I have just installed Cyanogenmod 10.1 on my international HTC One X and whenever I try and use it a com.android.phone error message appears on the screen. This means that I can't use my phone. I have done a lot or research about fixing this problem and everyone suggests a factory reset which I have tried. This didn't work and the problem still persisted.
Does anyone else have a solution to this problem?
Many thanks

please help every time i got to file explorer i get the "problem with fexplore.exe" popup
how can i fix this??
Unfortunately it's usually a case of hard-resetting when you get that message
Have you installed a custom rom? And if so did you do a Task 29 (or similar) first before flashing? Did you hard reset after flashing the rom? Missing those steps sometimes causes that error message.
Good luck! I hope you fix it.
Ian
well i think i did solve it and didn't at the same time.
i just did start/settings/menu/allsettings/system/errorreporting and disable the error reporting and now it works but i know the problem still there somewhere
@otherworld
thanks but no i didn't flash any rom but I'm doing it tonight, the problem started when i start messing with hdwalls
G'day guys,
Just today my phone began showing "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" Then I have to hit force close. It only happens when I try to view the "Logs" in the keypad, Logs, Contacts and Favourites area. I tried a factory reset which fixed the problem but shortly after the problem came back again. It's been rooted and I'm running a stock kernel "I9100XWKE7_Kernel" I'm not sure if one of the apps I have installed is causing this problem and I haven't installed anything new lately and I've yet to flash the phone again. I've googled and searched xda for a solution but to no avail.. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
I had the same problem on my HD2 and never found an answer. I assumed that something I'd installed had messed it up and ended up flashing another ROM to get rid of the problem.
If I'd spent more time with it I would have done a factory reset and then restored my apps 1-by-1 until the culprit was found. I didn't do this though, so I can only suggest that for now and see if it helps.
I took your advice and flashed my phone with the lightning rom and it has since been working 100% with an added bonus on battery life!! Thank you John!!
OH has a Desire S and has recently undergone an OTA software update, has been ok for a while but now comes up with the above error, have googled and most say is to do with mobile/networks and to do this that and the other, but unfortunately all the network options are greyed out, is there anything she can try without having to revert to a factory reset, in which case it may/could in effect happen again..
Any help will be much appreciated.
[HELP] Camera failing with error "EVT or cal error, please change test device"
Hi. I am running my s6 edge on 5.1.1. I just noticed today that the camera is causing this error. When I used it a couple of days back, it was working perfectly fine.
The screen freezes and after some time the camera is stated as not responding. I tried clearing cache and data for the camera. I even insatalled a totally new rom, still the issue persist.
Please help me with this. Thank you.
I have a Sprint Note 3 and I am having the dreaded "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped" problem.
I tried every single fix I found online. Even the stupid ones I new wouldn't work. I finally caved and did a full wipe. Low and behold, on the very first setup screen the error message immediately popped up.
I am stock (whatever the latest version is) and rooted.
If factory reset doesn't work I don't know what else would work. That's usually the last recourse. Any suggestions? HELP!
Do I maybe need to re-flash the stock rom? If so, can someone please provide a link?
