Hi people,
My P768 is very smooth & fast after JB upgrade but it gives me 2 major problems for me after that upgrade as well:
1. Bluetooth: My music player stop output to bluetooth headset after picking up the phone call. Did check Bluetooth connection both: Phone audio and Media audio are still connected but the sound only go to phone speaker. Did try to stop/ start bluetooth but now works. The problem only go away when I restart the phone.
Anyone has same issue?
2. My phone used to working fine with Call Recorder Pro in ICS with audio resource is Voice Call - means it can record all phone call (2 ways recording) even when using Bluetooth headset but not in JB. I did try different app but all of them can only record thru Microphone, it is not good at all!
So is there any good app can work with JB?
My P768(VN) is rooted anyway, JB V20A!
Thanks for your reading!
I too have run into issue one. I'm using a T-mobile P769 running V20F. It is not rooted
When playing music over bluetooth, if I get a call then the music pauses and the call audio comes through just fine. When I go back to start the music after the call, I get nothing but silence. It appears to be playing but no sounds comes out.
If I stop the music and re-pair the bluetooth it then works fine until I pause the music again.
If I reboot the phone, everything works fine until I get another call over bluetooth.
This has been happening ever since the upgrade to Jelly Bean. ICS worked just fine.
Any ideas?

I havent seem to run in to anyone with this issue.
I pair my phone to my car stereo fine in the stock GB rom. Play music and talk on the phone endlessly.
But with any ICS version so far, even official. It causes reboots, randomly.
Am I the only one suffering from this?
Not the same, but something similar.
I can connect with my car stereo, have to do it twice (once for music streaming and once for handsfree). Once connected, i can stream music fine. Even the controls on my steering wheel work. When I receive a phone call sound is muted and i can talk fine as well.
After I hang up the phone, the music doesn't come back, only a 0.5 second stutter every 2-3 seconds. On my phone, in the music player I can see that it's my phone that has the problem; the visualisation displays exactly how i hear the sound.
This behaviour also occurs when I turn off my car and turn it on again.. there doesn't seem to be a single thing that i can do to get music to play again, just some fiddling usually gets it to work (but then i have to stop my car first before i can have music..)
If anyone has any ideas for troubleshooting let me know!
I honestly think ics has compatibility issues with certain bluetooth devices.
We can only hope they realize this and take measures to correct it.
Gingerbread is flawless.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
Just a notice that this seems fixed for me now.
I've upgraded to the 4.0.4 Rom found here: Click!
Next to this i'm using the app "doubleTwist"
ICS talks a different language then gingerbread when it comes to A2DP, especially for the play/pause commands, which seem important to me..
A2DP issues
I find I have similar issue. I have a SONY bluetooth deck in my car and my phone will lock up and force restart mid song or mid phone call.
Anyone have any ideas apart from flashing that 4.0.4 Rom
I'm having no audio when I connect my phone to the car through Bluetooth. I do have call audio both ways but I can't play music or sounds. Phone doesn't say anything, acts like it is playing music but no sound. I'm using task650's aokp 4-4-2012.
Also, I can't install Samsung apps, there are some apps there I use. Any way to get it working?
Thanks for reading.
I have the same issue. I found the work arround by open music app then make a call after you hear ring disconnect phone and try running music again. Some how it works for me..
bluetooth is working fine here.
i use pandora and make calls over my head unit in my car. no issues at all
samsung apps? you arent going to be using samsung apps in aokp.....
I have been using 4-14-2012, Build 31, and now 4-18-2012, and each one the Bluetooth audio works. I would recommend updating to a newer version and try again.
Also, most of the Samsung apps hook into touchwiz or back end services that are not in AOKP.
Hey all,
I searched around for a while but couldn't find anyone posting about this issue...So I manually upgraded to the .211 release using Matt's Utility 1.7 back when it was released, and I have had next to no problems on stock ICS except for this. One annoying issue that keeps occurring though, is my music starts playing automatically after I hang up from a call using bluetooth. This happens only when I receive a call and my headset is connected to the phone (both handset and A2DP profiles). It streams over the headset thru A2DP and I have to manually pause the music on my phone (or disconnect/reconnect the headset) to stop it. I use a Bose Series 2 headset and didn't have this problem on stock GB beforehand. Music is not playing before I receive the call.
I've found a temporary solution in disabling the A2DP portion of the connection manually in the bluetooth settings under the headset subsection.... but this is annoying because I have to keep turning it back on when I want to stream music or podcasts through the ear piece.
Any ideas as to why this is now happening?

Scion some app is telling it to resume after calling. Do you have any other music apps installed on your phone?

Just the built in "my music" app bloatware from Moto...also Pandora. I did disable a bunch of bloatware when I first started setting up the phone. I'll see if disabling/re-enabling the my music app has any effect... I've never had a problem with Pandora before but I could also try uninstalling that to see if it makes a difference.
Flashing the .215 leak fixed the problem... hallelujah
hi all,
after updating to official ROM 4.2.2 on my samsung Tab2.7.0 i'm facing problem with connecting my BT headset (plantronics m55). BT connects but i hear strange static or distorted sounds on the both ends (ie. caller and receiver) this issue is only for phone calls.
But headset works fine for VOIP calls, Skype and listening to music and voice guided navigation.
I tried unpairing and and resetting a number of times but nothing has changed, i tried to connect another Plantronics M55 to my tab still the issue existed.

Seems more like a problem with your carrier. Can you hear this sound without the BT also? even faintly.

Are you only using skype and VIOP on wifi?
Could be the way your device handles carrier signals, in such a way it interferes with the bluetooth signals.

i use Skype and VOIP on both wifi and mobile data at both instances it works fine but if i've to make a voice call through my phone i hear only static and distortion on the BT headset, the same headset i used on my iphone and laptop it works fine.
The BT even plays music well on tab but voice call is the problem. I tried pair and unpairing a number of times even i tried to select only call audio and unpaired my Iphone and laptop, still it is giving the same problem i mentioned above.
BTW PLANTRONICS M55BT HEADSET was working fine until official firmware upgrade to 4.2.2 was done. My device is rooted.

dear jkjoms
thanks for the reply... i had been using the stock based rom and was working fine... now again i switched to it(sungsonic hd anniversary edition)...
it is working fine with it.. but out of eagerness i am expecting some solution for it in kitkat custom roms, because they are slimmer and faster... anyhow thanks
looks like this problem started with the official jb update and continues with the M builds for tab 2 series.
Hey All,
My phone is pretty much stock, (close to) latest HBOOT/Radios/OTA (ICS), although I have flashed whatever version of TWRP was around way back when the latest OTA came about and rooted it.
Anyway, I've got a peculiar thing happening that I only just discovered: When I pair and connect my phone's bluetooth radio with the audio system in my car (the car is a recent addition to the family), I can't get the phone app audio to work properly over the car's audio system.
One possible clue is that I do use PowerAmp to play music over BT, and it works fine. When I dial the phone and press send, as soon as dialing ensues, music is interrupted, the phone number I'm dialing shows in the radio's screen, but audio goes completely silent. I have to manually change the phone app's sound from BT to speaker to continue with phone calls.
Have any of your experts ever had, and solved, this issue?
Thanks!
