Phone stuch at bootscreen - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just flashed UK Unbranded 4.1.2 XWLSS firmware on my phone using Odin 3.0.4. Now it is stuck at boot screen.
Any ideas hoe to fix it?
FYI, I had RootBox JB installed before flashing.
EDIT: I flash Siyah Kernel V6 beta 5 as suggested by
Galaxy S2 stuck on boot screen after JB update: Download Mode Available, No Recovery but it doesn't work. still stuck at bootloop

Factory reset.

Almost all the time in case of a bootloop what neo suggested is enough only if that fails should an other kernel be suggested, with the above procedure to be repeated.

Yeah I get it bro, but when you mention it to a noob just give a small detail like "why" and "when". Otherwise they will start a flashing marathon and it will be the beginning of a new "help me" thread.

Guys please help - ROM flashing issues

Weird problem with my phone chaps, can you please help?
I can flash CM9 & CM10 with no issues. I can flash it via restore (CWM) or through a wipe.
I can flash CheckROM V4 Via ODIN with no issues, but I am unable to flash anything I download through the kitchen. I get a bootloop or it gets stuck at the Boot up Samsung logo.
Similarly, I am unable to flash any other ROM apart from CM9/CM10 via recovery. It gets stuck at the boot logo. I've wiped all the caches, and even tried to flash checkrom via Odin to see if this resolves the issues, but unfortunately not.
Is this a case of flashing an original Samsung ROM, then re-rooting and starting over?
I will be grateful if anyone can offer some assistance!
Are you doing a full wipe factory reset in recovery before flashing a ROM? you mentioned you wiped cache thats it

Maybe Megawipe or Superwipe script can help. You can try it if you haven't gone with flashing original firmware.

Now when I enter in recovery I have PhilZ Touch 4. Do I install the rom again?
Clear both caches, reboot.

Did you wipe system/data before flashing?
Rom nuke means you have to fully format the system and data..
You can use hawker's gs2romwipe script and install the rom again..
After that install Philz 4.35 LSJ till the devs fix that bootloop bug..
This will solve your bootloop issue...

Bootloop with samsung based roms

Good day all,
I have a problem with samsung based roms. When i flash them, the phonegets stuck at the samsung logo. I tried a few JB 4.1.2 rom from samfirmware.com. And today i tried to flash omega rom v23. With all of them i get the bootloop. I've already tried the newest siyah and philz kernels, but it didn't help.
This is what i do when flashing a new rom: wipe data, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik. Then flash the rom.
I have no problem flashing aokp roms. Because i have flashed omega rom v12 aokp milestone and it starts normally.
Can anyone help me?
ps. when i do data wipe, i get "E : format_volume : make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblkl1p2
DOes this have anything to do with the bootloops?
Anyone got this problem with Samsung based roms?

Try this download these 2 wipe scripts Rom Wipe / Nuke script Then for good measure this too Kernel Wipe and save files to sd card.
Then go into download mode flash both files, then any Rom you wish immediately after, hope this helps.
Do a full wipe, install the rom, reboot into Recovery, install fixed Philz-kernel (or Siyah), and reboot. In my case it worked, but I agree it's pretty difficult sometimes.
The first boot takes very long by the way.

I have similar problem, no error popups though...
after full wipe (even using cleaning scripts) and installing new rom (with recommended kernel) my phone bootloops on splash screen...
I only found out that stock roms work, and most of custom fails - I managed to launch ReVolt once, failed any other time even with the same method. Furthermore ReVolt caused my simlock to come back (and this is actually a different story - tried every method to unlock my phone but only with Galaxy_S unlock and only on Gingerbread worked)
Could it be casued by any "deeper" ingerence of the provider i got my phone from? It's Orange, Poland
Thanks for any tips
I can install stock ics 4.0.4 without a problem. But when I try to flash stock jelly bean via Odin, it gets stuck at the Samsung screen. And I've waited nearly an hour and still stuck at Samsung screen

[Q] Stuck on bootlogo

Hi,
I am running stock 4.0.3 ICS XWLP7 on my I9100, rooted with CF-Root 5.4 and wanted to update to 4.1.2 by using Chameleon ROM 3.0.2...
So I went to recovery, did factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and installed the zip file, but after rebooting I am stuck at the bootlogo (with the yellow triangle). After ~10 min. I pulled the battery and rebooted. I was able to get into the new recovery so I tried to flash it again but got the same error.
I am now back at 4.0.3 (nandroid restore).
So.. is there something obvious I did wrong?
TIA for your help.
Did you format system first? If is not working try another kernel
