It has nothing to do with device specs. Scott Hart is happily running 4.3 on the Samsung Infuse, a device with half the horsepower that our Note's have.
They want you to buy a new device, so they stop supporting the older devices.

I don't understand what you mean by wow you? What exactly wows you? What tweaks do you want aside from being able to change the way the screen completely looks indefinitely?
I think the newness of devices gives it the wow factor more than anything. I'm pretty sure that if you went to another phone, you'd be looking for wow factor again.
For me, I really enjoy being able to control my laptop from my note while the laptop is hooked up to a projector and doing class presentations for my students. That usually gets a "wow. That's really cool you can do that"

So I'm not flashing this until more info comes to light. But, it is very intriguing to me that we are being warned away from a ROM by our DEVS (I do not consider you guys "so-called") that other users are saying "works great" and "love it" about.
I'm hoping maybe you guys are at the very least picking this jellybam ROM apart to see if it fixes any cm10 / aokp issues... Or even if it provides more tweaks / options to the more trusted ROMs.

Whether it's by means of malicious intent, excessive trolling, a lack of memory, or just plain old not caring enough to pay attention...you just happen to be wrong. This, or something like this was all the rage back in the day....because it not only allowed for the Touchwiz launcher, and all the extra S3 goodies, but it also enabled access to all the stock touchwiz widgets, including obscure ones like the AccuWeather, digital clock, days, meetings, task list, and other ones. To my knowledge, this not be the exact .zip to flash, and it hasn't been tested outright with things like Crayon Physics, SMemo, and SNote. But It'd definitely be worth the effort.
So here it is: Touchwiz for AOSP ROMs. (Jellybean only, as far as I know...however, I can't see a reason it wouldn't work on 4.2. I also can't see a reason why it would.
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/32894-s3-touchwiz-jelly-bean-addon/
Because they seem to have proliferated, you'll have to spend some time with our favorite pal Google The Search Engine. Don't even bother here, however. Since your clueless, and all, I'll tell you right away...the XDA search function is so hairy, it's unlikely to help you find anything unless you know EXACTLY what you're looking for. Simple topic and keyword searches will net you a cute case of tendonitis, and a days with the Carp O' Tunnel.
Here's another link to check out, it should give you the additional information that you're looking for. Just make sure you find a MOD, and not a ROM. Because if you flash a ROM, I can almost guarantee you'll soft brick your device. Your much more likely to find stuff for the International Note than find a mod for our Note specifically. Just remember , there were no ROMs like this made for our device, ever....so your looking for "MOD"s. And our device begins with the numbers/letters SGH-i717, also known as the ATT Galaxy Note.

Maybe try, ala xbox and ps4, have downloadable content for say 20 bucks or so...... Like a AOSP ROM through HTC sync.

He means have an aosp rom available for download via htc sync or online...for an amount of money. Why not make it free i might add.....it would definitely add to the htc one hype.....however, how would google update such a rom? Or will it always b htc's responsibility?

Free..... Well the the galaxy s4 Google edition isn't free. So getting pure android should be at a cost......well a small price just to keep up with issues and keep updated with the latest

Hmm pay for stock Android or simply download it for free from XDA.. That's a tough choice!

HTC Rep tweeted something like get the plastic phone with stock or.... Something.
Chances are aosp will come to the one a custom rom will come out for all the other one users.

Stock Android is so boring.
After playing with my Nexus 4 for about a month I came to the realization that vanilla Android is plain boring.
I bought a Sense phone because I like Sense features and widgets and this phones case I like Beats Audio and Zoe

I'm still waiting for a less-than-crap camera for the S3.
So if you have an S4 you can pay a fee to have pure android? If so that is totally awesome and htc needs to do the same thing as soon as possible. I would for sure pay for that.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
No. You can pay 649 bucks for a pure android s4. Or theoretically install that phone's ROM on a s4.
---------- Post added at 08:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:29 PM ----------
Essentially the sgs4 just got official aosp certification

Ahh. Okay I understand now. I wish htc would do the same thing but also make the stock Google available for purchase. That would give them a huge advantage imo. But I have no clue how much work that would take on htc's part. So....

With a bunch of issues.I rather have a also ROM with no issues from the factory. Not constant night lies that always have some thing wrong.
The thing that keeps brewing brought up is that you can get it here for free through a rom. But with these free aosp ROMs here there's always something that doesn't work.

If HTC released complete source with drivers aosp roms wouldn't be as buggy

OK so for me, I dig HTCs UI quite a bit. I know a lot of people don't like it one bit and there is nothing wrong with that. Anyways I saw this thread and thought if this could be ported over to the S3, could it be ported to the Note 2? I was just throwing this out there to see if there are any devs out there that would be willing to give this a try??? I don't know a thing about making ROMS at all Lol but ya, it would be cool. I know it would probably be super hard, but it could be doable.

As of right now yes. But there is a ton of devs working on it for the sprint s3. I was just saying it would be pretty sweet if it ever got up and running.

There's already a thread about this on here somewhere but long story short - it won't happen. A "ton of devs" have been trying this since eclair and afaik not one has ever been successful. There are just too many closed source dependencies that make it impossible.

Ease up man. I had rosie running on my G1 and it was great(and everything worked). I wouldn't jump the aosp ship for sense ever again based on the current state of android, but at the time, it was awesome. I still don't understand why google hasn't included t9 search in their dialer.

Ya same here. Having sense 5 on my note 2 with how big the screen is and with amazing battery life. It would be sweet. I'm a fan of sense. I love how easy it is to quickly add widgets and apps to home screens. Looking forward into seeing what the HTC ONE MAXX had to offer. I may switch. We'll see

Ya the one is a pretty nice looking device. Haven't got to hold it yet without something attached from the back of it Lol. But ya, I don't think I can go back to a smaller screen. And the s pen is nice as well. Its nice for notes. I'm sure the HTC Max will be pretty dang nice

I'm sure I could live with a smaller screen again. Picking up my GNex I'm all like, "whoa SO easy to hold!" I still need to hold it untethered too, but DAMN. I rarely use my SPen, which is why I spend so much time on AOSP ROMs probably.
