[R] Disable safe mode boot - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My phone is booting all the time into safe mode, because volume down key is stuck (is not working in recovery / rom)
so I was wondering if it is possible to disable the safe mode boot, must be a file in the system or modifying the kernel, bootloader, boot, staging?
developers please help out!
Thanks

wrong section §§§§

Wrong section but I believe it is because a issue with pushing on the volume buttons while booting up . Try not to do that/clean the buttons.

You should use the x10 flashtool and flash the 2.1 firmware and start all over

flashed an odin package ??
that happens on simply honey sometimes, going into recovery (GB bootloaders needed - vol down and power) and disabling voodoo fixes it, reboot and leave for 15 min then you can enable voodoo whenever you want

ODIN requires download mode not recovery. Can you access download mode with the buttons?
- If so, then just ODIN. Also, if you can get download mode maybe try to ODIN the GB-bootloader and try the fix above.
Good luck!

Bricked S2?

recently soft bricked my new AT&T S2.I have clockwork recovery installed (4.0.0.2), and the only buttons that work are home (goes back to the first menu), volume up/down, and power to hide the menus. I can't select anything at all, it seems like I have the international version of the recovery, not one for the S2.Anyways, I can't get into download mode by holding down the home + Vol up+ power, and Odin can't seem to connect to my phone if it's in clockwork recovery and not download mode.Would the jig work? Or is having no ability to boot into download mode pretty much a killer? I can access my phone through ADB, I just don't know my way around adb as well as I would like.Is there any way to flash a different recovery via ADB? Any other solutions to get my phone up and running again? Because right now it's not booting at all.
EDIT: Managed to get back into the system. It's running the International ROM instead of mine though, so the buttons are wonky. Does anyone know where I can find the ODIN files to flash back to stock AT&T S2?

First off, that's not how you get into download mode. Turn the phone off, hold both VOLUME BUTTONS ONLY, and plug in the USB cable.
With my phone, If I hold down both volume buttons and power on, it goes to clockwork recovery. If I turn the phone on holding the volume up and the home button, it goes to download (now).
I fixed that issue already though, the problem at hand is that I have the i9100 boot and firmware on here, and need the stock Odin files to fix. Can't find the files though. : /

Also available in the Download Repository linked in my signature.
...me too....
WOW DISREGARD - too stupid to realize soft buttons work with CWM recovery. They didn't before...very premature post, my apologies
For the bootloop, I selected Advanced in CWM recovery, and then selected "Fix permissions" then I installed update from SD card. Now it works! Back to being a noob and hating my life.
-----------
I seem to have bricked my phone too...I was using ROM manager to install cm9 update (yeah, I NOW know I should not have used ROM manager). I used ODIN to re-flash cwm recovery enabled kernel. I can go to recovery, but it does not let me select any of the menu options. And when I boot the phone, it still sends me into a bootloop.
One time it did say "signature verification failed" but it doesn't say that anymore, it just doesn't move. I've read around about signature verification issues, but I haven't found anything that gets me anywhere.
I know this is pretty noobish, but I really appreciate any help!

[Q] Galaxy S4 stuck going into Odin mode "Downloading Do not turn off target"

[Q] Galaxy S4 stuck going into Odin mode "Downloading Do not turn off target"
Hey Everyone, I hope someone can help me out on this issue I have been having. I searched the forum and could not seem to find a solution to my specific problem. So here it is.... I have a Rooted S4, and I downloaded both ROM manager and TWRP, they both do the same thing. It seems as though how ever I try to get my phone to start in Recovery mode it always ends up going into the Odin download mode. I have tried every combo I can think of i.e. power button + vol down + home, pwr + vol. up + home, pwr + both vol. up & down + home, etc.... and NOTHING seems to want to boot my phone into recovery, it always goes to the "Downloading" "Odin Mode" screen. Any thoughts on how I can get it to boot to recovery? Oh I also tried booting to recovery via the buttons within TWRP and ROM manager and still didn't work
Thanks for the help!!!
I think I have figured out my issue (Sorry I am kind of new to this stuff). The version I am currently on is VRUAME7, and it looks like the latest "Root/ Recovery" out there is only the Root portion and not the recovery, thus why I can not get into recovery.... does this sound correct?

You are correct - ME7 will prohibit flashing any custom recoveries (so far......)

I9300 safemode issue

I'm having an issue with my phone volume down button. Even though I can physically press it without any problem ,the phone itself won't detect keypress. So I cant even go to download mode.
At first I have tried to clean the cache, dalvic and tried the same rom - not working
Tried that volume up+ power thing while it turn on ... not working
cleaned the phone physically but there were no dust or anything -not working
Installed original rom after formatting my partitions still not working
Still my phone stuck with safe mode. If this issue cant be fixed can anyone suggest me to disable safe mode in this phone or suggest me a rom which is not having safemode function . I know it's really dumb question to ask. But I have no other option to left .
please help me out !
@SLDarKprince, step out of safemode by hard reset:
press Power for ≈5s.
Reboot into downloadmode via TerminalEmulator:
su
reboot download
or into recovery:
reboot recovery

How can you flash firmware and following factory reset without working volume switch?

the rom which i used , had power option menu which include "recovery, download, power off, restart". So i hadnt any issue with it. Also at that time it detect vol.down button sometimes. But now.. it dosent work at all
...so it wasn't firmware. And flashing firmware by Odin would be the way to repair any software-bug. But unlikely, that you manage it without power buttons.
A new phone?

Boot loop, can't enter recovery mode

Hi,
I tried installing LOS14 on my Samsung Galaxy SII i9100. The installing failed. i was on cm12.1 iirc.
I already installed stock rom from updato(.)com and can't access recovery mode, tried Siyah-s2-v4.1.5 kernel but i still can't acess recovery mode, i press the buttons vol up + home but the phone ignores the command and just boot and keeps showing the logo. I can only acess download mode. Using odin3 v1.85.
On google i just find dead links or really old posts from 2013 with more dead links. Please help :crying:
Okay my phone is alive, thanks for users Hopper8, It_ler and keithross39 for provide solution and choose freaking good host which don't delete the files, but still can't access recovery mode!!! All buttons work, i can turn volume up and down press home button and turn off/on the smarthphone.
Right now i'm on 4.1.2 JellyBean leak. How i'm supposed now to install a custom recovery to install LineageOS14.1 if i can't even go to stock recovery?
Any help?
EDIT:
interesting the flash didn't delete anything from internal sdcard(scard0). Still have here a clocckworkmod/backup from 2015-12-31 o.0 i don't even remember how i did that, since cyanogen mod had a custom recovery and not clockworkmod. I really don't know how to use this backup. My guess is i just followed some guide from someone and said to do this before installing cyanogen mod.
Anyway still can't access recovery mode...
Start from scratch and follow this guide. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/guide-tutorial-samsung-galaxy-s2-i9100-t3538601/

But i still can't access recovery mode.
I press volume+ + Home + Power buttons and release them when i see Galaxy S2 logo like is said in the guide.
But phone just boots in and doesn't go to recovery mode. Can't format /cache and /system partitions =\.
Hi, your mistake is that you release the buttons early, the volume level + Home + Power buttons, hold it down and do not release until you recovery!
