[Q] HTC One vs. Google S4 - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

<Posted this in the general HTC One forum, but I mostly hang out here>
Now that Google has announced they will be selling a GSM Samsung S4 through the android market starting in June, what are your thoughts on which to get?
I purchased my HTC T-Mobile version last week. Took a while to adjust to Sense, and actually have 'desensed' it a bit by using Nova Launcher instead. It's a pretty phone, but I do miss some of the stock Android features of my GNex. Actually, it may be that since the GNex has had quite a bit of development, there are some nice tricks I can use with it that haven't been developed for the HTC One yet (i.e. PGM swipe to wake).

I'm also coming from a Gnex and miss vanilla android, just sticking with sense 5 cuz it's actually pretty snappy and easy to use for me. I just use "powerful control" for my notification toggles and all us well. But once more roms drop, I will definitely be flashing. So that's a no go on the GSM GS4
Sort of off topic but, if you are rooted you can run the Bulletproof kernel by flar2, I'm using it and I have swipe2wake on my One, check it out in the original development forums, I havent tried any roms so I can't say anything about that but this kernel has made my battery life great, gotten rid of that horrendous menu bar at the bottom of the screen and given me different wake and sleep options. Check it out!

Uh swipe to wake is out for the one? I have been using it for a few weeks?

Nowhere near as responsive as pgm though, as it's limited to the bottom section.
Not saying it's a bad phone, just wanting to have it all!

not impressed with galaxy nexus

Today I went to a local bestbuy to take a look at the galaxy nexus, the phone I wsa originally going to wait for. I'm glad I got the Amaze...I was not impressed with any aspect of the galaxy nexus...even at 720p the pentile screen on it still manages to mess up the quality of the screen to a certain extent. if I was to pick screens I would def pick my qHD amaze screen over the amoled 720p. The cameras are not even comparable. we have a backside illuminated wide aspect f/2.2 aperture...where as the galaxy nexus uses a 5mp regular old camera the phone seems a bit long too...just as I though the sgs2 was little bulky this one seems a little bulky too. Amazes size is almost perfect. ICS does seem a little weird without the hardware buttons...I actually rather prefer the soft touch bottoms..the phone is long and does not feel as nice as my amaze in the hand...build quality is the crap plastic feeling I got with my sgs2 when I first bought then returned...overal...right now all it has over the amaze is ICS...I don't even see the big deal with ICS... all the features plus more of ICS area already on sense 3.0 and 3.5 minus the multi tasking and...sense does a good job of integrating facebook twitter all that stuff...something ICS is striving to do add widget locket and adw ex and you have a phone much more user friendly than ics imo. I can't wait till the OTA update of ICS for Amaze I hope they don't F it up...I rather like gingerbread at this point and am pretty much happy with my phone minus the stupid bloatware, which thankfully I was able to freeze using titanium backup using temproot before the wifi calling update...
Ics will look most likely what it looks like on the sensation go check it out links are here in the general forum

Well you can take solace in the fact that the amaze can flash multiple rom types, where as the galaxy nexus would only support a handful of custom roms due to the lack of capacitive buttons

Software* a device is hardware and hardware can't support other hardware as far as I know? If your gonna be sarcastic and put down someone's opinion at least don't look stupid while doing it. On that note I would rather have more hardware keys imo helps for like miui where you hold the home button to turn the flash light on and since miui will be updated I don't think it's considered outdated software as you tried to imply and failed.

I've used the ICS Rom for the HTC Inspire and found that even though its in its early stages of development It's very impressive, the captivative buttons are very fitting! I also own a Galaxy Nexus and even though my Amaze is my first pick right now due to build quality for the first time I'm feeling a greater interest in the ICS stock UI and keyboard which I find to be significantly better than that of the Amaze. I do enjoy the the display on the Amaze over Nexus and given that it will receive ICS I'm sticking with HTC.
If anyone is wondering why I also have the Nexus I got it from Bell for signing a contract after I had already paid full price for the Amaze from Telus.

i have tried the ICS keyboard it is good indeed but swiftkey x blows it out of the water anyday. besides the visual eye candy and multitasking, What aspects of ICS are you finding better if i may ask politely ??

It's all pretty much eye candy, same function but a different method or look of doing. Sharing photos for example rather than menu or tap to select the share options the different options automatically display like gmail, Google+ etc after a new photo is captured. Visual stuff off hand...key pad, lock screen, contacts and app drawer.
Maybe it's just the new feeling of it but I'm impressed. Stock Gingerbread to ICS is like Touchwiz to Sense IMO

Can't Decide.. If I go to Sprint.

I'm most likely leaving AT&T and coming to Sprint. There are 3 good phones on Sprint and it's really hard to decide which one to get. The Evo 4g LTE, SGS3, or the GN for Jelly Bean. If anyone could give me their opinions on those 3 devices (best roms, mods, etc.) that would be great. The GN is now only $99 on Sprint. Ugh. I hate that I can never make a decision.

What did you like of the EVO over the sgs3?
Also I looked on Sprint's coverage map and it shows that I am in "fair" territory. Does that mean I'll have poor signal?
I'm in the same boat. I have been an Android user since Day 1 since Oct 2007. I loved it. But I bought the Samsung Vibrant 2 years ago and was very sure that I would never buy another Samsung phone given their sorry upgrade track record and not releasing source code and binaries for their radios. So i was pretty sure I was going to grab the One X. The EVO LTE looks like the best one since it had a micro SD card and a dedicated camera button. The lack of removable battery is a problem, but after reading the reviews on the battery life, I thought I'd risk it.
But two things happened. Samsung released the same S3 model (bar the CPU for the US market) all over the world and they released the source code almost immediately. They don't have a locked bootloader (I know the HTC allows you to unlock it - bit it breaks the warranty). I hated ODIN initially, but it does make the Samsung phones practically unbrickable and they don't lock the bootloader, so I don't lose the warranty if I root it and install a custom ROM. I can always ODIN it back to stock and get a replacement if something goes wrong with the phone.
I haven't been keeping up with the HTC ROMs anymore so I don't know how it's going these days. I have been using ICS on my Vibrant since December. How long have you guys had an ICS ROM for the original EVO?
What's giving me pause in going for the EVO LTE is
1. Would the custom ROM scene on the EVO LTE be as good as the one on the S3? Given that the S3 is practically the same worldwide and Steve Kondik is now a Samsung employee with access to resources that might help CM10?
2. The reports of the multi-tasking on the EVO LTE are worrying. If the reason that the battery life is decent on the One X is because it's aggressively dropping background processes, that's not what I want. If I wanted crippled multi-tasking, I'd have bought an iPhone. How's the multi-tasking? If you load a game in the background, a browser loading a page in the background and switch to the email app, is it responsive? If you go back to the browser, does it start loading the page again? Or has it finished loading the page? I use planetandroid.com as my test case since it gives even Firefox on the desktop a problem (although Chrome on the desktop doesn't have any issues with it).
3. I read that it's because Sense is so resource hungry, they traded the multi-tasking to keep it in memory, but I see that that still doesn't work and Sense does keep getting swapped out and has to restart when exiting email or the browser or some big game. Is this still a problem with Nova Launcher? I read that this has been set at the kernel level. Does Auto Memory Manager help? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lim.android.automemman
I guess the extra 1 GB on the S3 helps. I have read some comparisons that the S3 is smoother multitasking than the EVO LTE.
I'd love to hear whether these are real problems or a custom ROM would solve them.
Edit: BTW, my biggest problem with the S3 is the display. It looks very dim. The One X simply smokes it!
Thanks guys.

After the updates sense no longer reloads, for me anyway. Multitasking aside, the One X has had the best battery life on any phone I've ever had by far. Android or iPhone. I love the One X that's why this is so hard for me to decide. The white Evo LTE looks sick. I'm also starting to like the customization of the sgs3 the more reviews I watch of it.
I just got 3 hours of screen on time on my One X before it got to 50%. By far my best yet.

I bought the nexus and it was amazing with vanilla ics roms were pretty awesome too, the curve to your hand made it by far the best hand held experience of any phone the only down side to it had sub par battery life I had to carry 2 batteries
I now have bought an EVO LTE and its nice but I think cause of the non curve it feels like a mini tablet atleast to me , but holy carp is it fast and snappy , and super bright, I did like a whole lot better on the nexus was swiping left to right to close out the task menu , sense made it so you can only go up to close them out wich Is slow and they didn't add the feature in the browser like the nexus did

If you go with the S3 u will be happy, after I had it for a couple of days all the extra customization of the S3 seemed trivial.and gimmicky, it was cool at first especially the gestures... But I ended up not using them at all. Yes I think the S3 is smoother than the EVO, but not by much. I hated the physical home button, it had way too much lag, and that's even with the S-voice turned off. You don't get full use of the home screen realestate on the stock UX, which was annoying. Those where my only complaints. My past three phones have been sammys, that's another reason I chose the HTC, I just wanted a change, and the build quality(external) and feel of an HTC phone in my opinion is far superior to Samsung. In the end don't beat yourself up with the desicion you will be extremely happy with either phone. Oh and I made the switch to sprint from ATT due to ATT raping me on data charges... Now I have to sacrafice service, but its worth the trade off.

Also my One X gets pretty hot and I don't know if it's the battery causing it. I would love to be able to change out the battery. I miss that option.

I have "fair" coverage and I needed to get an Airave because I had zero or one bar everywhere in my house and couldn't have a conversation with anyone. Luckily, they gave me an Airave for free so now I have five or six bars everywhere in my house.

More info please....
the NV upgrades near me have been brutal, tons of dropped calls, especially while on the move, but even still while sitting at home. I would also check the NV upgrade schedule to see if they are even coming to your area any time soon...I agree though, wait on sprint until NV is up and running in your area.
The S3 is indeed almost identical as the international version, with the exception that it uses the S4 krait like the ones in the Evo LTE, putting it in the same situation as the LTE and the One X. The One X's community looks to be pretty active, but with a different processor than ours, the roms are not exactly interchangable, so i would expect the same issue to be present for the LTE-specced S3s.
If you're talking about development though then the multitasking and sense issues shouldn't be a problem unless you actually like sense, in which case all i have to say is you're boned .
I chose the Evo because I like how solid aluminum bodied phones feel, and I have never liked the oversaturation that is present on every amoled-based screen that i've looked at. I held off upgrading from my OG Evo because when i held the SGS2 and then the Gnex, they both felt flimsy and cheap in my hands compared to my Evo. I'm sure that they're probably all equally fragile when dropped, but for something where i'm holding it any time i'm going to use it, the feel was very important to me, so i would say it mostly comes down to personal preference, like Mitsu Evo vs Subaru STi, or Cameros vs Mustangs, test drive them both and see which one you'd like best.

Yes. The same issue would be present for the S3 if the CPU is the only change. But I expect that the S3 would be probably be a well supported phone since it would sell so many and many devs would have it. I have been out of the HTC scene for a couple of years so don't know if the EVO has had good custom ROM support. eg. I have been running ICS since Dec/Jan on my Vibrant.

Sorry, what does "you're boned" mean? I'm an idiot for liking Sense, or if i use Sense, then the multitasking is a problem? I like the stock Google UI using Nova Launcher. But I haven't seen any definitive answer on whether using Nova Launcher alleviates the multi-tasking problem. If it does, then I'd be okay with not using Sense, although I do like some Sense widgets. But I can live with out them.

I have got used to the "flimsy" Samsung phones. I like the lightweight feel of them and they are surprisingly resilient. Check out the CNet's torture test for the S3. http://cnettv.cnet.com/8301-33814_53-57468819-10391737.html It's intense.

Farewell HOX+ Friends

I've been using my HOX+ since early January and in general (aside from broken screen) it's been an awesome phone, definitely one of my favorite Android phones to date. With that said though, as I mentioned in another post, Sense has been getting on my nerves after playing around with my dad's new Xperia TL. So, I made the [big] mistake of walking into the local Sony store and infront of me was an Xperia ZL. Needless to say, I fill in love with it.
A couple of days later I had my HOX+ sold and sporting a new Xperia ZL.
The top reasons the Xperia ZL won me over:
- Gorgeous 5 inch 1080p display within the exact same footprint as the HOX+
- Beautifully minimalistic skin that's UBER speedy
- Multi-colored notification LED (sorely missed since my GNex)
- Power button is positioned optimally for easy and quick access
- Dedicated camera button is sweet
- AOSP support (Cyanogenmod already available)
- Google Wallet works (with minor hack) / never could get it to work on HOX+
- Typing (on any keyboard) is much, much smoother
- Wifi reception is like night and day / 5Ghz actually works for me
- Google Voice fully integrated / VM shows up and plays in Contacts app
- Stock battery percentage by default
- Love the contacts application / HATED the Sense contacts app
- Love the hi-res full screen contact picture on incoming calls
- Battery - still testing it out, but so far I see huge difference in battery discharge rate
- Stock Android News & Weather widget...again another sorely missed app from Stock Android
- Obviously a speedier CPU and double the RAM is awesome, but honestly those weren't a deciding factor (because you'll keep chasing new numbers all year long).
Grateful for all the help I got while I was an HOX+ member. Cheers guys.
Can't blame you. I'm debating whether I should sell the X+ now for the S4 or bear with it until the fall.

Same thing here, it just I don't feel that the new devices in the market now offers a wow factor for me to buy but for sure no more HTC for me till they get their things together.. Thinking about the s4 but it's no big of difference from the s3 (which I own along side the hox+) except the 1080p...

I'm tempted to do the same. I don't think HTC realize how many more devices they could sell by being more dev friendly and releasing AOSP compatible drivers. This was my first Android phone and I was hoping for so much more. I guess it just didn't really become as popular as it could have been, which is surprising for a "flagship" HTC handset (which it was when it first came out). My next phone will most likely have Nexus written on it.

[Q] Switching from Sprint to AT&T - quick questions.

I am switching from Sprint to AT&T, as I already said in the subject, and I am looking for some QUICK opinions.
As most people probably have gone through this when buying their phone, I am debating on the S4 Active or the HTC One.
Upon coming onto here though, I was leaning more toward the HTC One because I like several things about it, more than the normal S4 and S4 Active, and because most of the S4 software features I don't really care about; I'm an EVO 3D owner, so I know how the gimmicks go.
I noticed the difference in activity for the S4 vs the One is SIGNIFICANT. ~13.5k posts for the S4 and ~3.6k posts for the One. Is this a problem? Is the One's development very active? Any ideas why such a huge gap?
- How is battery life? This is more geared toward the HTC One veteran users as I don't care how long your battery is lasting after you got your phone just a week ago lol
- How is NORMAL everyday use of the camera\camcorder?
- Are there significant amounts of SOLID daily drivers that are varying in style and operation? (ROMs)
- Maybe most importantly, do you find the ability of NOT being able to remove the battery or add additional memory via MicroSD a problem?
- Do you find storage being an issue with this (I saw somewhere that the ACTUAL storage allowance with the integrated being less than 32 and more toward 25 (for a 32GB obviously.)
Thanks
This phone is phenomenal. It seems like it's slow around here in the development section because everyone is over in the international section because, unlike the s4, we can flash all gsm roms. Pretty much any sense rom or Google edition rom are rock solid and good daily drivers. The camera is amazing. Storage isn't a problem for me because I only do a little gaming and mostly listen to music and use my tablet for my heavy games and other stuff, some people don't like the small space but I don't mind. Sense beats the hell out of touchwiz in every way, it's smoother and more practical. This phone beats the s4 hands down. Everything about this phone amazes me, it's been like 2 months and every time I pick it up or turn on the screen it makes me smile and amazes me on how smooth it is. Get the one, you will not be disappointed.

I noticed the difference in activity for the S4 vs the One is SIGNIFICANT. ~13.5k posts for the S4 and ~3.6k posts for the One. Is this a problem? Is the One's development very active? Any ideas why such a huge gap?
- How is battery life? This is more geared toward the HTC One veteran users as I don't care how long your battery is lasting after you got your phone just a week ago lol -
- How is NORMAL everyday use of the camera\camcorder?
- Are there significant amounts of SOLID daily drivers that are varying in style and operation? (ROMs)
- Maybe most importantly, do you find the ability of NOT being able to remove the battery or add additional memory via MicroSD a problem?
- Do you find storage being an issue with this (I saw somewhere that the ACTUAL storage allowance with the integrated being less than 32 and more toward 25 (for a 32GB obviously.) -
Thanks

- The AT&T HTC One thread is not as active as the international one, but since the international and at&t have the same hardware you can use international roms without any issues, so really you kinda read both forums unless they eventually combine them.
- I used to get about 8-9 @ 1.5 hrs screen and now I am doing about 15-18hrs @ 2.5 hrs screen
- pretty good unless you like to blow up pictures very large or crop
- I have converted mine to stock international 4.2.2 without any modifications due to work restrictions but there are some solid roms in the international forums.
- When I got my device I started at 25GB and still have 13GB left...plenty of room for pictures and videos.
- Not for me...I have all my apps, pictures, and google music synched (the same that I had on SGS3 and still have 13GB free space.

Launch M7 here. I've had it running AT&T 4.1.2 stock rooted 1.26.502.10 and .12 for three months, before switching to the unbranded 4.2.2 stock rooted 2.24.401.1.
-Battery life is great. Easily 12+ hours a day. Screen on time is around 2-3 hours.
-Camera on 4.1.2 was ok. I pulled the updated versions from the international side, because they had refined it a bit. But 4.2.2 is better. AE/AF lock comes in handy.
-I prefer a stock rooted rom, but ARHD is a solid alternative rom.
-I still miss removable battery and micro SD, although the battery IS lasting longer since it's not removable.
-Actual storage is around 25GB when fully booted. I do wish the 64GB was easy to find during launch, but as long as you don't go download happy and only keep one nandroid, you can live off of 25GB. OTG cable is also an option for additional space.
If you plan to be trigger happy with the camera, and use 1080p recording, go for the 64GB model. I have a 11 minute night video of fireworks, and it took 1GB of storage.

Great response! Thanks!
I'm more than likely going to go the extra $75 for the 64GB model I'd hate to be kicking myself later.
The ARHD ROM you speak of, is that AOSP\AOKP\CM based or still sense and blink feed capable?
Is this the link to the international section?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2119
Is everything in there compatible with the AT&T HTC One 64GB model?
Thanks again and I look forward to joining this section of the community!

You'll want the main thread, as you'll be most likely viewing the regular development for roms and original development section for kernels. But that is the correct international one you linked to.
ARHD is a Sense rom. It's an enhanced version of 4.1.2/4.2.2 and Sense 5. And all Sense roms will be compatible with the 64GB model; I think there's specific versions for CM/AOSP/AOKP and 64GB model.
I have both the s4 on Sprint(not the active) and one on ATT...not a fan of the s4 active buttons personally.
The one won me over in every category except battery life. Both are rooted with custom roms and kernels. For the battery I just keep it charged through the day and have one of those external battery packs just in case.

One small issue is Google Wallet support..... In my understanding ALL GSM based HTC One's built for the US market had Secure Element chips removed, even the 'Google Edition' phones.
So no Wallet support ever, unless Google tries to get around it by coming up with a different solution...... or a hell freezes over type event occurs and AT&T decides to share access to their on-SIM Secure Element which their beloved ISIS platform depends upon.

I'm an s4 owner and you say unlike the s4 you can flash international ROMs. The s4 can also flash not only international ROMs as well but T-Mobile ROMs also. I easily get better battery life than what anyone has stated here. I am running kangbean Google edition and an getting easily 32 hours and 4 hours of screen time. There is a lot more development for the s4 than the HTC One.
Don't get me wrong the HTC One is an amazing phone. I think the design is amazing and very high quality. However I love my s4 and with this ROM it is incredibly fast and amazing on battery.

You obviously used it before they updated to the MDL base, and besides if you are here at XDA you aren't staying on stock ROM and all popular custom ROM's are fast as hell....especially the kangbean ROM I stated. I'm now on 4.3 and it is ridiculously fast.

Galaxy s4 two months later. Thoughts?

For those of you who have had the phone for the full run since the Verizon release date, how have your opinions improved, worsened, or remained the same about the galaxy s4?
I have had the phone for almost a month now and been through a few roms and have been pleased for the most part. I have gripes with the keyboard and the way the camera is great sometimes and totally worse at others.
I'd say after this long, I am happy with my purchase, but not so happy to the point where I'm not looking at upcoming phones later this year as a possible replacement.
Thoughts after two months?

I came from an S3 so I wasn't expecting a whole new experience but I love my S4. The screen is amazing and it's snappy as hell. No lag. I got the 32 GB one and the fastest 64 GB SD card I could find. Unfortunately I got the update so no rom flashing for me. Oh well, I love it the way it is. I was going to wait for the HTC One but I'm happy with my purchase. I also get way better signal too. When I had my S3 I would always get 3G at work but I always have 4G on my S4. My average battery life is 18H, 49M according to GSAM.

I love my GS4. its perfect for me. Does more then i need. If there was no root i would have been happy with it the way it was but with root and CleanROM installed, i basicly can't run it out of juice in a day, besides, charging is soooo fast anyway. I was also one that never had lag even on stock unrooted so with what i have now being rooted, its even snappier then it was originally. The phone is a beast. Signal is always strong screen is amazing and its the perfect screen size.
Honestly it is an amazing device.. I had it on clean rom for weeks and loved it.. just flashed CM10.1... I am blown away by the lightning fast speed.
I had the s3 as well before this. I've had mine since launch day and love it. I do have typing issues with the keyboard sometimes. Guess I sbould look for a good replacement. I wish it had more haptic feedback though. Doesnt hardly feel like im typing on a touch screen, it's too smooth to the touch. I had htc phones before this and rooting this s4 was 50 times easier.

Does swiftkey let you use the Google speech engine for voice to text? I have Swype+Dragon and I find the Google engine better in understanding my accent
I came from a droidx to the s4 so i am just amazed at what this phone can do. I am new to ROMs also so i am messing with this phone all day long.....
Coming from a locked down bionic, the lokid S4 is like a wet dream. ... Although, when comparing radios/signal reception, moto dominates Samsung. ..
Also Came from a locked down Bionic. After the JB upgrade that phone turned into hot garbage. The S4 is light years better!!!

Yea it lets you use Google voice to text. SwiftKey also has SwiftKey Flow which is like Swype. SwiftKey has the best predictions of all keywords I've tried because it constantly learns what you type. It looks at your Facebook posts, Google posts and by past texts if you authorize it.

I came from a 32gb S3 (white) to a 32gb S4 (black).
For me, it's slightly faster, the screen is noticeably better and the battery life (which was already excellent on my s3) is slightly better.
I actually like the "flat" feel of the edges compared to the S3. The camera is phenomenal.
Overall, it's a nice evolutionary step up.
Love it
Download Jelly Bean Keyboard from the dev VLLWP. It fixed every issue I had with the keyboard and more. It's free and there is little to no reason to get the paid version.
After fixing the keyboard, I have zero complaints about the phone. My battery life suffered after the update a bit but now seems to be back to normal which for this phone means I can go two days of light use with my settings the way the are before I plug it in. The only thing I have noticed is that my battery gets eaten up if I am using runkeeper and listening to music. I think it is the combo of GPS and headphones. I'll find a fix eventually. REALLY looking forward to android 5.0 on it this Fall!
I like it a lot more now that the GPS glitches in CM10.1 were resolved.
Disclaimer: I came from a Galaxy Nexus.
Waiting to see how solid the post bootloader lockdown ROMs are. The devs will eventually backport everything that does not require a firmware upgrade. But they will effectively be a port-rebase hybrid since we will not be able to run the stock ROM anymore. 4.3 will be the big test. If the moto x is unlocked like a sort of nexus device, swappa here I come.

Should I go S4?
Hey guys, it's been a while for me since I've last posted here. Pretty much I'm curious if I should buy the S4? I obviously want the latest and greatest but at the same token, i don't want TouchWiz. It would seem the answer is to just root and flash CyanogenMod but now I'm curious if Cyanogen allows for all features, like 4g & WiFi and full camera features like 1080p recording, to be used without problem. I remember, with my original EVO 4G, I mostly ran Cyanogen but 4g didn't work for a long time and there were a couple of other things that were a problem like 1080p video recording.
Hopefully you get a sense of my question: Can I buy the S4, flash CyanogenMod and use all features of the phone? (I know the eyeball and wave sensors most likely won't work...)
Side note: I got pretty turned off to Android with the purchase of the EVO 3D (my fault, I know). So turned off in fact that the EVO 3D no longer looks like a phone. I am soo tempted to just go iPhone so I don't have to worry about this stuff anymore... I just want ANDROID or bust!
I came from the gnex. Absolutely love this thing. Obviously battery life is 10 times better. I'm in casinos all the time and I almost always have 4g.
My biggest gripe is the lack of development, not that it's the phone's fault

I'm curious how you mean lack of development? You have CleanROM (stopped at 1.6.5) HyberDrive, Slim Beans, Carbon, CM10.1, Liquid Smooth, Synergy, Eclipse, Google Edition port, Chameleon, PAC-man and a few others im not thinking of im sure.
I can't see a lack of development.
I am coming from the bionic. I actually liked the bionic. I love my s4 except the new update puts a huge damper on things. I was fortunate to have root still and twrp. I am running brands me7 ota so I don't have wi-fi. Once that is fixed it will be perfect for me. I so miss Motorola skin. This is my first Samsung.
Anyone having a problem with screen burn in?
Hey, so I was at best buy the other day looking at the S4 and noticed they all had various degrees of screen burn in. Now, I know these devices are on all day long but I'm curious, do any of you, under normal use, have this problem? There were numbers burnt into the screen from the clock and the top info bar...
