If anybody has question how to root this, how to translate for your language, how to recover or flash, do not hesitate, contact me.

Hi m8 . I have ur same phone so I have been looking for a custom rom for it. Actually, I have not been able to found it BUT....maybe we could use a custom rom for Jiayu G2 cause that cellphone have the same baseband, kernel, memory, chip... I would try to use it but I have not an original rom for recover the phone If did not works so... I'm looking for a factory rom at this momment. Do you have the original rom? I found it (I guess) on a chinnese web, but the .zip file is protected with password so I cant unzip it. Anyway I opened it and feel like no fake but the password is the problem. You said that you flashed with the original rom. Do you have it? Where can I found it?

If you tell me a place to upload, I can give it to you (without compression ~ 400MB)
G2? I have try the G3... but not matched... My basis was the shape of the phone, not the chipset Do you think, G2 is the right one? I see on the pictures G2 have a hard button in middle of the bottom side...

I dont think, the G2 is the right one, because of the hard button of the middle in the bottom side of the phone, but, who knows?

Yes, the button is not the same but maybe is controlled whit the same driver and would be work correctly. I would try it, but without an original rom for recover it I'm not greedy for testing it.
I'm looking for a battery with more capacity too, and maybe Jiayu G2S battery would fit fine in the phone. Poles + and - are in the right position, connectors are in the right zone too and Voltage is basically the same (3.6v A5 vs 3.7v JG2S) so I will buy one and will try to use it. (it are cheap so will not be too risky).

Of course. Sry so much! I will loose my head someday :silly:. The password is --> bbs[dot]sjwxjz[dot]com (just change "[dot] for a dot"). It was a crazy but I was able to found it searching trough different chinesse webs .
If you search on that page "KPT A5" you can find all the old versions too, so maybe we should put some eyes on it for be ready if they upload another one new version. This (C2C6) was uploaded on 2013-04-28 so is the newest for now.

As I said to you, that new version probably just fix some bugs or add stability, less ram consumptions... but if they are updating its a good news for us.
I'm waiting for a new 16GB SD card for flash it. I want try to make some partitions for have more ROM and RAM using some tutorials too. If it works fine I'll post it here. I was looking jiayu G2s battery, but it have only 3 poles and our battery have 4. Phone can't started , I see just the KpT logo, after that the phone isn't working.

I can understand it a bite but I have a friend who can read it well and he helped to me with this.
I'm looking for a battery yet (maybe a generic would fit fine). I wanna try to flash the Jiayu G2 custom ROM with android 4.1.2 If it works will be a great news . If phone do not boot, maybe I would try to make a ported version using C2-C6 version on mid july.
I ordered a silicone rubber Jiayu G3 case too for test if KPT A5 fit on it (4$). It will need do some little cuts (camera flash and back speaker) but would be better than the plastic cover.
EDIT: The phone do not fit good at all on Jiayu G3 silicone rubber . The KPT A5 is a little big. So we have not silicone rubber yet. I will keep looking one. The case had a protection sticking film as gift and, again, KPT A5 screen is a little big for it.

Well, I'm looking not for an original battery (1.700mAh) but a battery with more capacity (maybe 2.000-2200mAh) that fit on the phone . Stock battery able me to use the phone during two days but I want try to hold the battery autonomy a few days more.
I ordered an 16GB SD card for the phone too, but I'm waiting for it yet. I'll make some partitions for use it like RAM and ROM extensions and flash Jiayu G2 custom rom.

Jiayu G2 have the same specifications that our KPT A5. Double SIM included . It have the same screen resolution, same RAM, ROM, MTK6575, chips, baseband... so maybe, I just say maybe, a custom rom for it will works fine for ours phones . Only the menu button and volume buttons are differents.

I have compiled all the software and roms needed to factory-flash and root my M-horse 9500mini.
I have included my "how to" notes in each directory.
I know this phone is sold under many badges from China and I believe yours is one of these.
There are two roms (*.Pac) included, one is Android 4.n (I use this,) and the other I believe is Android 2.n (denoted at end of file name by 4p and 2p).
I have only tested the Android 4.n rom.
Programs include : latest root-master, latest super-user, latest Research-download and Phone drivers for Win XP including USB to Serial drivers.
Download from the following links and use 7zip or other program to join the two files together.
Sorry about the size of files, the rom images are quite large.

Hi. I have same phone. I was installed a lot of same firmware but every time phone screen do not work. Phone is working but screen is only white. Methinks display size or resulation is not compatible with my phone. I do not try your roms yet. What is the phone display size and screen resulation of your phone? It's hard to say about this as the spare part maybe rare.
Even though I "operate" my phones myself, but in order to fix any phone, you have to tear it apart and check if there is any cable loose broken.
By your statement, this can be your LCD malfunction. I tried to search around, but spare part seems to be difficult.
My only suggestion now is, dissemble your phone and check if there is any loose cable joint or something.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. But I think it has to do with the display settings for the rom file I have flashed. Before the phone got bricked, the display was working fine, except the phone was pattern locked and I tried to format it. Even though, the format was successful the phone started boot looping. It would just display the boot logo and restart. So now that I've flashed with the file you gave me, it boots fully and I can hear the start up tone and even the touch tones when I touch certain parts of the screen. But the screen remains white throughout. So I am thinking if there is a way to edit/ modify the display settings for the rom before flashing it. I have no idea about it though. I think there's nothing wrong with your phone ... you just haven't found the correct ROM. It will work like 'out of the box' as soon as you reflash.
Modifying the display setting for the ROM? I think you have to start with exactly the right ROM ... unless someone else joins this thread, who has more knowledge!
I was able to get my M-HORSE 9500mini working again by searching the site, NeedROM. I never got the 'white screen' but only because I avoided flashing anything that wasn't (exactly right) for my model. But, I saw others who had the same problem you reported, for this same phone.
NeedROM provides detailed phone identification info, even down to photos of the labels under the battery. Don't use the ROM until you see that everything matches 100%.
Just the name of the phone isn't enough ... this phone comes in different builds, sharing the same name. You would be the only one who could make sure, with the phone in your hand, and matching it exactly with the details accompanying each ROM before downloading or flashing anything.

Yeap, agree with you.
You may need to get into your phone's "Factory Test" mode by pressing Vol UP + Power. From here you should be able to see more info about your previous ROM. Then you can start searching around.
It took me almost 1 month before I got into this thread, flashed the file and got my phone working. I am still looking for working recovery for the phone.

The files you need are very specific to not only the phone name, but the version of the MediaTek CPU it uses as well. Many knock-offs like Alps often make many variants of the same phone or change the brand name slightly but most everything else is the same. I found this : http://www.needrom.com/mobile/one-m7-mt6589/ but you're on your own to verify if that is the exact version you need.

Sorry. There are so many of these knock off phones and they are not very well documented, so hard to find the right stuff. I'd just suggest browsing around here: http://www.needrom.com/ and see if you find something that fits.

Sucks! You lost it, like the phone is lost / stolen? If that is so and you didn't have anything set up like the Android Device Manager, then you're probably really out of luck. Good news is that since your phone is messed up, not likely anyone else is going to enjoy it... That's a fake phone for sure. It exists as "JiaYu G5S+" also on AliExpress. Same front with no brand name (first sign of a fake) but different brand names on the back cover. I bet you got it in a blue box also labelled only "Smart Phone"? Funny phone really. I wish I had one to play with to see what kind of apk's it contains to fake AnTuTu score and device info. It also fools CPU-Z to display totally fake hardware info. Did you try CF-Bench? That phone exists as a no fake 80-90$ Elephone P6i. Elephone has a HK based homepage with ROMs and links to other ROMs. Possibly also a MIUI ROM.

Yes, I said it exists as Elephone P6i, wich has those specifications you list. If that hardware is packaged under the name Elephone or Mijue doesn't matter, the inside is manufactured by a few larger OEM factories for all such brands in China. The same inside as the fake Lenovo S850C in this thread exists as Landvo, Star, KingSing, Zoppo and so on also (with very few small variations). These low budget smart phones usually have that in common that a benchmark app will label the manufacturer as "Alps" and/or the firmware as …alps…
Like I wrote in my previous post in this thread, if you have that fake Lenovo S850C you can flash the ROMs for Elephone P6i from the links I posted. There is even a MIUI ROM for that phone, or at least that is what I have been told by people in the business in China. Use Chrome with autotranslation on if you come to a Chinese page (unless you speak Chinese).

I have not read much about how to 'cook', but I have done some testing, I flashed the system.img other devices and some have worked, not with all the operating hardware, but have started.
Now it is studying to prepare a rom for the device (and I managed to put the CWM recovery v5).

Sorry, I have not identified your model. I do not know how to get it working again.
If you made the backup phone can try to recover it.
To put the rom, it worked for me connect my phone to pc without battery and hold the volume +, hold immediately after connecting the battery button. MTKDroid recognizes and begins to download the files.

What did you do with your phone when you bricked it?
That's a fake Lenovo for sure but in a new version that I have not seen before. It has another home button than the usual fake S850C.
But I guess it's the usual fake S850C hardware with a slightly different exterior. It looks more like a Samsung ripoff than an iPhone ripoff.
You should try to flash the ROMs in this thread or go to the Elephone homepage and look for info there. There are instructions for flashing on the Elephone homepage also.
It's very hard to really brick a MediaTek SoC. If I guess right your phone has a MT6582, not a MT6592. It can be an older MT6577 also and then the MT6582 ROM in this thread won't work.
Install the proper MTK drivers in your Win PC and then use SP Flash Tool for flashing (better than MTKDroidTools). The phone must be switched off (not standby, it must be really off) when you flash. Remove the battery to be sure. If you flash the wrong ROM you will only soft-brick the phone, so no big worry.
There is more info in the fake Jiayu G5S+ thread (also the same as Elephone P6i). I suggest you to read that whole thread. You have everything there (probably).

I was lucky to first make a backup with MTKDroid Tools and prepare for FlashTools, with that could resurrect.
I tried to put the rom of elephone p6i and the phone was unusable. Not even picked load, I thought it was broken.
With no reference model I had, I searched several forums as people did to 'revive'. Trying things that I read, and end with a mixture of several got to come back to life.
The most difficult for me is to find ways that FlashTools should recognize the phone to download the rom. From that moment the phone began to work, and now I'm reading to cook a rom for the device.
You have to keep in mind if you use windows 7, XP, windows 8.1 ... to install the drivers, then see which way the mode for firmware (dfu) is activated on your phone ... From what I read many models share the method to enter dfu, look at my previous post and try to see if it works.
If you do not have the backup, I think the first would find someone who may have or who has risen somewhere.
Also if you can find the phone that is clone, you can serve the rom of this. I think that is where you should focus your efforts.
I started looking for the info of MTKDroidTools (MTK6582, 1Gb Ram., android version, kernel version...), then added the type of display you thought was (FWVGA), ... and reviewing photos phones until I gave with which was the original ..., but I don't found a stock rom for this phone. I also helped another user uploaded a copy of the rom terminal in the post (thanks morpheubr).
All this adds patience, I had the phone as you and the end has come back to life. Good luck.

What I understood is that you want a stable ROM, no? I don't have this device but, if you're a newbie, please use the stock ROM which is most stable. There are a lot of new brands which doesn't have developers' support. Just make sure to always flash the right ROM for your device and you won't get any broken features. Shortly, wipe data and flash stock ROM.
P.S. From my experience: never try to flash a ROM that is made for another device.

Yeah, I too am trying to root this device ... and I did the search on what you had which produces nothing. Any other help would be appreciated.
Hi, I bricked my A33 Quad Core tablet. I was able to root the tablet by kingo Root app, and then on one Russian site I found twrp for A33 and I tried to flash it with the flashify and my tablet got bricked. Since then I was not able to back on the firmware which came in with the tablet.
I used phoenix suit to flash a rom. I am using a rom which is about as good as original was the only problem is that it does not rotate, Just in one form.
I am looking for the right firmware, if anyone can help or if I can fix this issue by installing some application.
I have attached the picture of my original recovery and the picture of my board.
I accidently found out, if you hold your volume up button and then also press the power button for 10 sec and then leave vol+up and power button simultaneously, your tablet will boot in recovery mode. Works for me.
