I downloaded the Clean Master app based off a review on XDA Portal to cleanup unused items in The Note 2. I found that this app gives you a list of apps, in File Manager , that can be moved to your SD Card . I was able to move most of my large files to my SD Card . In settings internal phone storage became larger and ext storage reduced by the same amount. I also found several Youtube videos on this app . The app is for free in App Store .I found this app to be extremely helpful and a simple way to transfer apps to your SD Card .

Hate to burst your bubble but my beautiful widgets app also has data on the sdcard. This is normal for this app. Also unless something in Android has changed, you can't put widgets on your sdcard, they will stop working.

This is just another way to directory bind. Its not really moving the app per say to the sdcard, its moving the data folder to the sdcard and then pointing the app to it in its original folder on the internal memory. But like posted above, there are many ways to do this.

Also this script is only compatible with TW roms you obviously are liable for any and all modifications you choose to do to your phone/OS, what works for me may not in fact work for you. GNII variants "should" have no issues with this method if instructions are followed and A TW rom is presently installed on said device. Questions are always best via pm, I do tend to be more active in the at&t/international sub forums.

I created this because there is one floating around here on the forums that is actually a fake jellybean inverted apps flashable .zip this one is completely real. I compiled this file myself and contains the latest G apps and inverted jellybean apps. This should work on all devices but use at your own risk. This is for CM 10 and AOKP JB only.
Disclaimer:
I am not responsible if you do not read this OP and break your phone. If your significant other leaves you because you become more addicted to your phone. If you wake up one day as a black and white speckled jellybean.

Directions:
I recommend a full wipe but only if its your first time using JustinBean Aroma.

Open up the JustinBean aroma file within cwm.
Wipe Cache within the JustinBean aroma application. (If you are using a new kernel select option three wipe cache and kernel)
Install what you want
Finish running installer then you have the option to reboot or go back to clockwork mod.
Installer will wait 30 sec before rebooting this is to ensure that everything is installed fully.
Enjoy and please don't forget to use the thank you button.
This is a custom installer that will allow you the user to choose which converted applications you would like to install. The choice now is completely up to you you can pick one to all none it's completely your choice. This is a completely touch process where you touch the screen to choose which you would like to install. You can install the latest launchers you can also install app add-ons such as ES file explorer.
Note:
If you are experiencing touch screen issues please use your volume up and down keys as well as the power button to select your options. Since this is a universal app there is only so much one can do to make it universal for all. Install a couple big games and watch internal storage go bye-bye. So much for letting the OS do its thing.
I use DirectoryBind to redirect big apps to my sdcard. App isn't perfect, but it works.

I don't know if this mentioned yet, but you might be aware that you can't move apps to your ext. SD Card to free up space on your phone.
For some reasons Apps2SD doesn't seem to work on Samsung phones.
After doing a bit of browsing/research I came across an app called "FolderMount." [Requires Root]
This works by mounting folders in your ext. SDcard to your internal SD Card, fooling your device into thinking your external storage is part of your internal storage.
Here is a quote by the developer:
madmack said:
Today some apps store big files over the internal SD card (e.g. Games, Podcasts, Offline RSS feeds, Pictures, Offline navigation software). Typically users have a small internal sd card size (~16GB) while the external SD is a lot bigger (~32-64GB). Most of these apps don't have an option to use the external SD card to store data so they starve your internal SD card memory. I'm bringing this solution to fix this issue. In my case, I use this app to mount offline navigation software and some GameLoft games (NFS anyone?).
Doesn't this do the same thing as previous apps?
There are a few apps that already do this. However, my app differs in that:
a) Some of the existing apps aren't maintained anymore. FolderMount will be maintained by me as we go forward.
b) While most of the previous apps work properly in most cases, I found them not very intuitive to setup initially and were lacking some necessary "sanity checks" before linking folders. I intend to keep this app as intuitive and bug free as possible.
c) Support for Android 4.2.2! No app will currently do that for you, so here it is. (dev talk: this uses the debuggerd service trick to get it to work).

Agree. Worth every penny. I just bought a 64gb MicroSD today, so I'm happy I'm able to make use of it lol
My money......you will take it.
I bought it from play store. I agree this is a great app. I would love to be able to do one mount. For example mount all of android folder to external instead of sub folders and when installing new apps it automatically writes to SD card. Another option would be great is to have your external SD card act as internal and swap them around.
This app is well worth the cost.

Let's use Modern Combat 4 as an example for this:
Once you download Modern Combat, it stores all of its data on your internal SDcard in the following location:
/Android/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftM4HM
This folder is somewhere around 2GB i believe, or something like that.
The goal FolderMount is to move the above folder to your external MicroSD, but at the same time, fool your phone into thinking that the folder data is still in the internal drive.
To do this, do the following;
Download and install FolderMouint and give it root permissions.
Start the applications and click at on the "+".
For Name, Put in Modern Combat 4
For Source, chose Android -> obb -> com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftM4HM and press the checkmark button at the top.
You will get a message saying the following
"Would you like me to create the destination folder automatically?..blah blah blah"
Just choose yes.
Now press the Check mark button at the top again. It will start to move all the files to your external MicroSD card.
Once that has been completed, in the main FolderMount screen, you will see a little pin beside "Modern Combay 4". Press that and it will mount your folders together and it should work!
Sorry, I kind of rushed through this. Let me know if you need more help
Thank u!

Where is Google Music usually stored? If its in a folder on your SD Card, you should be able to use FolderMount with it, without any problems.

According to every forum I found when I googled this question, its located at "Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music/", however, the folder comes out empty when I find this location. So FolderMount might not help us with this. An alternative to FolderMount for Google Music is an app called Google Play Music+. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2140756
It lets you choose the folder which the music is downloaded to.

Data/data. Look for com. Google play music.... Something close to that. Once you find it look in there and look for a files folder. You'll see mp3's in there

That android /obb folder must be for the octa core G4? I'm rooted but there's no game data there. I looked in the android /data and see some there but not able to get the app to read the files to move. The to mount re, rw.
Has anyone figured this out on the U.S branded G4? Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!!

Works well. Just download and install like any apk (check unknown sources).
Edit - Seems like devices running AOSP Roms are having issues installing the apk. But you guys are lucky enough to already have the 4.2.2 camera
Edit again - for anyone on cm10.1
Just got it working! You have to delete Gallery2.apk ( Stock CM camera) in order to use photosphere and to install the the new camera.
Step 1: Delete or move Gallery2.apk from System/app
Step 2: Install the downloaded apk for the new camera as you would any apk. Make sure unknown sources is checked.
Step 3: Open camera and enjoy!
Thanks bb12489!

I have the apk file on my sdcard. But when I install it it just says app not installed. Now I didn't try moving it into system/app and fixing permissions yet. Just tried installing like a normal apk as you said you did.

Maybe its ROM related? I'm running newtoroots HTC One Sense 5 ROM on my DNA and stock rooted on my Note 8.0 and both installed no problem. Only problem I see, and its not really a problem, is I have 2 cameras and 2 galleries. 1 stock and one 4.3 of each.

Yes I downloaded through Chrome. I think the difference here is that you're sense based and LeroViten (correct me if im wrong) and I are on CM base. Plus a friend of mine just installed the same exact apk from my dropbox onto his GS4 touchwiz base rom and it works no problem for him.

I got the apk installed by pushing it to system/app and fixing permissions to rw-r-r. But when I try to open photosphere mode, it force closes. I'll trying clearing caches now to see if it helps.
Edit: Could we be missing the correct Libs for photosphere?

I have the same, two galleries and two cameras. Both sets work fine. Also on NOS
Just an FYI, works perfectly on Viper.
Can confirm both working on Viper Rom. No need to delete anything or fix permissions. I just installed and everything worked. I launched the camera from the gallery app and played around with photoshere...kinda cool but pretty unlikely you'd ever use it in a real situation. I switched from the camera to video after launching the app from the gallery and it force closed. But I relaunched the camera app by itself and video seemed to work.
Thanks you working fine

Good question, I'm not sure. I heard the 5 minute limit was only when recording in 4k. Is it possible your recordings are larger than 4gb, and you're card is formatted fat32? I think I remember hearing about something similar, with one of my previous devices.

I get the same as you. I have a 64GB class 10 SD card that was formated by the phone. I don't know what format that card is in when the phone formats it or if the format is even the cause. It may just be in the application.

According to this site: http://www.wirelessweek.com/articles/2013/10/4k-video-coming-and-sandisk-making-room 3 minutes of 4k, is 2.1 GB. If I'm doing the math correct, that's 700 MB a minute. So, 5 minutes should be 3.5 GB. A card that is formated fat32, has a 4 GB file size limitation: http://wiki.vuze.com/w/FAT32_file_size_limit

Speaking of camera: how the hell do we stop the camera from "processing" after every shot?
Also, is there a way to manually focus?

So it looks like the software is providing a margine of safety by allowing only 5 min. They just need to write the software so it does continuous recording and just starts a new file when the 4GB limit is reached. This is how many of the older capture software and even modern sports cameras like the GoPro work. You would just create a series of files until you were finished recording.

push and hold to take multiple pictures and that's just the way the sofware is sadly, it has to do that. i think it saves it in memory then pushes it to the sdcard after rendering

I do not have a process bar after taking pictures..It's because you have smart shot enabled. Turn off smart shot and set to auto and you can take shot after shot with out processing showing up.
