Since i installed the latest uodate, my gps havn't been working my battery is diyng faster and my bravia engine 2 has turned back to the old bravia engine, have anyone had the same problems? I've installed a fresh install few times now through cmw, but my priblems are still there. have been running the other roms also but not with the kernel installed and on locked bootloader but with no problems, i think the 1.3.3 was running quiet better than the newest,

I did noticed that the BRAVIA engine also reverted to the old one not BRAVIA engine 2
Bravia won't work on unlocked bootloader. GPS should, though. Maybe you need to edit gps.conf?
JB.400 xGO Rooted, Unlocked, Debloated, Greenified
It seems that my phone wont charge also at the moment when its on?
Could be a problem with powerjb. I would ask there in the thread if stock rom has no apparent problem.

Ok, the charging problem was a connetcion fail is i tryed charging it with the cable in my ps3. The bravia problem is caused på the unlocked bootloader right. So if i lock my bootloader it shold work proberbly again, right? But what about my cwm and custom boot.img will it stay as it is? But still i think it drains my phone exstremely, and my gps is not working. I cant ask in the powerjb forum as i have not made 10 posts yet, if i could, i would.
About ur battery problems try recalibrating the battery using a battery recalibration app from playstore

Nope. Relocking bootloader won't help. You lost the DRM keys permanently when you unlocked. If you relock I suggest flashing stock ftf. Back to ICS if you want.
For the battery drain have you tried changing the cpu settings? Try different governor and scheduler. (Try hotplug-noop). 1000/200 freq.
What happens with gps by the way?

Have wipe battery data, and it runs alot better now. And the gps has started working again, so now im very satisfied about the rom again, except the i installed the choko font, and i really dont like it, but my fault, i may do a fresh install again when the 1,5 is ready.
Now you have unlocked bootloader, you can try all roms available. Install Antutu benchmark and test each one. I have had better results with GB with Munjeni´s custom Kernel but, I like how JB looks. So... try everything. I am also a GPS freak and have seen that every rom runs GPS the same way. You can change your gps.confg with some tutorials but I haven´t seen to much improvement. With your GPS just need patience. About the battery... GB gets first place to me, JB second and ICS last one. Have you tried the new Mujeni´s rom, Xtreme Secure?
I have done a new full instal with the extremesecutiy rom, qnd it really rocks! Good job munjeni.

If i unlock the bootloader and flash a custom rom do I void my official samsung warranty? What if I just root and stay on stock?
What is the wifi sharing battery drain problem on the sgs2? I've tried looking it up and no one really explains it.
Can you use the LED flash as a flashlight once you gain root?
Is there a way to change lockscreens?
Why do the custom roms always mention "browser lag fix". Is there lag on stock? I don't think I'm experiencing anything.
THANKS!
I am still running on stock and plan to do so until we get a lot more custom roms.
1 - Rooting and/or installing a custom ROM voids your warranty.
2 - Never noticed much drain myself, but I don't need it so froze it. Some custom ROMs come with it already removed.
3 - Pretty sure you don't need to be rooted, lots of flashlight apps on the market.
4 - Only wallpaper at the moment with stock, other alternatives on market. Widgetlocker is very popular.
5 - Never had any browser lag on the 4 different stock ROMs I've used. The stock browser is stable, quick and excellent, IMO.
6 - Welcome
I am not sure rooting voids warranty
About custom rom, there is often a way to rollback to an official rom.
The only thing to hide is the Odin counter that you can reset with an USB jib small device available on eBay for 6 euros.
The SGS2 does not have a locked boot loader ( I think )
Rooting may void warranty since the custom binary counter goes up but it can be reset with the USB JIG.
No the bootloader isnt locked.
I flashed one custom rom and had horrific browser lag. Had to change it. The "lag" was loss of scrolling to the extent that it would scroll a few lines on a page.
Someone over on SGS 1 was saying that seems to happen with the latest rom when it's deodexed. Dunno.
To be honest, if it wasnt that I just cant resist flashing new roms, the stock on this is excellent, and I wouldnt bother.
Which custom rom are you talking about ?
I have litening v1.5 no issues, very stable and ligth as the tittle announced
The bootloader is signed, but not secured, if that makes sense.
But yes, doing this stuff voids your warranty.
Is there any way to "relock" the bootloader like the nexus one and S? I just wanna root for flashlight LED, adfree and to take out some samsung bloatware.
Now I have wifi sharing chewing up my battery. Is there anyway to stop this process aside from freezing it with titanium?
Try these apps....

Been having a few issues with my battery life. Didn't originally plan on unlocking bootloader, rooting or any of that jazz, but really want to get this done now so that i can simply underclocck. i know that i'll have to wipe everything and start over, but i;'ve also had a few little bugs recently, i'm thinking it's probably because when i did the ics update, it didn't wipe everything like i was told i'd have to.....o soemthing maybe went wrong soemwhere. so i'm thinking that it'll go something like this?
1-backup contacts/text/pictures/video's with pcc.
2-go through the unlock bootloader process (which means going back to gingerbread?)
3-go back to official ics
4-flash custom kernel with auto rooting
5-restore contacts/text/picture/video's with pcc.
does this sound about right? and can anyone recommend the best custom kernel that will allow me to underclock to sensible values to improve battery performance.
i basically want stock ics firmware that i can use root just to underclock.

I m more or less in the same position as yours. I have tried various kernels now and can say that XSX is the only kernel that works without lag for me. It has option to use various governors and can under clock to 192 and it is the lowest you can go on this one, unfortunately. Hope it helps. Thanks.

ok, thanks.
just been though the whole process, phone is now rooted with stock uk ics, and i'm just using stock kernel and setcpu to underclock...at the moment i've got it set to min 192, max 1242 on powersave/deadline....will see how i get on with it tomorrow
So i am ion liquid ICS and i cant get gps lock---i wiped and re installed 3 times tried useing toolbox gps fix even verizions leak---anyone else having a problem.....no this is the first day this has happened i cant get any gps period
This is a problem with most asop for thunderbolt... the fix is back up your rom, install a sense rom, get gps lock, then reboot and restore your backup. Once unlocked, it looks to stay that way.

I lose all GPS on my Thunderbolt also, no matter what rom I use.
Different Rom ~
Enzo, I advise you to, since it appears you like Liquid's ROM, to install Jester's Mod (Liquidsmooth ICS JMOD). It's a separate flashable ROM. All it is is Liquid's ICS AOSP Rom, plus a couple of data tweaks, mods, special apps, and a WORKING GPS Lock.
You can find it here Hope this helps ~

I followed the link in Jester's thread, which has you flash a .zip in recovery to fix the GPS issue. Works every time.
Hey guys, I am new here and I need some help, my Xperia P have big problems, battery is draining, with 100% only take 30 minutes or less to be on 0%, and is very slow, all started when I change ICS to JB, my phone was not too fast like before, now, trying to repair that and looking to solve problems with battery time I have Unlocked Bootloader and installed a Kernel (Phanton), including the Moonbreaker Rom, and the phone is worse, very low performance and battery draining like a hell, so, I need to know, how can I fix it and how to make a new clean Rom installation without delete all my data, PLEASE Helpppppp!!
@AlbertCamus
First lets hear which firmware have you installed (link t thread) and which pjantom kernel.
I can't even imagine how the battery be drained 100% in 30 minutes, from tests I have done and 2 and a half hours HD youtube video over wifi drains the battery about 51-56%, so thats way too much.
I am using stock ROM and kernel with few tweaks and today I had about 40% drain after 21 hours and 1 hour 20 minutes of screen on time (no calls no data)
All you need is rooted stock ROM 6.2.A.1.100, and it's quite easy to do.
The data you should simply backup, backup with stock backup, export your contacts, and then if you wish you can backup with titanium backup or other.
I also keep my phone backed up with my google account.
You won't lose data on internal storage only on device memory.

I have this rom: JB MoonBreaker v3.5 ROM, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258058
And this Kernel: Phantom Kernel v 1.1.0 b Stock JB Kernel - Power Saver Edition, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43351279&postcount=201
I have to say I was having problems with battery drain before installed that Kernel and Rom, with Stock JB, but I really need to solve it, I have CWM, Root and UnlockBootloader, how can I do a clean rom installation and... do you recommend me go back to Stock JB and Stock Kernel? or what another Kernel? man I need help, this is making me crazy.
How did you upgrade from ICS to JB and what JB version is it?
If you have used PC Companion you can simply do repair to have stock back and take it from there step by step.
You can disable services you don't use, delete apps you don't use (I delete most of what comes with stock)
Than there are few tweaks like S98screenstate_scaling you can use (neets init.d support), Install Greenify to keep apps from running in background, and of course STAMINA mode help to save some more juice.
Most omportant, relax

My first update was through Flashtool, ICS to JB, later the second update JB to next firmware through PC Companion
I will try to repair with PC Companion now, hope this work about battery problems....
And yes... I will try to relax haha,
Plain stock should not me more than 20% drain for 10 hours standby time with wifi.
EDIT: I forgot PC Companion won't update lunlocked bootloader but you can still build the FTF file from PCC files after it finish d/l them and tell you it can't update, and flash it with flashtool.

I have installed JB stock through Flashtool and later Nemesis Kernel, the phone is very fast now, I will start testing battery now. Thanks a lot my friend!!

try to repaire with sus or just send it to the the service
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Neo V and it's very unusual. I will tell my whole day which this issue happened.
I was using a Custom ROM and I don't remember which one I was using. Anyway, one day I couldn't open Settings and I didn't care that much and continued using it that way. When I think that I will be mad at my phone, I made up my mind changing my ROM to PAC-ROM (JB). But in order to change to PAC-ROM, I had to unlock my bootloader. To open bootloader in official way, I type *#*#73...... thing to get the service menu. But nothing happened after I tried it 5-6 times. Maybe it was about ROM or that setting issue. I dont know. I had a backup which was made when I had the stock rom with superuser. So I restore and I could open service menu. It was saying that I could do the unlocking. Then I unlocked bootloader.
Okay, here is the when all started.
Before I tried to install PAC-ROM, i tried another one which was JB again. But I forgot to change the Kernel as well... And when I tried to install the rom, I had an error. That was when I think to install PAC-ROM. I tried that too and I had the same error! Then I realized that I didn't install a JB kernel which I had to. I had a stock ICS kernel. I found a kernel and plug my phone as a mass storage in CWM my computer froze. And then when I tried to unplug my phone from my PC my phone froze too! You know, I wiped everything to install new ROM, but when my CWM closed, I had to install Neo V's Stock Rom and then root, install CWM and a new ROM. But today I figured out that my battery doesn't drain, until my battery is %0. It says it's %0 and then my phone close. I wrote down my whole day in order to get your help guys. I searched but couldn't find a thing about my problem. Oh and there is one more thing. I installed a programme which shows your battery stats and things. The programme says the same as my phone about "battery %" but it gives the temperature and it changes when I used wifi or mobile data. What this problem can be and how can I solve this.
Thanks for your help.
Okey I solved the problem by wiping the battery stats.
