigt after try to press any button on the navbar.
Same here, had touch issue since day 1. Sometimes it ignores space, sometimes I have a hard time using gesture with OnePlus gestures and so on. Gloves mode help a bit. Probably some digitiser are worse and the software can compensate only so much. I mean you can always use the warranty...
Hi,
I have a problem with my Mate20Pro
The Touch screen often recognises mit fingers as knuckles. Huawei Support couldn't help since I've deactivated the feature. The Blue line still appears randomly. Is there a way to uninstall the feature completely?
Less than once per day happen to me too, only when I'm playing games with phone in landscape, of course knuckle is disabled in the options. Dunno how to disable completely
Hey,
I've been having the same problem with knuckle sense. In earlier firmeware versions it was sufficient to uncheck all knuckle gestures in the settings (well hidden under motion control). But in current versions it still seems activea afterwards. I think it is due to a tutorial of the multi-window implementation. You have to draw a horizontal line on the screen while being in an app. Then a tutorial starts that introduces you to new features of multi-windows - informing you that multi window is NOT workling with knuckle gestures anymore. Klick "don't show again" and the knuckle gestures are gone (if you disabled the everything knuckle-related in motion control ofc). You only have to do it once.

Thank you so much for that.
I've been having this problem for such a long time now and couldn't find any solution for it.
Everywhere else they just say it's a bug and there is no way to get rid of it.
Now it seems to be finally disabled for sure.
Sadly I did reset my phone two days ago.
I found that sometimes the swiping doesn't always register. It certainly doesn't work when the keyboard is open. One must swipe in the space ABOVE the keyboard. And doing that often opens the tray from the left in some apps or begins to reply to a message in other apps. I have increased the sensitivity of both touch AND gesture areas. The problem still persists. This is quite a basic function that I would've thought Samsung would've optimised.
Does anyone else have this issue or know of a fix? It's really really annoying.
Lack of software optimisation, which is feature of Samsung, I am shocked only one thing bothered you till now?
