Does anyone know why the galaxy note stylus will not work on our tablet or anyother touchscreen device for that matter?
Because our primes doesn't have required stuff under the screen, unlike tje note family. Read more from here; http://m.androidauthority.com/break-it-down-how-does-the-s-pen-work-154435/

Hi guys, happy new year!I was wondering, since the note and gs2 are practically the same phone, how hard would it be to develop a note rom for the gs2?I for one would find it super cool to have full functionality of the capacitive pen in my gs2 plus all the applications created for the note. And since samsung arent going to bother(makes sense, few would buy the most expensive note if they did) it would be amazing if any developers would think about it(especially an ics rom when it comes out)!Cheers!

The note has a wacom digitizer which is needed for the fancy pen stuff, software can't add hardware.

Yup. No Wacom pen interface hardware on the GS2.
I see.Bummer.So a common capacitive pen wouldnt still work with most of the fancy note apps?In some percentage at least?Or it would be totally unbearable?

Samsung Note's S-Pen is a big factor in being able to write and draw on the device. Normal stylus simply wouldn't work.
Ahhh guys.... the op said he wants to use a capacitive pen not a wacom pen.
It'd work fine, only limitations we would have on the gsg2 is the wacom pen pressure feature and side button feature.

haha. Yep.
My best friend has the s3 and I have the note. I personally do more with rooting and stuff and my note has the features his does and some his doesn't so I like mine....the s3 on the other hand has a cool look but the note grabs more peoples attention....the s pen is bad ass as well...I'm bias though because of me owning the note...
Go to phonescoop.com and check out the specs...

Use the thanks button if you find anything I say useful pleaaaaaase
I'm tempted really, by the speed and stuff and the extra ram. But the size irks me a little and the fact that the only plus goodness is just a pen which writes on the screen, it doesnt help that it costs around 600euros here in my country, which is 800 SGD.
Hi,
I haven't upgrade my international Galaxy S3, because I hate big screen like that. I prefer one phone and one tablet (10inches).
I don't think they have an huge difference between Galaxy S3 and GNote 2 speed. At last, pen exists for galaxy S3or other capacitive digitizer.

I can use the Spen for my s3 too?
I don't know if I had to set something up beforehand, but I tried my friend's Note II S-Pen on my S3 and it didn't work. Not going to lie, I'd've liked a Note 2 but I didn't know if it would've fit my hand (I found out today that it does - mostly). If my next phone is a Samsung one (hopefully so) then it will be the Note 3.

No, S-pen doesn't work. But C-pen (made by Samsung) is design to work with Galaxy S3.
(Because of digitizers were different on Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, some features are only available on GNote II.
one word. "BIG"
It's just too big, that nd the fact that I have 22 months of my contract to run.

Q: What is stopping you from upgrading to a Note 2?
A: Money. Also it is a little too big for my pocket.

C pen is rubbish and doesn't respond to the s3 very well even without a screen protector, I know cause I wasted £15 on it

Who said the Note II is an upgrade?
It is bigger, but sometimes smaller is better (if this weren`t true, Samsung wouldn`t release the S III Mini).
first it's too big, expensive, and i love my galaxy s3
The 1gb ram of my s3 just irks me actually. But I think I can survive till s4 comes out..

Sadly, an iPad II. I seriously don't know what possessed me! At the time there wasn't really an Android tablet that appealed to me or that was available in my country. I desperately want to get rid of it and replace it with a new Galaxy Tab. iOS is crrrrrrrrrrap! You cant even do simple things like Bluetooth files from one device to another! Some of the apps and games on iOS are ok but as for the functionality/customisability, it is non-existant!
I have the nexus 7 32gb version. Before I had the Asus transformer.
Both great tablets but I fancied a smaller form factor after a year with a 10.1 inch tablet. And I could not resist the 7's price tag either! Especially after I tried a friends one at work one time.
