I'm still waiting for a less-than-crap camera for the S3.

So if you have an S4 you can pay a fee to have pure android? If so that is totally awesome and htc needs to do the same thing as soon as possible. I would for sure pay for that.

No. You can pay 649 bucks for a pure android s4. Or theoretically install that phone's ROM on a s4.

Newt is starting work on JB sense very soon, if that makes you feel any better. A month or so ago I think Nils also said he would be as well.

Not surprised. The Rezound was automatically excluded from receiving JB officially when HTC posted that any devices running JB would be on Sense 4.x, which they already made clear would not happen for the Rezound back when the One series came out.

Huh...
Didn't Google state that any phone manufacturer that wanted to use their GApps had to offer support/ugrade their phones for 18 months?. Even today, the Rezound still qualifies.
Couldn't that land HTC in some hot water if someone brought it to Google's attention?

It's definitely possible for unofficial support for MIUI to arrive for the one in a port but nothing can happen until CyanogenMod builds a solid base for things to run off of since they have the largest number of contributors working on everything AOSP Android. And everyone pulls bits and pieces from their code to be able to build stable ROMs.

I personally think a sensed based miui is for the best considering there is a huge difference between quality of camera in sense vs aosp. Plus people get boom sound. It really is a no compromise option and the base is (for all intents and purposes really solid).
Also why is this in dev?
