Hi,
I need help in rooting my Xperia Pro MK16i smartphone. The Build number is 4.0.2.A.0.62 and Android version is 2.3.4.
Right now i only want to root it to get admin access to remove unwanted crapware.
I am waiting for jelly Bean ROM to get released here to try on my xperia pro. .. so i will try only that one on it.
If anyone could also tell me some of these things.:
1. I have heard that it is not possible to root 4.0.2.A.0.62 build number on xperia pro. is that true.? can something be done anyways to root it on this build only without any risk?
2. since build number 4.0.2.A.0.58 can be rooted, will i be able to update it to 4.0.2.A.0.62, will it work fine and still be rooted? How to do it.
3. What are the Best available CM9 (ICS) ROM for Xperia pro. Based on User Votes/Experience?
4. How is performance of these custom ROM. I mean, is ICS running fine without any issues on Xperia PRO users here. Any suggestions on CM9 ROM in which minimal Lag or minimum Issues are there would be appreciated.
5. For putting a custom ROM, do i need to unlock bootloader?? how do i unlock bootloader and flash ROM? what is the difference between these terms. can i put custom ROM without unlocking bootloader and what are impacts of the same.
Pls help.

I have an Xperia U, obviously BL unlocked and rooted. I prefer GB to ICS for its superior battery and gaming so I installed KASSPEED ROM with the KASSPEED kernel v6.1 on it. The developer of the kernel(AWESOME ROM AND KERNEL. THANKS KRABAPPEL ) claims there is OC in that kernel upto 1.2 GHz. So could someone tell me how to OC. I have the kernel installed but SetCPU seems to register my max clock speed at 1000 MHz. Please help......
Without create an access point but Ik I enabled data and roaming I didn't disable cuz of the annoying notification and this didn't happened on gingerbread please help that is costing me alot

The rom needs to be ported to your device, otherwise it won't work...You have to ask the ROM Dev to port it to xperia u...Maybe he (or another dev) can help you
well first of all you need to have unlocked bootloader whereas you have locked bootloader.... second the rom you are refering to is specific to the xperia u devices... flashing it on xperia P will brick your device... and why do you even want to install xperia u rom when xperia P already have every custom rom possible from ICS to Kitkat.... flash one of those..... i prefer Kitkat because its close to perfection and can be used on daily basis... just use greenify donation app to hibernate apps and xbooster pro with multitasking profile to boost ram with right governer and io schedular..... trust me you will become a very happy man.... ps. if have any problem with bloatware just remove it...
