U won't get any proper help unless u provide more details.
Details like what rom u were on, whether rooted or not, how it got bricked, what all u tried and what files u used.

Broher this guide only for soft brick phones not for NAND rw corrupted phones

And the only way to 'fix' a stuffed NAND ? Replace it/the motherboard. You won't find any miraculous fix for this here or anywhere else.

Seems that every single soft brick means corrupted nand lately.
It's massive hysteria, install kies and try pc/laptops/cables/usb ports.
Repeat until june.

Exactly. Either they're not trying all the things they've been told to try (highly likely)/not doing something really obvious or small, or the phone is cactus (less likely).

Stuck at yellow triangle boot screen. Help

So my friend has been using this site for over a year rooting his HTC Desire and said I should look into rooting my S2, and because the S2 is quite a popular phone it should be an easy hack. So I obliged and downloaded Odin and used this file.\CF-Root-SGS2_ZS_OZS_KG2-v4.1-CWM4\CF-Root-SGS2_ZS_OZS_KG2-v4.1-CWM4.tar.
I put my phone into download mode, followed every step perfectly and it said the download was a success/pass. Now when I try to boot my phone back up it goes to the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 screen, with a yellow triangle with an ! in the middle. And it wont boot anymore from there.
If this is an easy fix, or if there's an easy way to do this, I apoligize I'm a phone noob. Thanks for any help.

1. make sure you're in the right forum for your device, and used the right file. What is your model number? (printed on the label under the battery)
2. where did you get that file? (CF-Root-SGS2_ZS_OZS_KG2-v4.1-CWM4)
3. did you make a note of what your original kernel version was before you began? (this may be too much to hope for)

Yikes. That thread says:
CF-Root Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
We do not have a CF-Root version of our kernel so just flash any kernel using the instructions provided in the link and flash the stock kernel back (found below). Root will remain as well as the CWM app but you will loose clockwork mod recovery.

Which is very VERY vague, and is probably why it screwed up. You can't just flash ANY kernel - it has to be one close to the one you already have. For example, if you had ICS on the phone, and flashed an older Gingerbread kernel (which the one you downloaded is version KG2, is an older Gingerbread kernel build), then the phone wouldn't boot.

If you didn't know what version you had, then there really isn't a way to recover without flashing a whole firmware.
Download an I9100M firmware from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9100M and flash that to get back to ICS. Then go back to the CF-root thread, and make sure to read the instructions in post 1. Pay particular attention to the part that says "Help! Which file do I use ?"

Only if the phone shipped with the UGKG2 build (you have one too many "k"s in there) of Android. (which isn't guaranteed).
Ok so I have that file downloaded, and I downloaded the correct file from that site. Now I'm trying to install the firmware onto my phone, but its in MD5 format, and not .TAR. I tried googling how to fix this but couldnt find anything, how would I go about changing the file so that Odin can pick it up?

Odin should pick up an md5. Mine does. Put it in the PDA box and leave everything else alone.

EDIT to add: according to this post, you can use LP7 for rooting LD3.

Boot your phone to download mode. (volume down- home - power)
Download the latest Siyah Kernel (6.05b (the tar file)).
Start ODIN on your PC.
Press the PDA-button, and add the SiyahKernel file.
Connect your phone to a USB drive while it's on download mode.
Press "Start" on ODIN.
Now, if this doesn't work, download another version of ODIN. After trying all the versions, try all those versions again on a different USB port. If you STILL can't flash it, try another computer (and all the USB ports on that). If it still doesn't work, you probably have need for service.
I did this on my phone yesterday, and ODIN 1.85 worked on (only) one of my USB ports, so by all means, start with 1.85 first.

Check under battery to be sure.
Siyah v6 is for JB mate. That's the reason things got messed up. For 4.0.4, you should have used Siyah v5.0.1.

Since u can flash successfully with Odin, simply flash the stock firmware for ur device and it should boot up without issues. I suggest u flash either 4.0.3 or 4.1.2.

Like I already mentioned, Siyah v6 is for stock JB. The OP has 4.0.4, so flashing the latest Siyah v6 will still result in bootloop.
And the other steps you mentioned are for when Odin flash fails. I don't think the OP has mentioned Odin flash failing yet. He has only told of being stuck in a bootloop.

[HELP] firmeware flash didn't work [HELP]

hey guys,
wanted to do a firmeware flash up to 4.1.2 with the following firmeware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2199288&page=1
i used the open austria version... did it as usual, but at the very end odin didn't work anymore (unkown problem occured an odin was ended)... so i tried it again for 3 times, always the same... also tried odin with version 3.07, 3.04 and 1.85
now i wanted to install the backup from cwm, but the phone doesn't join the recovery mode due to the problem, that the flash didn't work
(phone suggests to use kies air recovery....)
is there anyone who can help he ? can i still try to flash it ? if so, what should i try ? thanks in advance
Can you go to download mode?
Cause then you can re-flash a firmware. Make sure all KIES tasks are Closed! (there usually are 2 Kies tasks open, disable in taskmanager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete))

@waren: well i'll try it now -> closed 3 kies air applications and retry to flash 4.1.2
@immortal: how can i be sure that the file is not broken or corrupted ? all responses here in the forum were positiv for this firmeware's...
@gastonw: took another cable this time...
i also thought about to flash back my old software, there i know that it works for sure... is this even possible ?
well, got the same error again
it always says: odin downloader doesn't work anymore (unknow / unsolved problem...) it's always just the at the moment before it's finished...
should i try to flash the kernel first ?
UPDATE; was able to reflash old firmeware... but i can't post in the development area here to ask for the problem...
is there a way to be sure that the file ist neither broken nor corrupted before doing a flash ?
Can you get the ROM to boot?
If yes, get mobile odin (root needed), it'll check tge file before flashing.
If not, try flashing in another PC/Laptop.
Of course, all kies applications killed before flashing.
Sent from the little guy
was able to re-flash old software and do some cwm-backup... so it's like before... thanks god :fingers-crossed:
today i'll try it again with mobile odin and hope that it will work this time

Far more phones get bricked via Kies/OTA updates than via Odin. We just don't tend to hear about the former on here because it happens to 'ordinary users'.
If you want it done in 5 minutes & without dramas, use Odin.

Yes, but the main problem with Kies is it's unpredictable. Sometimes, u don't get updates, sometimes it won't connect and (like in my case) it can mess up ur phone too!
Here is an interesting thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248346
From what it seems, it looks like u have no option other than Odin. You could try re-installing Kies, rebooting ur phone and computer, or even doing a factory reset.

Odin is Samsung software. Kies is also Samsung software. Kies is a piece of s#!t.
Odin works just fine for most people almost all of the time if you make sure you know what you're doing before you use it - make sure you're using a PC with reliable USB ports, make sure whatever it is you're about to flash isn't corrupted, only flash stuff for your model phone. If you're careful/use common sense, Odin works fine. 99.9999% of problems with Odin are caused by something the user has/hasn't done, I've only ever seen <10 people who bricked their phone using Odin who were 'unlucky' in the 18 mths I've been here (out of many thousands).

[Q] GT-19100T bricked. i need urgent help please

Hi, i have a really bad situation here.
so my phone needs its firmware flashed as it no longer will boot in either recovery mode or boot in general.
so i have to correct firmware open in odin and my phone in download mode but the firmware flashing failed.
the error was "Can't open the serial(COM) port."
im unsure if it has anything to do with the fact that my phone is not in usb debugging mode although i thought that the downloading mode bypassed that?
i would really like to save my data on my phone (pictures and such) so if anyone has a way i can either flash my firmware or retrieve my data that would be wonderful.
There is a picture of my attempt at flashing my firmware attached. (i think)
and here is the firmware i used (not a link to a download): firmwaredown.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/i9100tdvlp4-android-403-ics-australia.html

Worried? Hmm.. A little.
Before I suggest anything, tell us how u messed up ur phone.
How did it get bricked?
What firmware are you on now?
Are you rooted?
As for the problem u have now, its called a NAND corruption. It may or may not be fixable.
Try these steps (all of them) first and see if you can successfully flash a rom:

as to how it bricked im unsure, yesterday my apps stopped working (like couldnt open them) and so i restarted only to get stuck on the screen that says "samsung galaxy s II GT-19100T"
ahhh anything i missed?
p.s. i might be going to sleep soonish so if i dont reply soon thats why.
and i realllllyyy appreciate your help!!
Keep trying a few more times. There must be something u haven't tried yet.
Also try flashing another firmware.
Once Odin flash succeeds, let us know.
If you can't get it to flash after a lot of trying, ur NAND could be borked. Take it to a service centre then.

Only thing I can suggest it to download a stock ROM for your region from sammobile.com (sign up required - 5 mins) then select i9100T etc and then get the latest ROM for your region, if you can compare the md5 checksum then do this. If they match, stick your phone in download mode (you can still do this yes?) and pray that it goes well.
But before you should do this, wait and see if anyone shouts at me for suggesting this since you may have NAND corruption and it would be a bad idea! You never know...
Edit: well according to post above, you can continue to flash away, so try a few different ROM's, try to compare the md5 checksums for errors during downloading, and hope.

i think my nand is borked
which sucks!
As Gaston & I were saying last week, in these instances, it's either a case of something really simple being missed/not being done (people not trying all the things suggested/saying they have but they haven't, etc) which is more likely, or the phone is genuinely borked, which is less likely (Tho it does happen).
Unless you've left something out (about what's happened to the phone, what you have/haven't done with & to it), it makes no sense for it to be 'borked' given what you've told us. I suggest you keep trying, and try with as many different PC's as you can get access to (and try all the troubleshooting steps you've been given on each PC if necessary).

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458 Or JTAG !
What's all this jtag frenzee?
Please read more about this method before you keep suggesting it.
Soon people will start throwing it to solve bootloops and we'll have a big brick-o-rama.

N00bs trying to JTAG. Can't wait to see that start happening. Seriously, if someone is incapable of doing something as simple as flash a phone, you really think they're going to be able to JTAG without permanently damaging the phone beyond repair ?
Please.
The advice should be 'Take it to someone who knows what they're doing'.
Lol they must be mistaking "riffbox" for "magic box", the box that solves it all.
