Does someone have the stock battery level readings?
I apparently erased the original settings when I Undervolted.

Turning phone on with power button shows battery charging symbol, but won't boot....

Hello! I am trying to sell my old fascinate, but when I picked it up for the first time in a while, I noticed a problem. Whenever I try to turn it on with the power button it will show the grey battery symbol with the spinning circle in it and will not show "Samsung" to boot. The only way it boots normally is if I plug it into a charger; the grey battery turns into a battery with a green bar indicating that it is charging and from there I am able to hold down the power button to boot up the phone. I thought maybe the battery was dead, so I left it on the charger overnight and woke up this morning and tried it again, but still the same outcome. I've already tried reloading stock eh03 and I've also tried a different battery. Still nothing. Anyone ever have this problem?

I've been trying to figure this out for days. Still haven't the slightest idea. I upped the minimum clock and it hasn't happened today, so o guess that's progress. It's at 200 MHz.

Setting the minimum clock frequency to 200 MHz instead of 100 MHz has me without incident for 2 days. I don't know if it's getting hung up at 100 MHz or what.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2
Some phones don't like the 100mhz step. Others require a higher (or sometimes lower) voltage to maintain stability on a step. Its all a lot of trial and error and getting a feel for how your particular SoC behaves.

What do you use to change the clocks?

Voltage control works on touchwiz (and maybe all roms). nstools if you are on ics or another aosp rom.
If you changes voltage do it in small increments (25mv single steps). If you need to overvolt try to use the lowest voltage that is stable. For undervolting don't push it down too far as any potential battery savings are negligible. Just go for stability.

Will try this and post the outcome later. Thanks!

So I bumped my 200 MHz step voltage to 1025 and disabled the 100 MHz step. My governor is lagfree. I haven't had any reboots or battery screen problems for over 2 days. Woo!

Congrats! =)
Just had a reboot today. I have no idea what is causing this.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2
Assuming you've done everything correctly, you might just have a flakey (more sensitive) SoC. It kind of sucks but 1 reboot over 3 days isn't terrible.
Some other things for you to try:
A different scheduler
Be sure deep idle is set to OFF
Play with a mild Live OC. The phone might be happier that way. Then again, it might piss it off. =)
Post a logcat in the glitch thread.
Can't figure it out. I mean, this was happening when it was stock too, so I think it's an issue with the phone. I messaged someone who had this problem previously, and he came to the conclusion that it was a RAM error. I'd have to agree with that. I was watching a video yesterday and it just tweaked out, artifacts all over the screen, then it just rebooted to the flashing battery screen.
I'm sick of it. Returning the phone Monday and getting something else :/ Shame, I liked the Fascinate.

I had one before but I had to sell it to help pay for a new car. I'm going with the Xperia play for now until my upgrade in December.

How many battery cycles have you been through? Try to reset the fuel gage chip in extweaks app
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
i know people like siyah and stuff, but for me its far more headachs.... flash a stock kernel and see if your freezes go away.
removing battery does drops battery percent its normal for S2
Hello again,
Tried to reset fail gauge, and then after a 100% charge to reset battery stats...
Can you give me more suggestions then flashing a stock kernel?

Get bbs and cpu spy from play store to see wakelock and if it deep sleeps
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
Guy is having hangups, what good will resetting fuel gauge do?
OP
change the ROM or change the kernel. Simple!
Cpu spy is showing 12 hours of deep sleep (50% of total), is it ok?

Have u tried wiping the battery stats in recovery mode?

[Q] Crazy battery drainage on ICS xt:910

So GSM Razr on the Soak test ICS 4.0.4 (just pushed out yesterday) and my battery lasts about 2 hours. The phone is rooted etc, but nothing was messed around with. In the Battery page of the settings menu, it shows that "Media" uses between 55%-70% of battery........
Any help to solve this would be amazing!
Factory reset, then battery calibration. I flashed the eu australian ics yesterday and after 14 hour usage on 3g network, 70%+ remanining.. not used so much the phone but i think that was not bad.

Change CPU governor to hotplug.
I had battery drain issue after i updated to AsiaICS. All solved after I changed the governor to hotplug.

Both of the above. Change to hotplug and factory reset.

Android system using 60% battery

Under bbs I get connectivity service with high wakelocks and under usage I get android system at 60%+. Running stock debloated and deodexed with unsecure kernel. Anyone else with the issue ?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
Mines at 46% so not sure what your phones doing. As you multitasking on it? This makes the cpu work harder so it consumes more battery. Also could be your brightness effecting it. The DNA has the most powerful screen for android so with that it uses a lot more power to keep it lit. Keep it on low brightness (~25%) and see if this drops the percentage of your usage.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Mines 20% so I don't know what's wrong with yours
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Sounds like something is wrong. It's always hard pinpointing it when it just says android system. If it were me I would just backup anything essential with tibu and wipe. I've had phones do that before and wiping data fixed it.
Sent from my Limited Edition HTC6435LVW 00649
It was just wiped and returned to a debloated stock. Down to 43% now. I've been on it a lot tonight. But still, screen should be at the top. I will keep an eye on it the rest of the night and see what I can do to get it back down. I'm trying not to have to wipe as I just got it redone. Battery stats maybe?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
I think display is included under android system because mine doesn't show display like it did on my dinc2
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
That"s alot.
It looks like android system includes all major functions as well as screen. Makes sense I suppose.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
Mine started doing this today too. For the past few days I never saw it above 40%, usually always 20% or lower. Today it's at 60% and up for no reason. I don't think I've done anything to it that I can remember. No new app installs or anything.
Have you tried factory reset or stats reset to pin point the problem? I'm guessing that is a rogue app running in the background.

it's an issue in the kernel. need a custom kernel to fix it.

Low battery life while using supernexus 2 4.2.2 on my galaxy s3

Hi folks. I recently flashed to this ROM for the nexus 4 experience. Its really fast but I have noticed an issue. The backlight takes a lot of time to adjust brightness as power ambient light conditions.
Also the battery life is quite low. I live 40 away from work and I lose about 9% battery buy the time I teach work every morning without even touching it.
CPU governor is pegasusq while I/O scheduler is bfq. What can I do to get more battery life without compromising Performance?
Cheers

Most AOSP based rom have battery drain issues. Usually Android OS have a high percentage in battery usage stats. No fix as far as i know.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
As mentioned earlier, AOSP might be the problem, whereas you could also check with BetterBatteryStats what exactly is consuming most of your battery load. Maybe you will identify a problem that can be fixed.
Thanks for help guys. Will check it out.
