Reploace Superuser with SuperSU - HTC Rezound

Anyone know how to do that?
Installed Superuser through AmonRA flashing the zip.
Thanks

I've always just installed SuperSU either by flashing through recovery, or just installing through the Play Store and then allowing SuperSU through Superuser when the prompt comes up. Then all of the SU requests go through SuperSU. I'm sure there's a better way of doing it, but I've done it on 3 devices through several ROMs that had Superuser pre-installed and it's worked for me.

Superuser binary update fail

I just flash the homebase rom on my atrix. The binary updater says my su is outdated. I try to update but it keeps failing. It says "Checking current install path... fail!" How do I fix this problem?
Try updating superuser from market.
If doesn't help check if you got root with app that required root (like Root Checker or Titanium backup), if there isn't root - root with: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255548 (Or if you want to try reflash rom)
I do have root and the old superuser works fine, but after updating the new superuser from the market, it can't find the path for some reason. I tried reinstalling root, but it failed because it said I already have superuser in my phone.
OK so uninstall it and root again.
This seems like a good place to put this, I have an HTC Wildfire S with S-OFF but after updating Superuser from the Android Market the Binary was outdated. I checked to make sure S-OFF was not now S-ON so that was ok. I then used recovery mode and installed the latest Superuser.apk with the binary from zip, found here -> megaupload.com/?d=8QI41EE3 and the problem was fixed. Hope this works for the Atrix 4G as well.

SuperSU binary "Installation Failed" Error Fix

This is the scenario that i have encountered during rooting my htc one XL for fun. But i have encountered a problem of SuperSU binary "installation failed" when trying to update the binary.
Here i am going to share the solution that have been tried out accidentically.
Premises:
Device : HTC One XL ( i think other device may also counter this problem too when they trying to root with the ZIp version SuperSU apk.
Device's bootloader is unlocked (HTC required, i dont think samsung need this step)
recovery mode Clockworkmod is installed (i think all devices need this mod in order to install apk in the sd_card)
SuperSU apk is installed in recovery mode by install app in the sd_card
Consequence:
The superSU is installed successfully in the phone, you can see the app located in the home screen.
When you try to click in the app, it prompt it requires to update some binary files of the phone. however it will just return "Installation Failed".
Your root access is not stable.
For example:
You might contain root access by using root browser (on google play)
But you couldn't "su" in the linux terminal emulator (on google play)
Also you couldn't "su" by using android shell in the android sdk tools's .adb shell
Solution:
Below is the steps i performed and it is worked.
Update the latest version SuperSU in the google play
Afterwards, it will prompt the binary update screen again
Choose the Txxx/CWB instead of Normal
My device cannot automatically boot up the recovery mode, thus i manually started the recovery mode
binary will be updated when you go in recovery mode
Importance Note:
Actually I am not success in point 5 (binary will be updated when you go in recovery mode).
It means that the binary doesn't update when SuperSU is still the latest version (updated on google store).
and if you have also encountered this circumstance. reboot in the phone again, in the latest version of SuperSU, selected update binary by Txxx/CWB, and then uninstall the latest version of SuperSU by normal apps uninstallation (you can never able to uninstall the old version SuperSU in the phone normally because its installed in the recovery mode).
Now you can boot into the Recovery mode, it will update the binary automatically, And you can grant the actual root access for your phone after reboot the phone again.
Do you think this will work for the Note 3 running 4.4.2 ? for some reason as of now on verizon note 3 there seems to be no fix for the supersu not updating binary on the new kitkat 4.4.2 im rooted using towelroot i let it update the binary once and i never opened it again to avoid it asking me to update again then failing ... so to avoid uninstall and reinstall i just let it do its magic once and never touch it again... it will update the first run but once you reboot .. youre f you also want to make sure you delete the file su in system/xbin/su then uninstall and install fresh to get this to update you binary .. but you can never open it again or it will ask to update and fail ... however all apps asking to grant permisson will be granted so apon screen pop up and your prompt to allow .... but i am however going to try this just dont know if i should choose the txxx/CWB as apose to normal
No Luck to me too.
I did what the top comment said but Super SU still says it needs to update binaries. I am using Version 2.65.

[Q] Factory Reset - Lost Root

I did a factory reset from recovery on my EVO because it wouldn't boot. Now, I seemed to have lost root access. I can still boot into custom recovery and am S-Off.
I downloaded SuperSU from the play store, and get the message (There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem) when I try to open it.
What do I need to do to regain root access?
Thanks for the help.
Play store won't help you. You need to flash supersu zip from recovery.
Google "update supersu 1.94 zip".

Thanks, then do I need to download it from the Play Store? I flashed it successfully, booted up and the one that was in my app list (from the Play Store) is now gone. Rooter Checker still shows I don't have root access.
Yes you need to reinstall the app.

Flashing that zip should have worked. I question if you were using the right zip file. Do you see it in your apps on your phone?
Here's the URL I use:
http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU
Sometimes if you run root checker too soon after booting into the ROM, it will time out while waiting for permission from SuperSU and falsely conclude that you do not have root. If you're busy doing other stuff afterwards, you very well may have missed the popup where root checker asked for root permissions. If that's the case, when you go into SuperSU you should see root checker listed with red text, which would indicate that root checker was denied root permissions. If this is what you see, select that entry from SuperSU and change the setting from deny to grant. Rerun root checker.
If that doesn't work, please provide more information about your system?
HBoot
Recovery version
ROM
HTC Dev unlocked?
S-off method?
if you run or install TWRP custom recovery it will flash supersu for you when you run it.

TWRP Custom Recovery doesnt install Super SU properly

Hey, i installed twrp and flashed the supersu.zip directory. but then when i press reboot, another screen comes up saying to install supersu, but it is never allowed to finish in time as the phone reboots. When i try and open supersu after rebooting it says the binaries are not installed. Its really annoying because i want to get my phone rooted badly.
Any suggestions would be amazing.
Most of the custom ROM's already have supersu inside. If you want to install a custom ROM follow these steps in the tutorial section.

Problem with CM12.1 and SuperSU

Hey,
I just flashed the CM12.1 ROM by Temasek yesterday and tried to gain root access again.
Downloaded the SuperSu 1.94 and flashed it with the recovery.
Installed SuperSU from the Play Store but as I try to open the SuperSU option in the settings, I always get this message: There is no SU binary installed. SuperSU cannot install it - You need to manually re-root.
Does anybody know how to get root again?
Thanx very much.
