[Q] Flash EVO 3D without USB - HTC EVO 3D

Hi there!
I need a ROM for my EVO 3D, that provides both OTG host connection and access to both rear cameras for development. The problem is that i can't connect it to PC with USB. Phone is not recognized by PC at all, and it doesn't shows any options to choose the USB connection. I have red a lot of manuals about fixing this problem and did what was written, but it still doesn't work.
So, how can i flash my phone without USB connection, from SD card for example? I can connect SD card to PC with card reader.
And the second question: what ROM have i to use?
Sorry for my English, ok?)

Download ROM directly to your SD card (you can do this from your phone), enter recovery, do a full wipe except SD card, choose .zip from your SD card and hit yes. Oh, and make a nand backup of your current ROM in case something goes wrong

[Q] Help Please! Optimus V wont connect to the computer!!

my optimus v is rooted and has cm7 on it. It worked fine until today when i tried to connect my phone to my computer. When the "usb Mass Storage" icon shows up and i press mount, all it does is say "sd card can now be safely removed." It can only charge for now when connected. Here are all the steps i have tried to fix it,
*Tried different Usb Port
*Turned on/off debug
*Installed and Updated my Drivers
*Used apps for usb tether
*Reboot, Unmount
I haven't tried to reflash a rom but i dont think that will work. I haven't taken the sd card out and put it in the computer because i lost the micro sd reader. I do think that its the crappy stock sd card that came with the phone might be the problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

[Q] Boot from external SD Card

OK, I made a stupid mistake and before I throw my phone away, I thought I would at least check to see if someone has a recommendation first.
In CWM, I chose to format system, data, and all the other format options. It essentially wiped my device, and then when I chose to reboot recovery, it hangs at the Vibrant screen. I am now not able to boot into recovery. I assume that my choice in formatting everything removed recovery? Not a problem in and of itself because I can get my phone into download mode and use Odin to put my recovery and desired ROM except that my micro USB port is damaged to the point that my phone will not charge or connect to a PC.
In short, is there a way to install a version of recovery onto my external sd card and then have my phone boot from external SD card? Since I cannot physically plug my phone into a computer, the only way I can think of getting files onto the device is via the external SD card.
Any other suggestions are appreciated, including what to do with my new brick
You can always fix the USB port on your phone so don't toss it, unless you want to toss it my way!
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

[Q] HTC evo3d problems help

Hi everyone,
after 1 year expericing with evo 3d everything is ok,
but in the last month some problems are killing me.
1- when i put the usb connection to download image, after i get sd error and cant see any images from gallery. (files are visible with android assistan, visible after rebooting, tried different cables, different sd, the system doesnt sees anymore images of applications, maybe some refresh problem?)
2- when i turn off the screen and connected to wifi or datamobile, both turn off till i turn on the screen, its a very annoying problem...
3- also the music application cant find my mp3 folder with music.
4- when i open gmail at first it says "no data connection", even if i'm connected, and clicking refresh works. (but i have to click everytime!!!,,,,
5- today i got also a strange grey icon of the battery with an ? on it, first time ever seen it.
other miscellanea information:
the phone is all original, i'm using apex launcher instead of sense, there is a lot of free space on sd, the phone never fell on the floor, nor in the water. camera is working great and all other function, no lag in applications,,
i hope some of you great xda master can help me finding a solution,
thanks to all.

ps. does exist an application that cancel all unused application files in the sdcard? thanks again.
1 and 3 sound like a bad sd card or card reader in the phone. The rest sound like an OS bug, which a factory reset should hopefully clear up.

What do you mean "cancel?"
thanks for the answer,
i guess is the sd card, il try a factory reset. the new sd card that caused problem is a samsung 16 gb cas 6, i thoght it was good.
i mean wipe the garbage, like all those files left behind from applications uninstalled and no longer used.
thanks again.

Well, normally when you connect the USB cable and choose to connect the USB storage then the SD card becomes unavailable to the phone but the computer can then access it. Both the computer and the phone cannot access the SD card at the same time... I will spare you the technical reasons but you should know that this is normal. After you are done copying files with the computer then you must turn off this USB storage mode so the phone can access the SD card again and then it will see all your music and pictures again (all these are stored on your card by default).
This should all be fixed OK by a reboot of the phone though in any case. Are you sure you rebooted the phone completely? maybe you should try to remove the battery once?
If you've done all that then you can try to repair the SD card by taking it out of the phone and using micro sd to SDHC adapter and inserting it directly into a computer then using windows to run a chkdsk on it.
hi,
i've done all you said properly, you know the problem came out because there was a differente behavior than in the past.
i remove securely the phone from pc and then is not accessible,
i didn't tried to chdsk the sdcard i'll try, but it sounded strange to me because its brand new.
i also tried to contact htc , they said " try to reboot, or try to remove the battery and the sd and start the phone again, the problem wasnt gone.
thanks for the advice.

Well if it's just gotten corrupted then you can just reformat the sd card. You'll want to backup all your data first so if you can't do that from the USB connection to the PC then you'll need to insert it directly into a pc. Once you've formatted it you can put your backed up data back on the card and put it back in the phone and after a while it will find your mp3s again. If it's truly a bad sd card then the reformat won't help.
Do you have another sdcard? The one that came with the phone or any other? Try putting some mp3s and photos on it and then put that in your phone. If your phone recognizes the photos and mp3s then maybe your current sdcard is the problem. And can you tell the the format of your sdcard? Is it NTFS or exFAT or FAT32? If it is UHS-1 card there is a good chance that it is in exFAT. To make it work on Evo 3d, convert it to FAT32 .

Hello, today I wiped my data thru TWRP and now im stuck in boot system ( Pixel Experience )
My pc doesnt recognize my phone , maybe its the cable or the port fault, so i cannot transfer files. I thought to use an micro sd card, I found one in the house but its very old ( 128Mb ) I know in system it used to work but in TWRP I dont see any external storage. I even formated in FAT32 the sdcard, it may not work
because it's very old? Shall I try to get a new one? Whats the solutin if a new cable and a new micro sd card wont work to transfer files into my storage?
Format data again from TWRP. Restart to recovery.
See if your PC recognizes your phone.

I don't understand why it doesn't detect my micro sd, I tried with another one and twrp doesn't see any other storage. I think my cable is screwed that's why it doesn't connect to PC, also it charges only with only slow charging mode, I hope its not my port fault.
Strange, I would try formatting internal storage too.
Another option would be pen drive with otg cable/adapter.
Ensure the storage is mounted.
I cleaned very well my port and now it worked
