LCD Density - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

I'm running the stock Rom with rootand I can't seem to get my LCD density to stick. Anybody else able to change density?

You need to be running a kernel with system write access.

Increase multitouch

Is there any way to increase the multitouch number for the touch screen? For instance the screen only reads 2 fingers at a time. I tried changing the build properties from 2 to 4 and rebooted with no success.
No. AFAIK there was a thread about this a while ago though

I also tried the sgs app for the galaxy but it didn't work didn't expect it to but it was a shot in the dark. I'm beginning to wonder if its actual hardware that wont allow it to change.

in the atrix all this changes are related to the kernel, multitouch, overclock, gpu, cpu... everything, thats why we need to get 1 custom kernel, to made our mods to it
Makes sense thanks I hope tenfar and khoulk make some progress soon

I don't have such problem. Have you changed the permission to write the file?
You can also try pull the file out, altered it and push back again.
I change mine to 280dpi and only thing that is wrong is misalignment of dialpad, so I use Acontact instead.

when you are using root explorer, ensure you pressed the "r/w" button in the right upper corner.

Generic tablet and some stuff...

Hello, I have a generic a13-mid tablet and the camera seems to not work. Is there anyway I can fix this?
Also, does this tablet have root, custom recovery and a ROM that's stable?

Nexus 4 Screen Resolution

My screen resolution is reading 640 x 384 on whatismyscreenresolution.com. I've tried other websites and they also read the same. Is this normal? I thought the screen resolution was much greater than that?
I removed the soft keys in the system file. Is that why it isn't reading correctly?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
That should not be the case. You could try to confirm your screen resolution by taking a screenshot and simply read off the information from that image.
Also, this has nothing to do with "themer"-app, but I assume the name confused you.
Oh I'm on the wait list for the app but it has resolution restrictions, which is why I asked here

Enable back your soft key

any help to solve mess of resolution for Nexus 4?
I put in a request for them to support 1280x768, which is the resolution of the Nexus 4 with notification but without the soft keys. That's all I can really do.

(Q) changing DPI

I'm on stock firmware MJ7 rooted and want to change my dpi settings. I've done this before on various roms, but want to ask what app should I use and is it safe?
Just don't want to end up in a bootloop or something so any help would be appreciated.

Just install xposed framework and download the dpi mod in xposed download tab.

Alright I have xposed too so I'll try that, I just wanted to check on here and see what people were using.
My last phone I had issues with doing this and since I'm not running a custom recovery or anything, I wanted to be sure first. Thanks though I'll give that a try.

The one on xposed is per app dpi. Which is still cool, but I was looking for setting the system itself. Wish I didn't have this jacked up bootloader so I could just run paranoid Android or another rom and I'd have all these options built in. This is the first time I've run xposed on a phone and first time looking into an app or module for dpi settings so... I'll search and see what else I can find. Again just want to do it safely. I know I could just grab some app and hope for the best but wanted some feedback first that's all.

That does work. You have to do a reboot then it looks good. .All except the keyboard. It's huge. So I apparently I'll have to fiddle with swiftkeys dpi settings to see if I can scale it down to look normal. Not sure why the keyboard didn't take the settings like everything else did after I changed "Android system"
Also. .. Samsung keyboard looked the same. .huuuge

Well I use nova and for now I just changed novas dpi and get the same results and my keyboard is all good too. Maybe I was just overlooking something but I tried changing both Samsung and SwiftKey dpi settings after I did Android system and nothing seemed to help, either to big or way too small.
For now this works.

Good deal, I'm pretty sure there are other mods out there that'll change the dpi also. Might want to try them out.

I know I'm way late at responding here. But what dpi do you personally use? I remeber on my note 2 I would use 160 to 175 but It had a bigger screen.
