Hi first you need this kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2198444
Then you need the Samsung mobile driver installed on your PC you can easy find them by Google samung mobile driver
Then you need Odin to flash this i am not at home and must search the link give me 5 minutes
Edit here you can download Odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1094518&d=1338368405
When you have installed the driver open Odin and shut down you Galaxy play then press home + vol down and the powerbutton for a sec after its a warning on the display press vol up to continue after that click in Odin on PDA and tick the kernel. Then press Start. After that you have clockwork mod installed ...
Dont know why your factory reset in the stock recovery dosent work.
I would recommend you before flashing to wipe in cwm under mounts and storage /system /data /cache and dalvik-cache to prevent force closes.
Hope that helps you

Alternate Kernels
I have created a flashable 3.13.607.5 Kernel and a flashable 3.14.605.5 Kernel for the ROM.
Some people feel that the 3.13.607.5 kernel gave better battery and cooling than the latest kernel.
Feel free to download and test for yourself!
These are in old school method as to make one simple step for everyone. This also resets mainver to 1.00.000.0
Instructions
Download to root of SD Card
Reboot to Recovery
Flash Zip
Phone will reboot to hboot
Press power one time so it will scan the SD Card
Install boot.img when prompted
Reboot when prompted
Download the 3.13.605.7 kernel HERE
Download the 3.14.605.5 kernel HERE
Reserved for future use....
Reserved for future use....
ROM now boots to fastboot after install to auto install kernel. Just press power when you get to fastboot and the install will begin. No longer need a PC to install.
The initial set up screen is glitchy! You will need to bypass it by pressing home 3 or so times!

Just as the quote said... It will auto install it for you. You do not need to do anything other than put the ROM on SD card, Wipe all Data, install ROM. It will then boot into fast boot. From there you press power and it will scan and install the kernel / boot.img.

I know in the original clean rom I'm currently using, I had to flash some framework thing (no clue what I'm talking about) before first boot in order to use My Verizon. Is that the case here? No, I left all the frameworks in there. You just need to install the app from Market. It just caused too much confusion... If I did take something out that is need (very possible) then let me know and we can figure it out.

Delete the folder in the sdcard. I think it's named under whatsapp and/or it is in the android folder
Most of the things are fine but the music app is missing
Yesterday I accidentally erase my phone’s system data from xrecovery after that I can see only initial SE logo. I tried with flashtool and 2.1 firmware but seeing same screen. From flashtool it shows “not rooted” but after couple of other message messages it shows connected as flashmode. Any help appreciated.
From forum and flashtool documents it mentioned to select wipe user data, but when I select ftf file from flashtool wipe section doesn’t have any select check box.
my phone is Xperia X10. had android 2.1 service provider at&t.

Just download x10's stock firmware & install it using flashtools app.(read guides first)
You soft bricked your phone by formatting system (recovery is removed because it's installed in system partition)

He is on stock kernel so recovery is wiped too.
On custom kernel recovery is inside kernel so doesn't remove by formatting system

Thank you so much for your help, advice and guidance. With 2.3.3 rom it worked even though at flash tool it showed not rooted. One difference I have seen one difference between 2.1 generic rom which I gave in my previous post ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1749426) and gamingwiz's given 2.3.3, the difference was 2.3.3 had cache wipe option. I don't know that made any difference or not.
Thank you again.

Doesn't work for me..
When I install Cwm.zip and press home +touch screen it rebooted back in Android.. I tried doing the same with volume up, but it then reboots into the original kernel..
it's work for me...
So, during the installation of cwm.zip, I repeatedly press home and touch the screen. Then it moves to cwm 5. After that, I install the cwm 6 (update.zip).
Thank you shaaan.
Okay it works now..
You have to repeadly press home and touchscreen..
Thanks shaan . I used your CWM to flash the Kirillos13 Riple effect and to do a backup and works ok.
Some time is dificult to start the cwm 5 recovery , I do it presing all the buttons including the home button and the down part of the screen at the same time and normally cwm 5 starts.
when i try to install my rom the phone reboots

I think you need to change the line in updater script that has /dev/block/mmcblkXpYY/system
Edit:
Oh right.. check the rm command maybe its one of the causes. I have a different way to deodex my phone without recovery. If we get permanent recovery then I will make my own rom again but as of now, I have no idea what to do with the script

The procedure is a little bit problematic, to be honest.
Stock recovery is having a bit of an issue when it comes to mounting internal SD (eMMC).
...Then there's CWM 5, that has issues mounting either. I had to throw in an SD card, then mount eMMC - which in fact did not mount eMMC but external SD.
why is it after i flash this.. i followed all your instructions even the tapping the screen.. and when i successfully installed it then reboot and try to go to cwm recovery why is it it comes again in stock recover and not cwm recovery? i try do install it again and it always turn back to stock recovery? have anyone expiernced this?

Ikr! The problem is a messed graphics file. So the issue is framebuffer related. Make a new recovery. Use the updated graphics.c and it will work directly.!

indeed, the version currently in OP should work fully now. using supersu 1.65 should net you root. just gutta wait for teh awesome devs to make yall some roms now. there are some things still left needed to be fixed for 4.3/note3 stuff.
dont restore any backups until this selinux stuff is fixed/figured out, luckily its a note 3 issue so all the note 3 people will be working on it .
this is a 4.3 thing but dont have my recovery fix root/remove scripts. you need them for root, when i get some time ill trash that stuff and compile a better version but for now just click no

nandroids, currently there is an issue where selinux flag isnt being set properly when restoring data and then causes bootloops. titanium backup should be good
just to be clear, i didnt root the note 3, you guys had an unlocked bootloader it means rooting was as simple as flashing recovery. i included rooting steps in my OP to help people out.

Just re-run the CF-Auto Root instructions to the T and you should be back in business. I had the same issues and just used CF auto Root and it resolved my issues and I have root with no seen issues so far. Just got the device literally 1hr ago and just finishing up on it. Also if you installed a recovery you will have to ODIN back to OUDHS to get that back. I am holding off until I see some Jellybomb
