70 is the new value plan with unlimited everything including 4G data but it sounds like you're on a legacy plan - you would have to call T-Mo to find out. It varies whether you are under contract or not.

Yeah I've had it for a while. It used to be 60 a month. 60 / 5gb is 12 bucks per gb with this new plan I'm paying 15 per gb

I'm on the 60 4g Unlimited Plan

Nice
well, it turns out I can just upgrade to the unlimited 4G (the real w/e is called) for 20 bucks
So my total bill would be $50
should I?

I was told by a Verizon Rep. that it would not cost anything extra. Unlimited data is unlimited data. You just have to get a 4g phone and hook it up. But, I found this hard to believe so who knows.

How are you getting unlimited data for your whole family for 30 a month. One phone alone on our family plan the data is 30 and the other phone is 24 because of discount.
Am I missing a good deal somewhere lol

Agreed data plans are deff not covered buy family share plans,I have to pay $30 for 3 diff lines each month.Only our minutes and text is included. As for 4G I wouldnt think they charge anything extra besides technically its really not even 4G just an upgraded 3G

Darn I was hoping there was a deal out there. Guess not w/verizon lol. I heard 4g data would be same price as 3g but once again this is verizon we talking about.

4G is same as 3G. I switched from a Fascinate to a Thunderbolt with no problems. They gave me a SIM card with my number from the Fascinate on it and I left the store happy.
I have no 4G towers close to me yet, though.

[Q]AT&T Throttle speeds

I received this text from AT&T today(see below)... Was wondering if they really do and how much they will throttle me.
The text
" ATT Free Msg: Your data usage on your 4G LTE smartphone is near 5GB this month. Exceeding 5GB during this or future billing cycles will result in reduced data speeds, though you'll still be able to email & surf the web. Wi-Fi helps you avoid reduced speeds. Visit www.att.com/datainfo or call 866-344-7584 for more info."
Thanks!

Someone else posted that they were throttled to .6 mbps after hitting 5gb.
Were u on a grandfathered unlimited plan & switched to an unlimited lte plan?

.6 Mbps from what?
Because I get on average ~20-35 Mbps I might die if I got .6...

Hahaha I guess I should set mine to 4.99 just so I don't reach the cap.
Or would only 4gb be safer ?
Also what app do you use to track it anyway?

I'm using onavo personally. What about everyone else?
Unlimited grandfathered in plans get throttled at 5GB for 4G LTE data plans and I believe 2 or 3 GB for 3G & HSPA+ data plan.
If you have ICS, go to system settings then click data usage. You can set a data limit also. Its built in so you wont need to download an app.

From whatever the theoretical max bandwidth available for their area. Once they hit 5GB of usage, their speed was capped at .6 Mbps.
This was only one data point though, so as always, YMMV.
I hit ten plus gigs a month. They throttle at five but it's very easy to get un throttled. Just look into the ImEi trick . Basically call and update your imei with a 4g phone. Then call back with lte note and update. You are un throttled. Don't let them limit your data Usage.

Anyone know an alternative to this IMEI trick because I no longer have access to my old infuse so I don't really have the ability to "update" my IMEI.
Thankfully my billing cycle just restarted today, I was at 4.8GB so I was nearing their 5gb mark.
I did some more research on this matter and found these three potential fixes, has anyone confirmed that it works on the Gnote?

anyone try the new net10 $25 plan

i was reading online and it says $24 month 750 minutes and unlimited text pix and data.
net10 gets good speeds here for data about 5-7mb so just wondering who all uses the $25 dollar plan.
The $25 plan is only 750 minutes. It does not include unlimited text or data. Text messages are taken out at a rate of 1text/minute. Also the $25 is not available for the byod program.
You can only use the $50 unlimited plan, or $45 unlimited plan if decide to use straight talk.

Unlimited data

OK so my question is if I add a line to my plan does this count as a change of contract and I lose unlimited data?

When you add the line and you take one of their phones at the discounted price it will force you to lose the unlimited. If you pay full retail on the new phone you then can ask to keep your unlimited.
Would I be able to use a phone I already had?

Odd, I was told I could add a line and keep my data, but my wife would be on one of the older tiered data packages...
They said I could get a new phone too and it wouldn't effect my data. Go in to your local store and find out.

Be wary of following advice from the stores that's all I have to say about that. If you currently just have a single line plan and turn it into a family plan they will give you one of the new share everything plans. Unless you're currently on one of the older family plans and you're under 5 lines I believe you could add one and retain the unlimited data on your line. It would just add another montly access charge 9.99 + cost of data plan and other features.
The last time I talked to a CSR they told me that if I change anything that my plan changes. I asked to add tether and they told me I'd lose my unlimited. Don't know how true it is since everyone hears something different.

When it comes to the VZW CSRs you'll get a different answer everytime you call in. Since there are so many centers and a majority of them are outsourced no one is held accountable for what they say.
Manager at verizon store in my town told me I can get upgrade still keep my unlimited data, they would just put upgrade on one of lines that has 2 basic phones and I be in another 2 year's with unlimited data nothing changes. I'm planning to get DNA this Friday. Just have to find employee that willing to help u out.

You can change to a shared plan and keep your unlimited data but it will be expensive. If you choose the legacy Nationwide Share Talk and Text plans, you can keep unlimited data on your line ONLY, and still add as many lines as you want. Again, it will be expensive.
I used to be on the 450 minute plan with unlimited text and data...was about 95 a month after tax. I changed to the Nationwide 1400 plan (100.00), plus unlimited text (29.99), kept my unlimited data (29.99), added 2gb for my wife's line (30.00), and there is a 9.99 access charge per line. Add in insurance, my Slacker subscription, and tax, and i am paying about $185 for 2 lines.
You would definitely save money by going to a Share Everything plan.

HTC One Data usage.

Was on the verge of switching to AT&T until Verizon new announcement that they will carry the ONE. My question is for all that are here. What is the average data usage with the One? I have unlimited on 2 lines with Verizon and if something happens to my unlimited I'm leaving.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
The best thing you can do is to look at your prior data use on vzw.com. Some people use a ton of data, some not so much.
I did this when I switched from Verizon to AT&T and found I only average 3gb. Losing unlimited was no big deal after seeing that.
Research your own use and see how it looks. Switching to AT&T actually saved me a bundle.

I just switched from tmobile unlimited found out I rarely go over 2g so I should be good for 3. And I like att plans got 450 anytime minutes with unlimited cell phone to cell phone no matter the carrier and unlimited text. Almost all my calls are to it from a cell phone so I thought that was cool phone bill should be less then 100

For Verizon, to keep your unlimited you will have to purchase your phone at FULL price. Otherwise, to get a contract price you will have to switch to their 4G LTE plans.
As for how much data the phone uses, that really depends on how often you are around WiFi.

That is like not having unlimited data plan if they will force you to pay extra to keep your plan unlimited.
