Swap my silver HTC one with the black one - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Hi I've heard people swapping their silver HTC one with the black one for 35 bucks. I have had my HTC One for about 4 weeks now and I have unlocked is bootloader and rooted it. Can I go to at&t and swap it for the black one?

No that option is only available if you are within the 14 day return policy.

Screen Cracked

Hey fellow HTC ONE X + users!
so I cracked the screen on my phone but I can still use it. I have the ATT version of the phone. I took it to a cell phone repair place but they said the two One X screens they ordered did not work. My guess is that they bought the international version. Does any know of a compatible one X screen that I can buy for the X +? So far I've had no luck. I don't want to take it to HTC bc repair costs can be really expensive. Thanks!
No one has ever confirmed that a one X screen will work on a one X +. Many suggest it will but no one has confirmed it. HTC will charge 200 to repair. I've already paid it once...

Moderator Update,
Selling like this on XDA is not allowed so I have closed the thread.

You can try htc. It is not cheap though; it cost me 200 but that was to replace the lcd and digitizer.

What would it be if it's just the glass or will they go ahead and replace it all abd just charge me 200
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium HD app
I'm not sure. They did not itemize the quote for me. I believe they do have the option to just replace one component though.

No it was through a personal cell phone repair store. Not through HTC

Well there is one thing you should know that they can not replace glass only because its attached to the touch beam and to take it a part it need hours of aganizing pain to get it of in one peace as it is a few milimeters thick sk you will have to repace all lcd and digitilisar so cheapest way like i did and it worked fine very fast and not a laggy screen go to ebay and order digitilizar and lcd it will cost you arround 70 dollars go to youtube and they will teach you how to replace screen i did this for note 2 also and it worked for lumia 800 and it worked i love you tube
I replaced the screen and digitizer on a devise a few months ago and it was not all that difficult. I did it on an I-pod (I know, traitor . I'd say give it a try yourself. I watched a few you tube videos and ordered the kit which came with the little tools to do it. Took an hour or so. Now the I-pod I found on the ground is like new.
Managed to find a screen if you are interested? Hope this helps!

HTC One as a replacement device (insurance)

My sister had the HTC One X until it was stolen, we had been paying the monthly insurance fees and we were sent the HTC One as a replacement device.
+1 AT&T.

Lucky you. I am a new comer to HTC since the sensation and its horrible battery. But this phone is super amazing.

I want to replace my One X, but I really want a black One. Think it would be possible to take the silver one I receive from insurance to a store and exchange it for a black one??

You could probably sell it and then buy a black one. You might have a to fork over an extra $50

When I got the wrong phone it said one x+ on the receipt but the price was correct for the 64 gb One that I ordered

It seems as though this is no longer the case. Friend of mine just tried doing this and they kept giving him the one X as a replacement. Hope some of you were able to take advantage.

I received an HTC One as an insurance replacement for my old HTC Titan. The website offered only the silver, but I was able to get the black that I preferred when I called. So far I'm enjoying the phone and getting used to Android.
I had massive issues with the 4 Note 2s I was sent as replacements, so they gave me a 64gb One (silver). This was through AT&T, not assurion (the insurance company)..
How were you able to deal with att instead of asurion??
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
Late reply, but once again, because I don't know where the misconception comes from:
ASSURION IS ONLY FOR LOST, STOLEN, or DAMAGED (liquid, fire, physical) PHONES. FOR WARRANTY SERVICE, YOU GO THROUGH AT&T AND IT IS FREE FOR YOUR FIRST YEAR.
Again, all caps, because I must have repeated it about 1000 times over the years.
If you have a WARRANTY issue, you call AT&T and speak to the warranty department.

What are you talking about? Its not "free" AT&T will not replace your phone.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
AT&T honors your warranty for the first year, and yes, it's free. Call the warranty department and they'll handle the exchange. Not sure what YOU'VE been doing, but I had to go through more than a few defective refurb phones in the past year, and they were ALL exchanged, free of charge, through AT&T's warranty department. No, I don't pay for insurance either.
Like I said, if it's a DEFECT, AT&T will exchange it. If it's damage, then you go through insurance.
Yes warranty service is free from AT&T.

Bought Phone recently, says not for sale on back.. questions

So I bought a htc one x + online recently.. On the back it says "not for sale", engraved into the plastic.
and above the screen on the plastic it has 8 numbers to the left of the speaker.
I can post a screenshot to prove it, but the phone is white and 32 gig, but its a one x +.
It seems this must have been a development phone?
It came with a at&t box, with matching serial, has at&t bootup animation.
Just wondering if you folks knew anything! thanks
btw the phone works perfect haha
Check the CID

Maybe it was a sample model in a store . U know the ones atached to the desk that u play with .
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
Those are all engraved on the phone.
S-Off means you have a dev device so don't worry about flashing a kernel manually and you can get supercID
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 4
It's probably a HTC dev phone, one used by HTC developers themselves. Thats why it has extra serial numbers ect, to stop people doing what they did... Robbing it and selling it on ebay lol
