I've rooted my tablet a month ago just for the sixaxis controller feature and ever since I did that I've been getting poor performance on my device. My tablet will boot up very slow at times and some of the apps that came with the device with crash. I want these issues to be resolved, so does anyone know how to fix this or does anyone know any good roms that I should download to help. Thanks you in advance.:crying
Which rom are you using? Which boot loader do you have?

I just got mines 3 days ago. I know the pros and cons of rooting since I have my Evo rooted( see my signature ) . Should root my Prime or not ? I am I missing much ? The thing is, I know how time consuming can be. Or can I just root and dont flash roms , just to get superuser and Titanium back up and such ?

Rooting was actually very easy thanks to these guys...

But as far as I know you can't install new ROM's just yet. But for running apps that require root such as TB, it works great.
I"d broke up my GPS. I was playing with gpsconfig.xml and gpsconfig and now I can't use my gps. GPS status icon is not blinking while searching for fix, it's empty. Can u help?

In other words , it's working the same as before you started messing around with GPS configs ! Don't fret, your only suppose to have broken GPS in the first place !
Before that it worked fine. Not perfect but I could see 10 sats

Why were you playing with these if your GPS was ok?
i dont even get a blinking gps icon, only when i put a piece of wire on the gps pogo
You replace the modded files with the original backup files you made If you didnt do that - i guess factory reset.

You dont need a factory reset. If you know how to use adb just push the file located within the zip to you're tablet and reboot.
I was playing with that because everthing was ok on HC, after upgradeing to ICS ver. 11 It was a bit crappy but still could get fix. After .14 I saw only 2-3 sats with no fix at all. That's why I've started to play with it....

No doubt, amazes me people mess with system files and don't make backups of them FIRST

Or, don't even need to use cumbersome ADB, just download files to tablet, copy the files over and set permissions with something like Root Explorer.
It works !! Thanks !!

I know GPS works. But it works as 3.2 and .11 or worse as .14?
If it is working well again, can you please share the files make it is working?
I have the similar issue as you had, worked good on .11 and no GPS at all on .14.
Thanks.
I have the same problem...worked until i upgraded to .14. Now nothing...

Oh well i will search more then, cause i thought that stock jelly bean couldnt be rooted, if i can what software should i use? Thks
No root to date. Had you rooted it prior and usd some rootkeeper tools you might still have root now.
Im sure there will be something out in due time.
yeah thought so, thks
My Asus Transformer prime TF201 is rebooting after every 30 mins on JB update. I am sick of it. !!!
Any way to roll back to ICS ? or solution on this?
I've heard that if you do a factory reset it should help that. Sucks but it might be one way. As fas as I know u need unlocked boot loader and the right files to be able to go back k to ICS. I'm on JB and rolling smooth.

My TF201 has also been rebooting regularly since I upgraded to Jelly Bean. It usually happens when no other activity is taking place. I have seen other posts that say that the hard reset does not fix the problem. Has anyone gotten through to ASUS? I have called and emailed them to no avail so far.
I also have had this problem after upgrading. Not found a solution to it.

You saw this in titanium backup yes ?
It is normal. You can either restore your old one or keep the new one.
They suggest restoring the old one for max compatibility with bought play store apps but I never have any trouble both ways.
hi,
yes i had this message after restoring with TB. It is the first time. I already used it and i never had this message before.
I cant restore the old ID cause i am not a "registered" user.... Is there another way to restore this ID?

I too installed HB 2.2. No problems at all. It feels more stable and is easier to use then previous versoins of JB or ICS. Thanks to all the folks who made it possible. I especially liked the "reverse axis" option (since I have one of those digitizers). Cheers, guys!
