I have a i9100 that work but after water immersion usb don't work and don't want charge.
I have checked and changed the u504 (maxim http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649278) but when I'm changing have lost 1 restistor and 1 cap. I have found some information but you can confirm?

many thanks for your support
someone know what is the q500 (0505-002388) (FET-SILICON)?
thanks again I hope to resolve this problem on my phone.
Thanks again for your help

SGS2 service manuals attached (with thanks to TheUnderling). Rest is up to you.

thanks for your reply. All the info that you have read are from service manual but I can't go ahead if not have confirm of part description. In service manual have only part number or I'm wrog?
thanks again

You have admitted that changing individual components is not easy (damage to two other parts while replacing one) the fact of the matter is that all the components on that board are micro sized and surface mounted....aka...really difficult to successfully replace....you could end up paying a small fortune to get that board working again.....
Why not just "cut your losses" and buy the entire board from somewhere like ebay for what amounts to small pocket change.
But be advised....there are 3 versions of this module available. ...rev 2.2, rev 2.3 and rev 2.4
You have to match the module in your phone or it STILL won't work...

thanks for your reply.
I have not damaged have lost because I have removed them for having a better management but me they are falled to earth and not them meeting
It's very difficult find to a good price the low price that I've found is 100€. rev are for all country? I can change with a motherboard of other country without problem? if someone can help with a good price or with components I will be very happy. Thanks keithross39!

The "rev" version is dependent on how old the phone is.....it's not country specific as the voltage available at the charger output is USB standard. ....
Take a look at this thread. ....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265091
it'll show you where to find the right version number.
When I replaced the board, I got my replacement from ebay for £6 gbp (7-8 €?) So it's really not that expensive to do......
Edit....it's the USB charger board, NOT the motherboard that you need to search ebay for.....

I have already change (probably have a different version you're right) but with service manual I've check and the cap near the u504 have 5v so should be ok or not?
I need to replace the res and cap anyway... someone have info about this? Thank you very much all

You're welcome re: the service manuals, btw.

thanks but in service manual have only the number of part, no description about cap and res value. :crying:

you can find 100% Genuine ZTE Blade Front Fascia + digitizer screen in HERE
Dealsextreme.com
I think this will help you. if it does please THANK me.
Sent from my Blade
Helo.
My gf has ZTE blade, suddenly she wakes up one morning and the digitizer looks like spider net (as ussually noone did that, right...). So this wouldn't be a problem, im IT fan, so the order of new digitizer after a few informations flew to me was placed and the digitize came, even with the tools to replace - it is this one:
ebay
I replaced it and all fitted together, everything was cool, BUT! (here it is, when the trouble starts)
It doesn't recognize touches.
So after the whole summer I had some time to do a little research and found this post in forum on DX site, where they sell the digitizers:
Not valid for ZTE Blade (European) -> Hi all.
I've bought and installed this touch screen. The phone don't recognize it. It doesn't work.
The chip is diferent than the original. The chip's mark of the original screen is synaptics. Although in the screen is printed ZTE like the original.
I suspect that this model is incompatible with the european phone at least.

So does anyone know, how to find the correct model? As everyone, I dont want to spend extra money for something not working with my model.
The model of the phone is this one, so with the TFT screen, not the OLED. already rooted.
Can the problem be caused by the phone beiing rooted? I dont believe that.
Thanks all, xda has always been my best hope in unsolvable problems:cyclops:
Try a more recent rom, like Cyanogen 7.2, I think they changed the digitizer in later models.

There is ICS with CM i think, so it's one of the latest. Are there any other suggestions please? Don't tell me,that XDA won't come up with something
you need to find out exactly what chipset it is & if there is a driver in the kernel for it. if it's a standard blade touchscreen (there have been a few different versions) then it should work in recent cm7 or cm9 & most roms based on those. if there is a working kernel driver for the digitizer, then either your new digitizer doesn't work, there is some other fault on the phone, or you connected it wrong.

so the problem sits at the same stage at the time. another birthsday is coming, im playing with a thought to buy a new phone instead - do you think blade 2/3 is worth it? is it equal to this first model comparing price/user output? im aware of the topic non related to the section, but it is still solving the initial problem

They're pretty good phones for the price but they have basically have no dev support and they are after all Chinese phones. Its better to go for a renowned company
the zte blade digitizers have run out for quite some time now!

Customizing inner hardware

So, because of this sh*it,
my Prime is unusable. It just sits there. I wondered, if I could customize its hardware. Replace its mainboard and etc. So that I can reuse it and use the OS that I want without dealing ASUS' non-sense. Because it is unlocked it is out of warranty. And I do not want to spend 250 eur/usd (I read somewhere that they chage so much for a new mainboard) and again have the same problems.
I just wonder, if it is possible to find fitting mainboards, hdd's and/or cpu's? Probably they are all customized for the product, but may be there is a way?
thanks

You can find mainboards online but I doubt you'll be able to solder a Tegra 3 CPU.
Also, the Prime doesn't have a HDD. It has NAND flash.
no. you can only replace the motherboard with a working one
When you say "unusable" do you mean it won't turn on? It turns on but won't boot? Or just poor performance? If it's that latter then root and/or unlock and either do a custom ROM or do the stock ROM tweaks in the stock ROM performance thread. I can tell you the stock ROM tweaks work wonders. Right now I'm updating about 10 apps and surfing the net with no lag what-so-ever.

I don't know what I missed, since I had jb bootloader already, I couldn't install NVflash and without NVflash I cannot overcome this problem.
And, I didn't understand what you meant with "working" since I wanted to replace the older mainboard with a working one. Did you mean with a board that only works for that case?
thx
I mean that your motherboard is useless. You can replace it with a working one. And only one kind oа motherboard is suitable - the exact one that you have

Just solder in a Core i7 Extreme Edition, then solder in 16gb of RAM, solder in a 256gb msata SSD and you'll basically have yourself a new Asus Transformer Book running full Windows 8 (though you'll have to solder in Windows 8 too). One thing's for sure, you'll have some 1337 soldering skillz after all that. I'd solder in some G's too (4 to be exact) but that's just me (some people don't like the extra bill).
Ill give you Eur 100 for your device

How to switch my Note II guts

Hi again!
I have my Note II which unfortunately took the 4.3 OTA update so I guess it's a done deal until they find a way around it.
My question is, I have my first Note II which was dropped and broken the 2nd day I owned it by a clumsy friend. Thankfully I had insurance on it and I told them I lost it so I could keep the broken one for spare parts.
Is there a way I can switch the guts and then switch the IMEI, MIN or serial number so I can root the old one which never took ANY updates whatsoever?
I know if works, it's just got a cracked screen.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and compensated. I'm hoping I can do this because once I get his back working, I am rooting it and loading a custom ROM immediately and locking it down to prevent any future updates,
Thanks

Sweet! Thanks for the info. So the IMEI is embedded in the logic board so I don't have to tear the whole thing apart?

Correct. If you want to for further satisfaction you can take a heat gun or a hair dryer to the sticker on your old device and mover it over to the new frame so that the nbers match.

Ok, I reviewed the dissasembly proceedure, but I only see a single motherboard? Is there a separate board, module or chip that holds the IMEI? I have to transplant the identity of the working unit to the old one but keep the old part that hasn't taken the 4.3 update? Is that possible or do I need to wipe the IMEI and rewrite it by some method?
Did I miss something??
Thanks again.

Your IMEI is stored in your flash storage you just need to move the logic board over and plug all the connectors in and your good to go.

Ok what is the "Logic Board"? Is that the main motherboard in the unit or is it a daughter or sub board? I need to use the old units system board that hasn't been updated to 4.3, but transfer the IMEI from the working unit to the old system board.
The problem w
here is I don't know where all the data is stored. Where is the firmware stored? Where is the IMEI stored? Are these two separate boards? If not, I need to electonically copy the IMEI infor from the new phone which is working and has been updated to 4.3 and copy it to the old board so that I have the existing identity in the old units system board and then swap that to the new phone with the good screen.
I'm probably making this worse since I don't know what the correct terminology is and where the firmware and IMEI data is stored.
Phone A is working, good screen but has been OTA updated to 4.3 firmware
Phone B is working, broken screen, but has NOT been updated since manufacture.
Need to make one phone with good screen, Phone A's IMEI or identity and Phone B's non firmware updated circuitry. I can't use the identity of Phone B as it was replaced under insurance as lost. I just reported it lost instead of broken so i could keep it for spare parts. It cost me more in co pay, but at this point, it was worth it as I have a phone I will be able to root and ROM!
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks for your help.

Ill make it simple
Logic Board = Motherboard
IMEI is stored on a chip on your logic board this is all soldered together you dont touch a damn thing on the logic board.
Move the logic board from the one with the cracked screen into the one with the good screen reconnect the lcd and camera and so and your done.

Ok that's what I was looking for. I owe everyone a beer!
Now, how do I copy the IMEI from the working one and then put it in the replacement motherboard? I have 4.3 firmware on the working unit so I don't think I can root it, so is there a way to make a backup of the IMEI and or EFS partition or whatever I need to change the old unit's identity?
I CANNOT use the old unit's IMEI because it was reported as lost and was supposed to be returned to the insurance company. I just need to switch their identities. I can handle the hardware swap and I'm pretty sure I can handle the IMEI swap if it's possible and I can get some directions.
Thanks again and I need to know how to buy all involved a beer or two!

I may be wrong but I don't believe XDA will allow that to be discussed on here due to potential fraud issues (and I believe IMEI porting may be "illegal").

Ok so I'm screwed? I paid a lot of money for this bloody phone and Verizon hosed it up with their damm updates. All I want to do is make the broken one work. Is it possible someone can help me? If you want to do it privately, be assured I will not use it for anything illegal and I will not give the information out to anyone. If it's possible to back up the IMEI info when rooting and installing a custom, ROM, wouldn't that be the same thing? PLEASE HELP ME!
Please advise as I am desperate to get my phone working properly again. Otherwise, I will have to buy a new one and I don't have that kind of money to waste! I'd rather make a donation here!

Esn/Imei swapping is highly illegal. Not only does it void your contract but if they catch you doing it they might say you were trying to get away with fraud.. on that note I'll on you some info.

Switch circuit board(not lcd/digitizer) bw S2's?

I destroyed my lcd screen on a ntelos sch-r760, I tested switching my circuit board(not sure of the correct term) on a friends r760, powered up and looked exactly like mine(pin, icons, contacts, apps, texts) but I didnt try calling though, internet worked also. So, does that mean I can buy a used one even if the esn is bad, does it even matter which carrier as long as it's a r760 model? It seems the little circuit board that allows the sm card holds the brains of the phone? Thanks for any help/insight, let me know if you need more info.
As long as it's the same model it should be fine. Might take you a while to source a board though, very few people on here have this phone, I can't imagine spare parts would be as plentiful for, say, the I9100.
You could try looking on
parts4repair.com
You might get lucky......
Sent from my Markox/Gustavo_s powered KitKatted S2
As long as that little circuit board holds the brains, I'm thinking about finding a used r760 on ebay or cl, even if it has a bad meid/esn or different carrier, as long as it holds a charge and lcd works. Then just swap the circuit boards instead of repairing mine. MistahBungle, you're saying my thought process should work? Thanks again
