Hello, I rooted and unlocked my hox+ bootloader but i started to notice that my phone may have come with camera problems, you know that problem that makes your pictures look blurry, i read in other post it is a hardware problem (i tried wiping, re installing stock firmware and is the same) so i have been contacting htc support service and i know that if i sent my phone due to the bootloader thing they are going to return it, so the case is, is there any way i can remove the relocked status? you know that it says jus "locked" i read in the one x thread there is a solution but i dont know if is going to work on my device, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Do you know much about adb?
When I had my Sensation, this thread explained how to do it with adb, or with flashable zips. Maybe, if you understand the workaround with adb (I don't really understand it), you can try to find out what to change in order to make it work for HOX+
However, if you don't know much about it, I certainly don't advice you to do ANYTHING, in case you brick your device

I've looked through the forums and such for an answer. But no answer is as simple as I need it to be.
Recently, I tried to root my device. I used fastboot and unlocked my boot menu or whatever it's called.
After all of this, it seems to run just fine, except it can't connect to the mobile network at all.
On any forum thread given, it says to flash the PH file or check the S-off and other things, and to be honest, I have no idea what these are. I just need a simple "do this and do that" help walkthrough.
What I want is to return the HTC Rezound to it's out-of-box state. Basically factory recovery. Please put it as simple as you can.
A bit of extra information is: I tried to root when my phone had the OST update installed, and forgot to check about it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Making a major change to your device and not understanding the process is how you break things. You should read through and understand what you are going to attempt before starting.
You did put the cover back on?
Again, the most OBVIOUS fix is, have you put the battery cover back on the phone? Mostly when people first see this problem is that they leave the back off.when performing the root method, forgetting that the antennas are on the battery door.

Yes the cover is on the back of the device. I was watching a video playlist on YouTube that I followed and his turned out fine but mine just had to have the update I guess...how could I fix this?
Hard to tell you what to fix because we don't know what you actually did?

I'm not sure what I did , but I reset it's factory image and it seems to be as if it just came out of the box.
Now before I go about rooting it I'll make sure to make a backup image,

Backup Image?? If you don't have root, you cant do that.
You are not making a lot of sense as to what steps you actually took?
Did you unlock the bootloader yet?

I was on CM7, then I flashed Stock Gingerbread using CWM (Fruitcake, I think), I want to remove root and the "unlocked" sign when booting. I was searching this forum (and the rest of the internet ) for a couple of days and didn't find a solution. Either the links are dead or there is a person threating with hard brick. Does anyone know how to do this safely and has necessary files, please? Thank you in advance.

If you want to just remove the text while the BL and everything else remains unlocked... That is impossible, you cannot do that.
If you want to re-lock your BL... well, that would probably be the only time (apart from when unlocking the BL) when you should reach for a SBF. There is no other known way to re-lock the BL.
Yep, I need to re-lock the BL, to get the phone to factory state (I know it won't actually re-lock the BL, just the sign will disappear). But I didn't find any usable SBF's, everybody is writing about hardbrick or the links are down. I found a couple of US ATT SBF's , but really don't know which one to use, I really don't want to brick my phone

All the SBFs were removed here because they are too dangerous. For that same reason, you won't find many people here who will be willing to help you with them, not even say "yes, this one is good" or "no, don't use this one". It's just too dangerous and nobody wants to take responsibility for other people's phones like that. Not to mention, you failed to give any relevant information on your phone, so even if someone wanted to help, they can't.
What information do you have on mind?
Currently I'm running rooted unlocked stock gingerbread 2.3.4 (System version: 45.31.20.MB860.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU, Build number: 4.5.2A-74_OLE-31.20).

Yes, that would be the information needed.
Flashing a SBF is the only known way to remove the "Unlocked" text while booting; however you will still find very little support here for doing that - like I said, it is too dangerous, things can go wrong too easily.
You can flash a fruitcake to return the system to stock, but the "Unlocked" text will remain.
That's what I was afraid of So no one will tell me: "Yes, with your configuration you can flash this and you'll be fine."
Nevermind, I will send for repair like this (problem with touchscreen - fantom touches, quite common hardware problem on atrixes) and in the worst case I´ll just pay for the repair.

People have been known to just flash over the stock firmware and send it in and be fine. A lot of service centers don't really care about the unlocked BL or even a custom recovery.

Ok, you know, today I got my phone, I had been waiting forever, I got it and within 2 hours I screwed it up. I have followed and followed many forums and posts on how to fix this, and I am just.. lost. So please i need your help, I am seriously stressing out, and I know I shouldnt, but this is my first android phone. I am shot right now.
I had unlocked the bootloader, and then I tried to root it, then it rebooted and went into bootloop mode or whatever it is.
I still cannot figure out how to use this Hasoons2000's OX+ AIO kit. So I am just leaving it alone.
Ok the PC doesn't recognize it as a storage device, but the fastboot does recognize it, as I have executed a few commands, like reboot or something, just to test that it works.
My phone is ATT but I am in Russia so there is no sending this anywheres. All I want to do is reboot the OS and have it work again, I dont care what mod or stock rom it is, I just really need some direction here.
I know something about RUU, ATT RUU, Fastboot, some other stuff, I have like 5 pages on XDA pulled up and I cant figure this out.

thank you very much I really appreciate your help. I finally figured out the ruu.exe thing, I didnt know they had to be the same numbers, ex 1.15.xxx.xx or whatever.
You see what happened originally was that I unlocked the bootloader, easy pie, but I tried to root it and that is when it started looping. Maybe I didnt understand something, but I seemed to have messed up right there.
Is there really any reason to root? I mean yeah there is super user, but doesnt bootloader help with that a bit? I know BL is for flashing custom roms and all.
May I ask how to flash a custom rom? I really want all of this ATT stuff off of my phone, I really dislike it.
Yes I know I can search, here, google etc. And maybe I should, but I end up getting so many different results, and here and there, and this and that. It really is just easier to talk to one single person who knows what they are doing. So if you could help me, I would again extend my appreciation.

I'm just guessing this is a case of autocorrect, and you mean "custom ROM" and not "art room"?
How did the custom ROM get on your phone, did you buy it that way or did someone do it for you?
The update won't install with a custom ROM, its true (at least if any system files have been altered, which is usually the case). Also, it won't install with a custom recovery. Might even send you into a bootloop and render the phone unusable.
If you want to return to a stock condition and get the update, you can either read up and learn, or run the RUU to return to stock (bootloader must be locked or you need S-off). In either case, we can help you, but need specifics on how you want to approach it.

oh the lousy autocorrect got me.
I have no idea what im doing lol, im following a tut to install revolution hd rom and so far everything is working perfect lets see what happens after system reboot.
Can I unroot and relock bootloader after custom rom install done ?
Update: restoring old content phone seems faster with better signal, but before custom rom it had 4g signal now seems only 3g
Now that sucks boomsound enable/disbale in settings is gone!
So is extreme power saving gone from status bar
also 4g signal

You could relock and unroot,but then no reason to flash a custom rom.
Those two settings are in settings. And on the m8 443 euro builds some are reporting lesser [email protected]
There are AT&T ROM's available that are tailored to us AT&T/GSM networks

Just use this guide to flash the ruu for 4.4.3. It only works on att m8. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE DIRECTIONS! You just need to relock your boot loader if you are not s-off

This is the exact reason I highly discourage following step-by-step tutorials; and/or using toolkits. You are modding the phone with apparently very little understanding of what you are actually doing. Not only is this very risky, as it might result in damage to you phone. But it also leaves you completely unequipped to handle any problems.
My suggestion is to spend a few hours reading the basic information that the folks here have taken the time to compile. This isn't "techie" stuff, this is the basic information and concepts that should be understood before doing any modding of the phone. Quite simply IMO if you don't understand the basics, you have no business rooting/modding the phone.

What i did is i unocked, rooted, then installed twrp, took nanodroid backup and installed custom rom, would it cause any issues if i factory reset the phone ?(will it reset to at&t room that came with the device)

Again, you need to learn and research more before doing anything. This is another perfect example. Factory reset doesn't do anything to the ROM. All it does is wipe the user data partition, and isn't going to help your case in any way. And trying to make up your own solutions is not a good idea (but at least you thought to ask before trying it).
If the intent is to simply be on the latest 2.23 stock software, just run the RUU. You will need to relock the bootloader before RUU if you are s-on. Also, back up any personal data, as user data will be wiped by RUU.

I restored stock recovery and got bavk to att rom RUU is giving me usb error dunno why.

Not enough info. What exactly does the error say?
S-on or S-off. Did you relock the bootloader?
Any response if you type (using adb):
adb devices
Improper HTC/ADB drivers or using Microsoft USB 3.0 drivers on USB 3 port on Windows 8.x instead of Intel USB drivers would be my first two guess. The ladder of the two issues would be most likely scenario if RUU communicates with device while booted into Android OS but fails to connect when the device is in fastboot/boot loader mode.

OK so here is what I did I tried unlocking bootloader with ez unlock for the s3 by the way this was my s4 i545 I tried this on .OK so I installed gave superuser permissions it said wasn't sure if my bootloader was unlocked but had a button to unlock it so I pressed it and it did something not sure what then it said it was successful. OK I then backed out and all my apps still worked phone still working until I powered down to try and get into download mode then phone bricked and yes hard bricked I know I can probably use jtag service for phone but my question is. If somehow it did unlock my bootloader can we use this and flashfire to maybe flash an older firmware like say the one that has an unlock able bootloader maybe

so your phone is bricked. is there anyway to get back the phone to usual or just throw it into the ocean? i think i have the same problem as you and my phone is "bricked". does it fixable?

If you are unable to get into dl mode, JTAG is required. Stop messing with the bootloader when you have no clue how it works

That's the stupidest thing i've seen on this board yet. But i haven't been here long. Samsung is a team full of selfish bastards for boobytrapping these things and trying to pawn them off as Look-see this here is android it's customizeable all you want, then they screw you into taking their lollipop crapware, and then they screw you into not being able to flash your way out of it.l And here you are saying crap like this. This place i thought was here for people to learn, but i've seen quite a few pricks here already in my short time. A lot of really smart helpful people. Longer answer: if you want an unlocked bootloader, get a Nexus. I know that sucks, but I'm tired of messing with all this locked down.... stuff. I'll get my Nexus 6 in the mail tomorrow.
Long answer: sometimes, but it's a long, dangerous trip. (Not noob friendly at all-trust me, I've been there over and over)
If you remain undaunted, figure out what exactly which bootloader you have, and do some googling.

fortunately for everyone reading this, youre wrong. this brick is fixable with the boot.img file for the bootloader you were on when ya bricked it mounted to a sd card of equal size to the internal (if the phone came with a 16 but there was a 32 option, you can also use a 32). The hardware will look for the bootloader on the internal, and if it fails, it moved to internal sd, and if THAT fails, it looks finally on usb. There are many threads about this, and i personally fixed an sch-i535 in the EXACT same way.
also, not nice to chastise people when youre as wrong as they are...... so be nice......

If you have a locked bootloader, the only ways to unlock it is if the carrier decides that its ok for samsung to issue a tar.md5 that can do it, a dev figures out a way around the security or if you were to connect the motherboard to a JTAG to force a previous firmware onto it that already has an unlocked bootloader. So if yours is locked, youll need to wait for an unlock or be clever enough to dink around with the coding and get it done yourself. That last option is not likely, not that im doubting your knowledge, its just that its nearly impossible to do so.

might wanna fact check before you got calling others out the sd recovery boot.img has not worked on the i545 since *NC5 it was removed for whatever reason (likeky to hamper attempts at unlocking it)
this has been confirmed by multipl devs
vzw s4 bootloader unlocking is completely dead stop giving false hope

this is fact "bro". Ive walked a few people thru this process and helped them revive their "hardbricked" phones. Is it guaranteed to work on every baseband? No, there arent any guarantees in any of this stuff. And there wasnt any mention as to what baseband he was on.....
I never said that its unlockable, i was suggesting how one could go about unbricking their phone as opposed to throwing in the ocean.
