[OFFICIAL][MOD] ViPER4Android (V4A) Audio Effects - FX v2206 & XHIFI v2009 - Nexus 10 Themes and Apps

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
This is just a link to this Audio Mod to let people know of it's existence and that it is compatible with the N10. I have used it and I think it is fantastic. Not only is it a very powerful audio tweaking and improvement app it also allows the onboard speakers to gain more volume across the board and not just app specific.
I am just a normal end user so don't bother asking me any questions here, lol.
I just saw this line in the thread "To volunteers, feel free to share V4A in your respective device's forum or anywhere applicable. Link them to download here. Thanks." and I was so impressed with the mod I felt moved to do so.

Amazing audio mod. Had to set it to compatibility mode and everything sounds louder, clearer, and cleaner. (with some fine tuning)

Yep, I am really impressed with it.
It works better than any others I have tried.

@stonebear,
Nice work to share in the N10 forum..

For certain players if it still does not work in Compatibility mode, switch it to Safe mode and without a doubt it should work.
Don't understand it but it works.

Is it safe to use?
LE I mean in the long term for the speakers

As with any audio mod, or mods in general for that matter, you experiment at your own risk. I'm not saying that using this is "dangerous" by any means, but everyone knows higher volume and bass can cause damage if you're not careful. However, it should be common sense to determine how loud is too loud for your external speakers to handle.
99% of the time I use a good pair of studio quality headphones with my tablet for any music or videos so its not an issue for me.

Just wondering how you set this up?
I installed the FX version, installed the APK, chose A9/15 with neon. When I go into driver status, even after reboot it says:
Neon enabled: Yes
Enabled: No
Status: Normal
Processing:No
I can tell it's doing something when I'm listening to a song and flip the equalizer on and off, not sure if that's it though.

What is the difference between fx and HiFi? Do u need them both or should you only use one at a time. Sorry to sound so novice but its kind of overwhelming. I'm using fx right now....

Simple. You can install both. Freeze either one of them using titanium or run both together.

Can anybody confirm what your "Music Effects" button in options SHOULD do? I click it and instead of letting me select, like on my phone, I get this.

Which is correct for the Nexus 10? Or is it already working if its installed and the apps say "Enabled"?

Uninstall/freeze it using tb. Take FX then download IR files. No wrong.

With any audio playing app you must always disable the apps audio features such as built in equalizers. With MX Player: Settings->Audio and un-check Volume Boost. That is how my MX Player audio settings are and it works perfectly with V4A.

I don't believe those settings are where your problem resides but here are my settings anyway.
Settings->Decoder
- All HW items check except "HW+ decoder (10 bit)"
- No software or any other items checked on the Decoder settings panel
Settings->Audio
- The only settings that are checked are the two Fade settings and System volume panel
My last suggestion is to go the main V4A XDA thread and search on MX Player. That is how I confirmed which settings you need to make V4A and MX Player compatible.

Hey thanks for your reply. Kindly find the attached images. Those settings I'm using. Are u using custom codec?

I'm not using a custom codec right now but have used the DTS one and V4A still worked. Just been too lazy to update the DTS codec. I use almost all the HW options versus your settings.

poweramp no doubt. it's tried and true. also, the audio-tweaking options are unmatched.
for player pro, you have to install a dsp package...i don't know about you, but the less i have to install, the better. poweramp is the all inclusive package that makes your music sound many times better.
When it comes to sound quality, I think PowerAmp is the best by far. On the other hand, n7player has a GUI more pleasing to the eye. And also, there is the price, but if You want to enjoy the music in its fullest I say go with PowerAmp. I use it myself and just love it.

No you don't. PlayerPro comes with an EQ like PowerAmp, but you can add the DSP package if you want to. IMO PowerAmp is all flash and bling with OK audio, while PlayerPro concentrates on being easy to navigate and deliver great sound. Like PowerAmp you can tweak the audio exactly like you want it and the DSP addon only allows you to push it a little further.
But between PowerAmp and N7? PowerAmp aaaall the way.
I know it's not listed but for the audiophile there can be only one player: Neutron Music Player.
Really just try it. Better than poweramp

PlayerPro FTW! For me the best music player, i tried PowerAmp but i dont like its UI, PlayerPro is much easier to use.
now Poweramp is the best audio player for android device but for the best quality of sounds you should use some other thinks like audiobeats or scripts to get better voice
How awesome wouldn't it be if somebody resourceful made a meticulous blind test using different Android music playback options on a high end system!
Personally I find minimal difference in image, width and dynamics between different player apps; voodoo sound is what makes real impact in my ears.

Well the dsp engine in neutron mp really shines. It also features enhanced audio interpolation methods (1GHz+ CPU required for best quality) and Ambiophonics R.A.C.R. DSP. Try it people!

Fantastic sound can be had from the 10 band EQ, and it has decent presets. The UI is gorgeous and its very simple to manipulate, even when you're on the go. It plays everything i throw at it, and i can change tags/artwork from within the app... the list goes on
Been using PowerAMP for about 2 years now, and it's still the best

Power amp looks better, neutron sounds better.
It has an option for 64bit decoding, its a real audiophiles player.
Read the blurb on the play store.
The dev is really quick to solve any issues too, I was emailing him back and forth when JB was first ported to the S3 about partitions and the path to internal and external storage and he sent me a few test apks. Cool guy.

Power amp is the best, but I use google player, the ram is more challenging, but the power amp is the best adapted to a setting and effects.
Stock player in JellyBean XXDLIB is good with siyah Kernel, you don't need any other player, but the only thing that sucked is that M4a music files downloaded from itunes are not supported in stock XXDLIB Music player.so...
Best Music Player
For me its TTPOD International version pleaseant to my ears using hip-hop eq. im planning to try the other players that are posted here
The best music player for Galaxy S3..? Hmm...
It would depend what device will you use for listening, but...
In general, if you will use STOCK music player, BUT if you'd connect it via this device you should be more or less happy...
Of course, if I'd be you, I'd expand it a little with for example This small add-on
I know that it has some weaknesses, but you know, I looked for something cheap
I've purchased neutron and it does sound better than poweramp.
I hear more instruments, tones I haven't heard before.
All the settings are still confusing, but it already sounds better in default.
I'll still give jet audio and player pro a go sometime soon.
Thanks for the help guys.

[MOD][PORT][UNIQUE][05/28] KingBeatZ Audio - 3.0.9 Linaro/GCC 4.9

The phenomenal KingBeatZ audio mod from aznrice2k4 works with Nexus 10! Compatible with Stock, AOSP, and AOKP ROMS.
100% Compiled with Linaro for superior performance!
Versions 3.0.9 recommended, but 3.0.3, 3.0.4, 3.0.6, and 3.0.8 are confirmed working as well.
This is a heavily modified BEATS Audio mod that can also boost volume above stock level, has extra preset equalizer settings, and increases sound clarity. No placebo/emulated effects unlike other mods. Info (follow the instructions for the Nexus 7) can be found HERE
All credit belongs to aznrice2k4 but any issues that you may have (albeit highly unlikely) after following the instructions correctly should be posted here. I have successfully used this on many devices and also in my ROMs for the OG RAZR.
Unique or Acoustic Equalizer settings have been found to have the best sound. Loudness setting will boost volume, use with care to prevent damage to headphones, ears, etc. Other than that, use what sounds good to you!
Enjoy!

DFX Music Player

Hello to everyone.
I've been using DFX Sound enhancer on PC from long time ago and I love it. Soon I saw that they've released a player for Android phones and god it's it fine, the sound is perfect. But ofcourse, it has his bad side. Everytime I listen to music and I open a app or I recive a notification the music "stops" for a fraction of a secound. I use a XperiaJ, maybe the app isn't made for low specs phones. Somebody tried it? It feels the same?
Here's the app.

DAC enabler for all players. anybody tried it?

This app was written for the V10, but I'm wondering if anybody has tried it on their V30?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phascinate.lgv10.dacfix
This is old and was only for the Lollipop version of the V10. Back then LG only enabled the DAC for certain apps, while there was a bypass with voicemail if I recall correctly. However due to complaints or whatever LG made it so all apps use DAC when it is enabled now, so there is no point to get this.

Yep Jet audio HD allows for some great plugins. Gives user immense control of how audio sounds. I own most of the plugins.
The USB audio player app if you ever want to use a DAC. Interface sucks though.
For a free player I would recommend Sony Music app port. My favorite music player. EQ stuff don't work on ports but still the best player around!

You didn't say when you can and cannot use the Sabre DAC in the system. What is good about it and what is horrible. You also fail to mention that the MQA playback ability really does not work and all 44.1khz CD quality PCM is upconverted to 48khz with awful artifacts. You also should mention that the only way to play DSD on this device is to use the very basic stock LG Music Player

I'm not exactly sure what that person was saying most of the time in that post so sorry.
USB player pro plays my DSD 2.8MHz files. So does that new HiBimusic app.
It also shows that it was paying back at 176400HZ, so I don't see a DAC limitation of just 44k or 48.1k.
The point is that the DAC now works with 3rd party apps, not just the native LG music app.

The point is that the DAC now works with 3rd party apps, not just the native LG music app.

Thank you.
Have I been reading things incorrectly? Does the DAC not already work with 3rd party apps?
