[Q] (?) notifications

Is there a way to set multiple notifications tones for different things text messages and a different tone for emails, ect
Go into the settings menu for any item you want to set the notification sound for. There will be a Notifications option in the settings menu for each email account, text messages, etc. where you can set the sound for each one's notification. Also, questions should go in the Atrix Q & A section.

No what he's saying is each app that you want a different sound for open it go into its settings and change it from there. Thats how you gotta do it.
Ok I get that and have tried it but I still get two text message sounds and I don't have any rims or themes only.rooted and deodexed the only text messaging app that doesn't give me double sounds is the stock app but with it im stuck with only one tone for all notifications I have tried handsent sms and go sms someone please help when I get a text it sound like a cd just skipped
use Light flow, not only does it allow you to set specific tones for apps that dont allow you to customize (words with friends), but it also allows you to change the LED notification color

Thanks I will give it a try but did figure out how fix my problem by using root explorer and renaming the conversation.apk to conversation.apk.bak which it uninstalls it but keeps it in the phone in case I wanna use it again by doing that it allows any other sms app to be the one and only choice to choose from so the end result is was no more double notifications sounds in my text messages so thanks for everyones help and I will check out that Light Flow app it sounds pretty good.
could a moderator move this to the correct section (Q&A) THANKS

for double notifications, you need to goto the stock sms app and disable notifications entirely.. (menu button > settings > untick notifications) then just enable them in the new sms app you use such as Go SMS Pro or Handsent

[Q] Actionable notifications with Touchwiz text messaging app

Does the touchwiz text message app have actionable notifications? Whenever I get a text and expand the notification, there is no option to reply or mark it as read.
Is there another sms app that has actionable notifications?

I have always used third party apps to handle SMS but really like the SMS app built in enough to stick with it.
It is annoying though when I can definitely read the msg in notification but have no way of dismissing it and marking read unless I open the msg and back out.
Sent from my Synergy Galaxy S4
You may want to try out Textra in the play store. When you receive a text, you can click it in the notification panel and a pop up appears, you can respond or, click "done" and it will be mark as read.
If you have ever run bitesms on a jailbroken iphone, the same devs make Textra.

Thanks a lot! We will probably add some new features today or tomorrow, we'll keep you updated.

Really great module, jumped in to say how useful this is! Will buy pro version in a few days if all keeps working as cool as it does now.
Small question here, would it be possible to set a dark theme for the heads-up? This way reduced opacity could be even more useful than it now is, since I find I can't lower opacity that much with the stock light theme of heads-ups without losing reading capabilities on low backlight setups.
Keep up the awesome work!

This means some issue causes the module not to load.
Contact us and we'll help you resolve the issue
Hi All,
We uploaded version 1.3, you can install it from Google Play, Xposed Repository or directly from the first post of this thread.
Version 1.3 adds the option to define in notification rules whether to hide notification ticker, title and / or content (each can be hidden independently of the others).
This gives great flexibility for protecting your notifications from wondering eyes, prevent notifications from occupying space with long and useless text, etc.
If you have any question, issue or feature request please let us know.
Feedback and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
i have a little feature request.
While i drive with my car, i'am connected over bluetooth to my car. Whenever a new WhatsApp message arrive, the app "OutLoud" reads the notification text via Google Text to Speech over the car speakers. Everything good so far. But when there are >= 2 new messages in a WhatsApp group, "OutLoud" will read "2 new messages" because the ****ty WhatsApp stacks all messages in one notification and the notification say "2 new messages" then. So there is also an option in "OutLout" for that problem, which dismisses the notification as soon as they arrive. This works pefectly, but the dismiss of the notifications doesn't set the WhatsApp message as read. Then when a new message will arrive, a new notification is created with the "old" messages in it, because they are not marked as read.
Now to my feature request. Maybe you can add a option which enables/disables a function, which marks the whatsapp message as read, when the notification is dismissed. Should be simply to integrate as you already integrated the mark as read funtion and an event for the dismiss notification part. I think this would also a cool feature for other apps, like telegram.
That would be awesome Thanks for the cool app
Regards
Chris

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. Basically this can be done (configured in settings).
We'll see if we can distinguish between scenarios the case where the user dismisses the notification and the case where a code dismisses the notification, but if we cannot make this distinguish it will mean that you'll have to toggle this option on and off (if you don't always want conversations to be marked as read when dismissing notifications).
We'll update about it, thanks and enjoy
Really nice to see that the dev team is so active and open for feature suggestions.
What about a GMail "mark as read" option? Would be pretty helpful to not have to open the app to mark as read.
great app keep up with the hard work

We'll check Gmail / Inbox along with other apps (Hangouts, Telegram and more) in the very near future for notifications enhancements, and of course we will update.

Thanks for investigating.
Maybe it would be also an option to unstack notifications messages for certain apps. For example: Whatsapp stacks all notifications if there are more than one message for a user/group. iOS does it like this. Every notification is a single notification. There is no stacking of notifications. I think some people like the iOS notifications system more (Including me ).

Notification problem

Hello,
I am French and I use Google Translate to help me, sorry for my writing ... ,
Here, I have a double problem, we are several to have this problem on S9 / S9 +,
When I miss a call, I used to have a "missed call" icon to notify, only there I have no icons, none on AOD, the lock screen, and on the phone application no logo. ..
I looked in the settings, notification and advanced settings notifications, nothing makes it ... this is very frustrating.
The second problem that follows and concerns all applications that have notifications, I receive a message (SMS) or Snap, so everything works fine (AOD, lock screen etc. ..) and as soon as I launch the application message or snap (application I tried) but without looking at the message the whole thing also disappears, both the "1" on the application on the AOD ....
I am really disturbed by his changes so that I come to you for help, imagine that Samsung's service failed to answer me ....
Thank you again for all the help you will bring me 
Thank you very much,
Nico'Teix

Google Voice Peek Notification issue

Apologize if this is a duplicate. Search did not bring back the info I was looking for.
Having the problem with Google voice text. I want to disable the peek notifications while the phone is on. So I'm not interrupted doing other things.
I have set all the settings to make noise only, but i still get the peek notification when a text is received.
I did notice that on the HUD when you swipe the notification and click on the settings icon for the notification, the Uncategorized section in the notification area for the google voice app flashes to focus attention.
I double checked on my Essential Ph-1 the uncategorized section can be set to Allow sound, but on my S9+ there is not a setting in this category for sound only. Just let app decide. If i turn sound off for the categorized section then I do not get GV text message notifications.
To clarify what I want to do is suppress the peek notifications for GV text messages while the phone is on, but allow a sound to play.
Weird that my Ph-1 would allow this but the S9+ does not even allow the change of the setting.
