AFAIK, CM ROMs don't include the "Samsung" task manager.
But......

Use a root explorer to push it into system>> apps, set permissions to RW- R-- R-- and reboot.
You'll find the icon in your app drawer....

This is stock task manager for cm7/cm9/miui and maybe many other roms.I just did few modifications.
How to install:-
1.download from dropbox link.
2.using root explorer copy/paste this app in system/app.
3.set permissions as rw-r-r
4.reboot.

No screenshots as it is same as stock task manager.
Will this work with other phones besides phones manufactured by Gnusmas (Samsung in reverse)?

I think its right time to bring it up again as cm7 and cm9 for gal y now could be used for daily purpose so this post could prove important......
Did anyone ever tried this? Every time I install rom toolbox , then open it, then give it su permission. Then it will uninstall itself automatically.

i had this problem too. after install rom toolbox i open it and it deinstall itself
i make a full wipe and the problem was gone

I never install it. I always push it into system/app with rw-r--r permission. Never face any problem.

Why do you need to go into all that when u can simply install it as a normal apk?
ROM Toolbox Fix
I switched my rom on my atrix from GB to CM9. I redownloaded ROM toolbox and kept having the issue. I tried many of the same steps as you did and all failed. Finally I went to sdcard/App_Manager/ and deleted all ROM Toolbox data. then re-installed ROM Toolbox and it worked.

How to change bootanimation on 4.0.4 samsung roms?
I'm not sure about ability to change BA in Sammy FW, but:
you need custom kernel and bootanimation.zip file.
When you have them, copy .zip to /system/media/, set rw-r--r-- perms, reboot.
Or use bootanimation changer for S2.

This is working at CM9 rom...
But at Samsung rom .. no.
The bootanimation.zip is not in /system/media/

I am unable to install the stock JB gallery app...i have rooted my Note II and i tried pushing it into /system/app and set the permissions too correctly but i am not able to install it.
Can anyone make a flashable zip or give me he apk so that i can push it into the system?
I love the stock gallery app and i would love to use it on a phone such as Note II

Hi! I move app from stock vendor/app to port, but in port this app not shows in Settings-Apps. In stock ROM it shows.
also i moved to system/app, data/app, permissions set 0644. Stock and port versions is 4.2.2.
maybe trouble in manifest?
