The problem by Chinese Clone Handy´s is that the firmware is not compatible to European Firmware.
If you pitch, you must create your own Root-File.
A Member in a other Forum had the same Problem, the european Stock/ Custom Files are not compatible with
his HDC Clone Device and many infomation about his Devices is faked.
Do yourself a favor and buy an orginal Samsung Note Device and then you root your phone and flash
Custom-Roms without any Problems.

I think the Root files for your Device (XDA_ Root File for Note?) is NOT compatible with your Android System!
The Chinese Clone Devices have other chips installed as the Orginal Note:
Edit: The Files that you find in xda Threads are NOT compitable with your system, cause the hardware is different!
Don´t install any files on your phone, cause the chinese import clone devices are NOT compatible with any xda file.
Try a search by google, maybe you find in some chinese threads Root Files,
but i would you advise against it.
Buy an Orginal Samsung Devices and enjoy the Orginal Android Software
And you have NO Problems witth Root and here on XDA are some very nice Custom-Roms

Most likely i have the English ROM to your phone, but i'm not sure that my is for HDC. I have GT-N7102 on MTK6577 with android 4.1.9 in English, probably my manufacturer is STAR. I can provide You ROM if we will 100% sure that is for Your phone.
Otherwise, it is better not to use it may cause brick the phone.

I know there are custom Roms Floating around for the quad core S4 Clones with a different chipset and Roms for multiple MTK6577 devices with other names and specs but does anyone know if there is a Custom Rom out flashable for the S4 I9500 dual core clone?This phone is painful to try to use.It freezes up constantly and drains battery like crazy.Also I can't get Google contacts to sync which I depend on for my contacts list,apparently there is some other contacts app loaded on this thing and I'm not sure what files control Google contacts otherwise I would just pull them out of one of my Sammy phones.I am rooted,CMW is installed and I fixed GPS(that finally works).As it sits,this phone cannot even be used because of all the problems.If someone has a link to a CMW flashable Rom for this specific phone please link me to it.Thanks

I have already tried to port like 3 different mtk6577 roms including 1 meant specifically for a mtk6577 dual core phone and I got nowhere. I switched out and removed all the files in the guides for these mtk devices and it didn't work.

I know that particularity clone doesnt have the MTK6589 processor but there is an thread out here that are working in many custom rom for the clone, go there an read a lot, because there are a lot info on there, and there are also links to all kind of clones also the original rom from chinese...

I have spent hours combing through that thread and have even tried flashing fluffys rom. I will look more there.There is support for the mtk6589 chipset on many clones but beyond a link to the original factory rom zip for my particular clone(which I downloaded already). I can't find anything anywhere even on needrom. Thanks for the link though and for replying to me.

I think it was needrom.com .There are many roms there but you have to find the ones for hdc mtk6577 i9300 S4 clones dual core processor if you have the same piece of crap phone.You will get no help with this phone.Noone is willing to help with it.Everything you learn you will have to learn from your own research. I haven't messed with this phone in months.It's pretty much a lost cause even though I have it running ok now.There is no NFC no matter what the box says,battery life is non-existent(unless you buy an OEM S4 i9300 battery) and the WIFI is weak at best.You can however get GPS working correctly if you research it.It is really just an inferior device.I bought it on accident I got scammed buying a Samsung S4.I never would of wasted my money on this P.O.S. Good luck

same here, I got scammed too, I tried to change the Rom hoping that it would improve the battery life, but no matter which mt6577 based Rom I install, none of them can drive the LCD, therefore I have no picture on the screen, all I have is some dots, but the phone works, I get phone calls and all, that's why I was asking, which one did you get, bc after trying more than 6 Roms I still can't find one that can drive the LCD.

I have the original rom still on mine. I tried several and none of them worked. I even tried building my own. I froze all the apps I could and changed the launcher to nova. In your case I'm afraid it's probably not the rom causing the lcd to not work. My guess is your lcd either **** the bed or if you are lucky maybe just the ribbon connecting the lcd to the motherboard inside came dislodged somehow. (highly unlikely but possible)

I can definitely confirm these battery issues and the WLAN having a low range (to put it mildly). Ok... some bluetooth problems as well...
Anyway I'm using this phone for a second SIM.
Even it sounds like you've stopped investigating about this phone: did you stumble on any news?
Is it really possible to install a ClockworkRecovery to that particular HDC 9500 MTK6577 Dual core phone without causing a brick?
(E.g. with MTK Droid Root & Tools?)

i have flash again my backed up ROM with SP Flash Tools but the problems is still there... i have lost my Samsung Interface !

Hello androiders , I have a problem . I have a clone samsung galaxy S5 , and I want to reflash rom on it to fix it's problem (no signal it works just for some moments once). So i installed drivers and mtk droid tools and there writes mt6589 , ok I downloaded a lot of mt6589 rom's from internet and avery time I try to flash it , I get the same error is something like CHIP_TYPE_DO_NOT_MATCH . Can please somewone give me some help ? I don't want to go on service , because the scope is to me fix it , instead to know it's fixed. Thanks for reading , please help with any information.
This is a common issue with cheap knock off devices and to be honest you won't find much help here. We don't deal with cheap knock knock off devices and most developers don't touch anything with mtk chips.

i have a Mediacom Phonepad X520U and it works on a Kitkat rom wich its not stable and because of it i face a lot of problems like rebooting it self and wifi stucking everytimes . while searching on the official website i found an other model "S531 that have a same specs as my smartphone " Mtk6592m board ,1 gh ram, 16 gb rom,camera and all things are the same..." except it includes only an infrared remote control and the display is IPS and for my smartphone is an Amoled HD but the resolution is the same.
i flashed my smartphone with the other Model Lolipop rom and the flash ended successfuly and i felt that the rom work fine but the screen stay black.
my question is how can i modify the display files in the rom to make it work perfectly with my Model
so please i need your help and thanks a lot in advance
