It is not a problem, just the way the rocker is engineered. It's perfectly normal, so calm down.

The issue was resolved in the latest ics firmware .45, buttons are more responsive. But if you're having a hard time pressing it, slide from transparent strip up to the dots and I can tell you, it is effective.

Yes.
Just practice. You'll eventually find out the secret to touch them successfully. I got the hang of it after 2 weeks.

Well, that depends on the mod.
Sometimes the volume wake isn't working perfectly, and might be a little buggy. But if if works perfectly, it'll be able to wake your device from deep sleep.
I'll add the fully working volume wake to skydragon in the next update.

Well, thanks Maarten.
I'm currently on mySense RC 3.0.
My volume wake seems buggy from your description. I've had the same issue with Sense Revolution too.
So I wanted to confirm if my understanding about volume wake was wrong.
I'll try skydragon once it adds the volume wake.
It seems my power button is not gonna last long. Already finding it a bit difficult to press. Any of you having the same issue?

Try removing the back of the phone and cleaning the part underneath the power button.

Was working fine initially.. But I have to press harder lately.
As Maarten suggested, lemme try cleaning.. Use some spirit.

The volume to wake was not supposed to be in the mod in my ROM... it was accidently not removed. It needs more file to make it work properly which I do not release.

That easily can be done if you follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24519453&postcount=1 and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35230714&postcount=1
but I still prefer the sweep2wake... waiting for NexusPrime to integrate that in atis112's kernel.
