Let me begin with stating my admiration for all devs. I can't do it. I have neither the knowledge nor the patience.
That being said, it seems all the new ROMs have to have three or more ROMs combined. Sometimes bigger is not better.
I would love to see an updated pure AOKP ROM for our device. We haven't had one since DAGr8 left for the Note II. AOKPs Ribbons are kick ass! I like them much better than PIE. You can set the ribbons to stay open and they don't disappear as soon as you lift your finger......and the long swipe to open the app drawer is great.

I like this ROM is super fast and never i got a single problem with that is like pure AOKP with some love
Been on Carbon for close to 24 hours without a single glitch. Not the first random reboot. Data reception has been perfect.
The more I use the ribbons, the better I like them! Has just the right amount of customization without being confusing to this old man.

+1 the ribbons are great I don't really like pie I think these are better less complicated serves the same purpose no issues other then the ones i mentioned but when I woke up it fixed it self. think its a keeper as well

It gives me the long swipe to open the app drawer and Steven Spears says there should be a nightlie either tonight or tomorrow that gives the ability to ad toggles to the ribbons. Now, if we can talk Jamie into maintaining this ROM....it will be perfect!!!!

On anther note you are like a rom bloodhound just sniffing them out, gotta say I've learned to keep an eye on you because your always one step ahead of the game.

I realize in my own testing that Wifi tether FCs as well as selecting volume from sound settings.. For now use root file manager to delete Wifi Tether and re-install or use stock Tether app. As for Volume just use your volume buttons lol. Both will be fixed in the next release
Sounds good. Neither should be a problem for me as I always use my volume buttons and I don't tether. thanks for the heads up though!

I like to see AOSP. Very exciting to see more developing with it.
Its kind of a blend of cm7 and Team Xrons. I took what I liked out if both of them while trying to maintain as much stock aosp as possible eg. no adw. I am working on a Miui port and also may be close to nailing down what's causing the Bluetooth problem. I could use help with that actually. Hopefully this is the first of many to come as I learn more and more. Also expect a custom kernel from me soon!

Pretty much the Golden Rule behind ROM development is to never ever ask for a release date. Those kind of questions annoy the crap outta devs, and it serves no purpose. The devs themselves probably don't know when to expect a release. It all depends on how many issues they have.
Not to be stern, but just telling you that you're not going to get an answer on that question.

Not sure what build you are running, but ICS has been fully working for some time. People REALLY need to stop saying it isn't fully working because a useless camera doesn't turn on (As it is, there is a difference between the *OS* not working, and a piece of hardware not having drivers.. this is the latter). *double facepalm*

One thing I saw was that I couldn't mount my storage to my PC or it would hot reboot or just not mount at all. I haven't tried it on aokp yet though.

Yea, it was clean flashed. Ok i just tried it again on AOKP JB and it mounted just fine. Maybe it was just my build?

I'm on a build from 2 nights ago but the sound profile seems finicky. Like it will show the icon n status bar that its on silent. But a notification will sound, then I can use the volume hardware buttons and see that the ringers way up, but if I turn it back down and LA with it a bit it gets right.
Also, with the play store when I am doing what I call rapid fire downloading, which is scrolling through "my apps" and installing one after the other, is rare but after about 12 apps sometimes the play store will just force close to the home screen. But then I can open it and it loads up fresh and works fine.

Not until you just mentioned it. I think it's a pretty silly gimmick and I never notice it unless I'm looking for it. I can confirm though.
Was listening to BT music and placed a call ( with phone not bluetooth ) was done with the call the audio played from phone and not from BT.
Going to start a ROM bounty here.
Plain and simple i love the idea of the ROM and would like to see a stable build for us.
Bounty will be played upon dev completing a stable build with no major bugs (ie. cell/data/3g,late working/MMS,GPS etc)
I know this can be done and would love to do it if i had the skill sets or the time.

They can flame all they want. Doesn't bother me. I'd like to see some new stuff in the community and am willing to fork out some money to see it. There may or may not be others that feel the same way but hey that's their opinion.

Yeah I've tries it as well as a few other ppl here phone FCS along with contact storage.
I manages to get data working with some edits but no one can get cell service ie. Phone calls to work even when using an alternate dialer like exdialer. Simply says dialing and never goes through.
I also tried the porting tool same issues

You are amazing, thanks for the updates.
I used the first build for two days. I installed this one this morning.
Other than the sound issue, it is rock solid. Good data signal, MMS works, good GPS lock. I don't use Bluetooth so I can't speak to that.

Yes! Phone calls can be heard and still no system sound confirmed. I got a phone call right after flash..works. Feels a little more snappier and more responsive. Not bad.
Was able to archive root with first version and superuser 1.5 but can't seem too with newest verision. Tried superuser beta 2 and still no go.
Other than that, ROM seems fine, thanks Jamie.

Go to settings>superuser>settings and insure apps and adb are enabled. There is also a setting under developers options for this.

Double post. Weird!
Been trying second release and I have had zero problems other than sound. I'm really impressed.
Though test scores are low, real life speed seems fine and the ROM is smooth.
